He is the new Silvio Maric.

Emotional moment. Really gave the whole place a lift. So happy for Jonas, great character who has come through so much. Given how inept everyone else looks I don't think this will be his last appearance for us.

Putrid performance. Manure were utter garbage tonight. Rarely seen them look so ineffective..despite what charver will shout about and the chronicle will wax lyrical about, that wasnt down to us and how we played either. We are so clueless. On the upside the cunt will never last the season if they decide he is the man to hold the true vision of excellence this club hierarchy wants. Carver is utter utter turd, he might have even got more time if he was likeable, he's not he's a cunt and a useless one at that.

Remember when he was linked after Souness.. Would have been nice then, let alone now.

I don't think it's even a question of Sunderland winning or losing.. I think they could quite possibly lose their remaining fixtures and still stay up, teams below have some tough trips. Here's hoping though.

Real tragedy these won't get relegated, especially with mercenary Defoe and scumbag poyet. None of the bottom teams have a great run in though. Think it's between the bottom 4 to go down, even with such a small happy I don't see any of those four picking up enough points to bridge the gap.

Don't really get the talk of Tiote getting sold in the summer, is his stock high enough to merit it? I guess we will still make a profit on what we paid for him. Would rather gamble we get a new coach that isn't Carver and that coach can play him and use him where he works most effectively, hopefully his stock will then be high enough to get real money for him in January. I know that sounds silly, if he is playing well again, why sell him? I just think he is limited, I'd rather we cashed him in for as much as we can get. His stock is low now IMO, drive it up and hopefully buy a more rounded replacement, or just bloody play Abeid.

However many posts take us to December when he is sacked and we are languishing at the bottom of the table. It is a given he will be here until then.

A word of warning to anyone that hasn't already experienced this.. don't get nostalgic and watch videos of us pre-souness. Playing a freeflowing attacking brand of football with pace seems so far away. It is also so depressing how it highlights how badly we have fallen and how mediocre we are. Barring our stadium and fans there is nothing that distinguishes us from any other team in the bottom half of the premiership and top half of the championship. Barring brief stints under Hughton and odd spells in games, we have not seen a side with the balls and unity to play attractive and organised football.
-
At least he has the backing of all the players and they certainly played like they were behind him today. If he ends up getting the job I honestly don't know how I can continue supporting the team, its one humilation after the next and we are treated with utter contempt by the club staff and officials. I guess it will just be another case of watching and hoping we lose every game until he resigns or is sacked like this past year with Pardew.

He is clearly not a bad player, as Ronaldo says he isn't physical enough to cope. He did however look fantastic for us late last year when given a run in the team and was even an attacking threat. A midfield enforcer he certainly isnt though. He is best at work tidying up and connecting play but unfortunatley he doesnt have the vision of cabaye nor the physicality of tiote to be relied upon as a sole DM. It all depends who he plays alongside imo.

Its all the injuries marra. never stood a chance. Only thing that is tragic is how it won't make a shed of difference come the end the season when he is appointed full time. On the upside, he wont be able to cope with the crowd and media pressure his inevitable shit team performances bring, will never last a season.

On trial with mls clubs and turned away within the next 3 years.

Think they probably have enough points to be safe. Leicester and Burnley look destined. QPR and Villa might get new manager rub but they look terrible. Mackems are also on the cusp of bombing. Could see palace easily losing the majority of their games left and still staying up because those others won't pick up points.

Same Ameobi motivation problem. I swear the best I saw shola was under kinnear. Never seen him actually busting a gut all over the pitch. Like shola, plenty of potential, a good coach will do wonders but essentially sammy is only really going to reach his potential if Sammy lets himself.

Wait a sec how tiny is she? Rolando is only 5'9. Could probably put her in his pocket and take her to training.

When I saw the first pic and reminisced about the good times, Sir Les and Ginola...then scrolled down to see what stifler had done to it.. http://stream1.gifsoup.com/webroot/animatedgifs3/2163529_o.gif http://gifrific.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/Bill-Murray-Laughs-Then-Turns-Sad.gif

On the upside he won't have time to show anyone he is any good so we sell him. Might not play for us but will at least be a newcastle player next season.

Suits our club under Ashley to be honest. Saggy should be in jail right now, charlatan and overrated to fuck. I would actually prefer carver. Maybe that's the club spin,Trott out and talk up the likes of saggy, Phil brown or a past his sell by date venables and suddenly carver doesn't look bad. Ironically venables was best suited to our type of system, well away from spending any money. Far too old and out of the game now.

Press suck ups seek club suck ups for suckup interview. Any surprise all of these quoted people are the people likely struggle to Keep their jobs under a competent coach? Sick of the c list ex-players and useless suck up current players coming out of the woodwork to stick the knife in or make themselves relevant with the club. That said, I'd be lying if there wasn't a part of me that would like Steve Watson back at the club, loved him when he was here.
-
Barring a monumental run of crap form and finishing lower than 12th the he is getting the job full time in the summer. Madness to expect otherwise. Club and local press, certainly still seem to have a remit to push him on us and build him up. Last time hope lived here was right before Hughton was sacked.
-
Carver, he will be out the door quicker. That said like Venables, Saggs is probably best placed at a club where he has no control over transfers or money dealings.
-
Garde in. No doubt with the connections Sir Les has there Sherwood will be in the running.maybe Hoddle fancies it though. Good for the club though, always liked QPR until the Fernandes era.
