  1. p*ss off Ian. Once again great 3 word post, Dave. I understand why people may be anxious but I think it's reasonable to judge our progress at the end of the window. That's a good idea. Nobody has ever suggested that before. It is certainly an interesting concept considering I don't remember the last time we left a transfer window with the squad stronger than it was before hand. I guess we will replace seniors with youth, although what chance they will be given to get experience and game time to learn, who knows.
  2. Yeah.. but while there are still people ready to pick up the season ticket space for those that have left there will be no change. Short sighted in the least because when that time happens, the hierarchy are going to have to pull a rabbit out of their ass to convince the jaded things can change and that they should come back and put more money into the club. On a transfer related note.. Ashley Young tenuously linked.. yuck, rather have Zaha
  3. Yup i agree with this but as long as Alan trots out the midtable is the best we can hope for line and achieves it (read not get relegated) he's not going anywhere That or people stop turning up in numbers.. question is.. how many people are queuing up to replace those that walk out or rip up season tickets.. how long with that take before there legitimately isn't anyone left willing to pay. Feasibly come game one there is still going to be a portion of fans maybe even wanting to pick up where we left off by leaving mid game. Especially if no real positive transfer action has happened. That aside a bad first day defeat and us stuttering in the following game will quickly put us back in the same place the fans were before the end of the season. Does Ashley care about mid game walk outs? Does he fuck? why would he, those fans already paid up. The media will certainly get on board though, how Ashley feels about that and the potential implications might be slightly different.. but all press is good press. Still think Pardew will be gone by Christmas with us wallowing in the bottom half.
  4. Who didn't actually scrap the system. Yes he disbanded the reserve team and yes he said he regretted doing it but his reasons for doing it were correct and the team would have started again whether Dalglish came to the club or not. Forcing us to play reserve games at St James was wrong, it should be club choice and was having a detrimental effect on the club at the time as the pitch wasn't as good as now. Common misconception that.. Gave me a whole new level of disrespect towards Dogleash. Was the only leg he had to stand on for why he spectacularly failed here... well that and him being an over hyped, dour, shithouse.
  5. why do that? --> keeping up appearances And the worst part, a good majority of our fans see that as us trying and showing ambition to get better players/compete with top clubs etc.. and to be fair on the flipside the rest of the fans are now so skeptical whether the interest would be genuine or not.
  6. Don't worry wont stop the press writing "Cabella jetted off on his holidays after giving strict instructions to his agent to have his destination finalized by his return" and endless waffle inbetween.
  7. Wow didn't know he had an England cap. Have to be careful, scores highly on Pardews on paper scouting technique.. International experience -yes Champions league experience - yes Premier league experience - yes English - yes Who needs to watch him.. Put him on the monitored bracket and tell Lee.
  8. Pictures of him and mapou smiling during work hours? I expect wages to be docked immediately. Bonus for Sylvain for keeping up appearances. On the upside great to see Vurnons lovely face again!
  9. Tbf the sooner Ashley recoups his money the sooner he is off. He doesnt seem to be taking his money back. The idea that he will fck off once he gets his loan back is looking thin. The club is now in his empire. No need to sell. Self sufficient and advertisrs his brands. Job done. Dont smash my fading hopes to oblivion! Yeah that is sadly the reality tbh.. it all depends on the grief he continues to get.. if we continue down the apathy route as a full fanbase then why the hell would he want to leave if the club is making him a tidy profit, not costing him anything and acting as a vessel to promote his other ventures.. On the flip side If he is still getting shit and we crank it up he increases his grip on Rangers all the time. When they are back in Europe and if we accidentally get there something will have to give.
  10. Tbf the sooner Ashley recoups his money the sooner he is off.
  11. f*** me, I am not even mad in the slightest about losing Debuchy. I am f***ing livid about the fee though.. what in the actual f***. Unless we get Jenkinson as well.. Floored by that price. Clubs gone mental.
  12. 'Want to come to Arsenal? 'Do you look equally as s*** playing for them as you have done for France the past couple of games?' '....' 'Well, would love to, will see ya there...or will I? "
  13. Agreed.. thought RB would be more natural for Santon but he managed only to look worse when he played there. That said given an extended run and time to settle there.. maybe he would look better Not likely the ideal situation by any stretch of the imagination.
  14. I wouldn't be unhappy with Richards, always rated him. His shortfalls have been mentioned and its definitely a concern in terms of his fitness and having the top 4 team reject blues.. but Debuchy can also be as much of a liability defensively imo. Are there better options.. probably. But I would be pretty happy to get him in here.
  15. Well I have always thought Saylor would be best out at RB permanently..... http://fc04.deviantart.net/fs70/f/2013/268/e/b/troll_on_titan_by_captain_allister-d6nx265.jpg

  17. f***ing hell, how many dogs is there around here? A Saaaaayyy What? http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-J5FQWzbXRBg/Tz78m6ZEUtI/AAAAAAAAARk/QsIKTOlYS6A/s400/Group+DogNoses+-+2.gif
  18. He is totally gone, was the minute Yohan left. I was resigned to that a long time ago. What is important now is that there are multiple clubs interested in him. Hopefully Arsenal havent tapped him up so much he won't consider France. We can get some serious money for him imo. (yeah I know it wont be reinvested yada yada.. but still)
  19. We will sell Debuchy, we will buy Richards, Richards will get injured and be out all season, we will have to play Raylor.
