  1. The desperate hope of a new thread for old hopeful news. Fingers crossed.
  2. Confirmed by Spanish media to Valencia now til 2017. Thread change and closure lol. Fine work SSN.
  3. That and a not finding a better alternative to gomis if we get him. To be fair to him. Gomis wasn't such a bad option 5/6 years ago.
  4. Doumbia is closer to what we need. Pace, power and versatility. Seems a bit like oberfemi from the limited amount I have seen. In a way he might be better for us in the short term than berahino and might work better with Mitro. Also reported to have a great character and attitude on the training ground and towards other players. Gomis brings next to nothing. A slight upgrade on Shola, won't compliment Mitro at all. Would be a massive failure if we end up there.
  5. Rather Gayle than Gomis. But both smack of desperation and would be a complete failure in achieving our number one target for the last few windows.
  6. Honestly can't see us getting gomis, surely agent talk to drive up price. If we aren't going all out to get the best striker possible then we might as well stick with what we have and get relegated. This has been a need for how many windows? Zero excuses.
  7. It comes at a good time for perez as we have run him into the ground. He obviously won't necessarily see losing a starting spot that way but he needs a rest.
  8. Good luck to him, always liked him off the pitch. Served us well in his first two years, should have been shifted after that.
  9. Aye. Happy for him to go for now and get games. Can't see him coming back but hopefully he does.

    Adam Armstrong

He's definitely injured. Was out in town with his Auntie Sunday and was asking how things were going for him. Siem didn't injure himself witnessing it? A Miracle. Maybe he has new powers to pass on his bad injury luck to others.. stick him with Colback and Gouffran for a few weeks.
  11. Still need a Striker, LB and CB though. I accepted the fact we wont get any defenders but someone that WILL finish chances is the difference between championship and premiership.
  12. It's like the majority of decisions made by our people in charge. It means nothing at the end of the day - but makes us look unnecessarily stupid, irking and alienating sections of our fanbase again. Small meaningless things except the add up over time.
  13. Wow. This is going to be even messier than Leeds. Literally our entire first 11 will have to go, likely at a fraction of what we have just paid for half of them. Only people from our starting 11 I can see staying are Colback, Colo and Dummett. We will get nowt for them.
  14. So there to get Saylor, Aarons and Riviere up to speed fitness wise. The rest will never make an impact on our first team. Actually thats wide of the mark.. they might have to in the championship. As mentioned its no big deal losing a training match for fitness. Except we made it public against our bitter rivals and now look like a bunch of tards. Why on earth did we big them out of all the possible opponents.

    Loïc Remy

When he was here he oozed more class than any striker we have had here in the past 10 years imo. He instantly made our team look better, created space and was clever with his passing and movement. He is technically gifted on the ball. Only concern would be if we get a fit and motivated Remy.

I don't think we will drop Mitro so easily either. Think it would also be the start of a cabella/thauvin end if we do. We will break any confidence he is building.

Can't see him leaving Lundun town but he would be what we need. Can play up top or be fantastic out wide too. He clearly doesn't think of us as anything but a fallback. That said he will play for money and has always been professional on the pitch even if he has no attachment to the clubs he plays for.
  18. They were already relegated before they brought them in, they just couldn't accept it. Aye but they didn't have a master motivator and psychological guru to guide them right...
  19. Absolutely no way we are staying up.
  20. My immediate reaction after reading his quotes was try laugh and cry simultaneously before trying to find a bucket to kick Ala Clarke. After finding now bucket and being advised by my wife not to use the dogs infront of the child I realised there is little to see here. He basically has to come out with that guff for several reasons. - hoping to claw back some reminder of momentum from the week before and keeping a positive attitude in the squad. Obviously doesn't think being negative is going to help the squad. Might have a point. - he knows we have dropped another bollock which will have pearce and levy rubbing their hands with glee at the ability to hike up the prices further for saido and andros. He had to play the all is well card and big up riviere. Truth is we need to stop fannying around and front up if we want the players. We are desperate despite appearances and other clubs know it. All being said. I probably read more into it and he really does believe we did well. He wasn't even back out and into the dugout for the first goal!
  21. Given very few options around him. Even if and when he won a ball there was zero option to help him out meaning terrible punts forward in hope. That was happening all over the pitch though whenever we had the ball. Saviet looked weak.
  22. Absolute dogshit from start to finish. Never got going down either wing. Aarons looked completely lost and we got completely raped down the left because he isn't a wingback, yet couldn't get anything going forward. To be fair to Watford they closed down well but we never managed to string more than a couple of passes together. Levy and Pearce will be rubbing their hands. We need a someone that can actually finish and now we will have to pay even more extortionate prices for it. Southampton signed someone that can finish and it was the difference. We have three signings that heads so wide without pressure the only place worse would have been heading backwards. 3 at the back just didn't work, I know we are limited for players but playing one of the back three at LB would have been better as was shown later in the game. Back in the shit and hard to see us getting out, again.

    Sunderland

Could care less. He wants to be close to home its an easy gig. He is hardly at him prime and we are losing out. Plus if he gets thrown into the Derby we know we have a 13th man.
