https://www.nufc.co.uk/news/latest-news/barrow-2-newcastle-united-u23s-3 Finished 2-3. Not surprised it was close if we only played with 10 men like the match report says.

They will come out with some bollocks about being a season behind in premiership tv money and having to play catch up. Then someone will mention Brighton, huddersfield and Fulham and they will change the subject. All the loans are really so we can bid 30m for loftus-cheek. That will be 1m under their asking price and he will go to palace who pay it. We will get Alan Judge. On loan.

To be fair. Mike Ashley wants a team that just survives relegation every year. That is what rafa is giving him. Can't see us getting anywhere near top half at the minute. Certainly time to rectify that but only if the money is made available and charnley and co push deals through rather than gambling for every last penny they can save. In previous form I have no idea how we can complete the amount of deals we need to before the end or the window.

Morecambe are more likely to shell 18m out than us. Get wise before it's too late.
-
It's fucking brainless. He won't sell up at a reasonable price, he won't put reasonable money in. He is syponing all the money back that he ever put in, with interest. He is a complete gambler and surely soon if not already he will be turning profit off our own backs so if his gamble of not backing rafa and hoping he keeps us up backfires, selling at a loss when we are back in the championship or lower means nothing to his pocket.

Think of that 3 figure sum we are getting just from him being there...

And that's all she wrote.

I don't understand why there isn't another ref looking at the VAR why does he have to go look himself. It's like some old school British wrestling shenanigans building up the tension and working the crowd. It's needless theatrics. I thought there was supposed to be a fourth ref in charge to do that.

Harsh but his hand comes down to the ball instinctively there surely. Hands were in the same position but his left shot down in comparison to his right. Maybe just basic balance but tough call either way.
-
Could go either way that.
-
Great goal that.
-
Cracking finish that.

Don't see the upgrade of Phillips over Ritchie. Would rather keep Ritchie. I would be happy to have him to replace Aaron's though. Was hoping we were in for Phillips the year QPR went down. He really hasn't done much of note since.

I dunno. It's a crazy market. Young, English with premiership experience and potential. 5m is the new 10m. Somewhere in between is likely maybe rising to 10m.
-
Surprised we didn't take sangare to Ireland with this in mind. Bit of a shitter this. He worked hard, got his head down and never complained being out of the team. Still a fair bit of potential to realise but also wouldn't have been more than a squad player this year. Scratch another one of the 4 or 5 Benitez wanted off the list if we are replacing Hayden too. We can't handle that amount of deals. Especially at the rate we ship players out, which is always the priority when it comes to incoming vs outgoing. Heard Catts has sent the feelers out.

Don't really get how the European leagues will run, unless they continue regardless. The international squads get together the month before it starts so oct-jan is what players are likely missing. Aug-oct then a 3 month break and resume? Jan- August? What about the following season. On the upside either way we will be alright!
-
Doesn't matter how he leaves as long as he leaves.
-
Great stuff if he can get off his high horse over wages to make the move happen. Be surprised if we even want a fee.
-
Can't wait until Ashley proves us all wrong by releasing the transfer war chest. #wait. It's released he just he has just been very cyptic to lee charnley as to where it's buried.
-
Silly rumour aside, spunking at least 25m on bringing Gini back wouldn't be my preference. Should be able to get someone better for that money. If it happened I wouldn't complain too much but I don't think he is the missing link for us at no.10.
-
reckon we have a better chance
-
Heard they need people to mow and look after the pitch. BYOM If fans are willing they could also donate their time on the gate and serving food too. Maybe some admin tasks here and there. Out of the box and into the chairman's pocket.

We will end up with Tristan Abrahams now, well its a striker at least. (edited previous post to still reflect my ignorance - stupid autocorrect)
-
Sniffing around Abraham(s) again. Charnley located the donught stained dossier with his nose and transfered it from the "appease Rafa but never get serious" pile and put it back into the monitoring basket. Also Jonathan Kodjia linked. Seems more like the territory we will be in for a striker Plea > Rondon - Abraham(s) > Kodjia > Rhodes > Bridges = SOLD
