    John Carver

Disgusting move which comes as no surprise from disgusting upper management. No surprises here. See everyone in the championship next year. This year is done.
  2. This is my new hope. If we want to wait for someone until the summer and are happy with Carver, what's the hold up. Touch wood. Please don't appoint him tmrw. Hoping the hold up is that they are working on getting an interim and ironing out the contract etc. I was also convinced we would appoint Garde last week in time for the two week break though. Surely we have to hear one way or another no tomorrow?

    Lee Charnley

After the noises he made about the need for better communication, combined with saying we should know what the plan is by this weekend, there better be an announcement tomorrow. That said when the inevitable finally happens and Carver is appointed until seasons end I don't know what I will do. Honestly don't think I can stomach watching a shitter Pardew clone drag us into a relegation battle. Fucking horrific couple of months coming up by the looks of things.
  4. Just wait til he takes them to the final and they fluke a win.

  6. I'm so desperate for someone to come in like this. I have already resigned myself to waiting til the summer to be underwhelmed by Steve f***ing Mclaren. After more weeks of do boer, tuchel, Galtier and by then Benitez being announced as our main target by the rags. The thought of Carver getting more games in charge turns my stomach. I absolutely fear for our premier league status. To be fair I do regardless of any short term appointment right nowhere.. This has already drifted into farce territory and a few of our players have seemingly given up. We will simply sink under Carver. At least we might put up a fight with someone new as interim.
  7. Same Schuster we denied being interested in the ,Knute his name came into the equation early this week? He has buckled under media pressure at almost every club. Not even sure how he got the Real job to begin with. Smoke alarms going off at this one.

  9. Post of the year right there. ridiculous... Just make it compulsory for fans to wear sports direct paraphernalia. Can't risk losing revenue on sports direct ale, lager and pies with a giant SD made out of pastry.
  10. Good god why have we done fuck all still... This fucking clubs management fuck. Right now the one underlying priority and need is getting someone in that isn't Carver. Preferably a permanent candidate comes in now, but failing that I am happy for an interim til seasons end and get a new boss in May. Anything but keep charver from letting us nosedived into the relegation zone.

Agree with babalooba. Some great things happening there, as in many MLS clubs now taking on essentially a championship club each as their b teams. Not so much in agreement with Duece. I just don't get the Bekker hype. I'm glad he has moved on and will hopefully get starts/minutes with Dallas that he wasn't ever likely to get with TFC. Seemed well out of his depth, slow and ineffective every time I have seen him play. He has somewhat decent vision and technique and will work hard but I'd be shocked if he isn't on the waived list come season end. I hope he turns things around to show his rumoured early potential, I haven't seen it though. Compared to the likes of osorio, tiebert and maybe even Bustos and Froese he is a long way behind imo.
  12. To me it reads like we want Remi, but now. He wants his coaching staff, we won't pay for them/the won't come so he is happy to wait until the summer instead. Think we are trying to call his bluff and are putting pressure on him to come now by saying we have other options and can wait for even more options come summer. While they aren't ruling it in the chronicle article out it doesn't look like they fancy Carver for the rest of the season either. Could have easily mention of carver being backed or capable to lead the team until the end of the season if no permanent solution is found this week.

    Hitzfeld

Instead he is just a very naughty boy.
  14. So the lazy bugger went to the city/arsenal game but not ours the day before.. Wants off to arsenal already..
  15. If that was the case I'd expect him by now to be pissy bout it and to acknowledge that to put the pressure on charnley to give him a ring. I'm hopeful.
  16. To be fair he hardly rejected it, just said... "Today I say nothing.".. But tomorrow.... ..I say balls, why pick Lawrie Sanchez ahead of me?

Giovinco turns down, Arsenal, Spurs, Monaco, Fiorentina "apparently". Big payday. Great signing for the league. http://www.tsn.ca/talent/toronto-fc-signs-italian-international-giovinco-from-juventus-1.185336?
  18. Well if that is what's happening, they probably didn't want to throw him into two games where we would likely be beaten. Although on the face of it Southampton were very beatable today. Also think of those two weeks of saved wages... Might also have been a case of.. Carr - get Remi Charnley - yes he is good but expensive Ashley - well maybe wait it out and see how Carver does til the break, at worst four losses won't break us.
  19. It's possible that the silence has ensued after they've met and the club have asked Garde to keep silent for whatever reason and that's why France has been quiet for a while. I doubt it though tbh, I'm just not hopeful over this appointment. To be fair, if he wasn't in the running I would expect he or a club source would have said so. Likewise if the talks that are supposed have happened went badly it would have been reported somewhere. Still crossing my fingers he will be announced either tmrw or Monday. Does seem strange he wouldn't at least be there to watch the game if that was the case. But to be honest if he has two weeks to get to know them now, he won't get anything more from watching live than watching the coverage and working with them til the Burnley game. It also doesn't upset the players, fans or staff that he is there. I still live in hope, like every transfer window. Fool.
  20. Would be completely underwhelmed with McLaren. Even more so now we have been linked with Garde, Tuchel and De Boer. Didn't rate him at Boro, didn't rate him with England, didn't follow his success abroad but fair play sometimes the right set up can work, maybe it would here. Has done well at Derby although he walked into a good set up from his predecessor paying dividends. We need a complete break from English clogger coaches imo, of which Mclaren is the best of a bad bunch. Biggest thing for me, obviously other than talent, is that the new coach has to have passion and personality enough to reunite fans and make believers of the many skeptics. The whole fan base needs a boost. The likes of Mclaren are like boosting fans with a slap to the face with a wet salmon.

  22. Wait til the midnight official confirmation of Carver til the end of the season.
  23. Everyone calm down. Refs on the N-O take.. He doesn't want Carver as manager either.

Yeah it's completely ridiculous. And they're perfectly happy to ignore the "rules" when they see fit. Lampard, for instance, unlike every other DP prior to him, was allowed to sign a contract directly with a club, rather than with the league. Because They need to overhaul the transfer system, raise the salary cap (and salary floor) tremendously, and probably give each club another DP slot. all but the first thing is rumoured to be happening in the CBA agreement talks. First won't because Garber likes the buck stopping with him on big topics or transfers, so they make him look good.
