Does have the right to have a pop back at shearer - yes Does he have a right to take a pop back at any of the many critics draggin his name through the dirt - yes But it's tit for tat. He is incapable of understanding why people are upset and more importantly taking the high road and just getting on with his job and trying to prove people wrong. He thinks he is much better than anyone is giving himself credit for, well that's fine but he should also know, having been in the game so long, how the media works and not rise to it. I am sure in the future after he leaves the club we will hear how it was a no win situation Job where any good player bought will be Carr or Pardew and bad signings will be his. Well I hope he accepts that early and doesn't turn it round and making it all about him when they are a team. Herein lies the problem with Mr. Kinnear he is incapable of grace and will always turn everything around to be about him. Why is it always the fans taking the high road while the monkeys at the club run it's name through the dirt. Words are cheap i kinnear means it he and the club needs to show it for once.

Will be interesting to see what we are bringing in CB wise. Do we need another young up and comer or someone experienced like Lescott. Other than the stupid wages I'd pick someone experienced like the latter. We have Streete, Mbabu, Satka and Tavernier all at the club.. is someone young going to impede their progress? I'd rather they had another experienced hand to learn from.

Guy is an absolute beast.. One of a few players to bring optimism back to next seasons hopes. Others being bigi, mapou, Colo staying, haidara and a fit santon pushing each other an marveauxs improvement and praying consistent fitness!

the milburn family are happy. Unfortunate timing for the announcement a day after shearer bashed the club.
-
Think it's a great move, they Obviously need the change. No doubt the press will have another field day with this.. From absolutely nothing.
-
Maybe that is where Joe has been the past 9 years. Can see him talking to framed pictures of Fergie and Wenger morning before he helps punters try boots on.
-
No, Jol is still waiting patiently for a call.. http://i1199.photobucket.com/albums/aa469/kasper36/Newcastle%20United%20FC%20-%20The%20Animated%20Series/jol.gif *Kasper must be having a field day of possibilities for Kinnear, Padew, Ashley, Carr and Lambezy.

Ok actually shitting it that Carr might leave. Pray it's bollocks. I have never advocated protests especially not at games, but if this is true.. I think something has to be done outside the ground. This is an absolute nightmare and potentially a catalyst for relegation. The best we can hope for is a takeover. With all the bad feeling right now it would be a good time for an investor to bid.

Could the whole Douglas thing not have been blown out of proportion and actually just been put on hold until Kinnear has taken a look at him. I can understand Kinnear wanting to check him out, seeing as it would be his first authorised signing. Absolutely every player we signed will be scrutinized by the public because it relates to JFK now. I wouldn't just let it happen without checking either. Given the dicking us about Douglas has already done and who knows how much he was demanding wages or signing on. I don't think its unreasonable to back off the transfer. Granted our DOF should really have his finger on the pulse not in his ass to know who he is. If we spend 6m or more on Tompkins I will cry more than I have been every night for the past few days post Kinnears return. Oh and once again, I am absolutely overjoyed that cretin Lambias is gone "worried about his reputation?" fuck me that was shit five minutes after arriving at the club.

Thought we have a bunch of scouts but based in different countries.. like Asprilla who just recommend players or us to look at and then its up to Carr to take it further, obviously Carr does his own work based on these type of talent spotters and his contacts.
-
Gerry Francis must be a shoe in for our new coach... if this idea is not absolutely completely dead in the water, like our goal scoring centre half.
-
Just to clear that up

Never thought I'd say that if Pardew does go I hope Ashley's still got Redknapp's number. I'd say that is a step too far but we are talking about bloody Glen Hoddle and John Gregory here.. where does it end.. Ron Atkinson must be rubbing his hands together.. one person that can upset our squad more than Joe.
-
Brian Little and George Graham. I actually remember a time that I desperately wanted George Graham here. Thought he would be great to seal up our defence. Problem is our attacking play would be as bad as it is now.
-
Let not forget Terence Vegetables is still around.. heavily linked before Kinnear took over. Think that was the first sign of us fans breaking.. remember lots of people actually considering Glen Hoddle when it was Venables, O'Leary or him.. bloody grim. Someone needs to burn Ashleys Panini sticker albums from the 80's, might bring us forward a bit.
-
O'Leary is gutted he has been working behind the bar for years now, doesn't even get a decent tip..
-
I might stick a tenner on Ian Holloway. Worked with Kinnear before and would jump at the chance.
-
I'm not sure he will, I think he was grateful to get a premier league job and is happy to keep a hold of it for next few years. He was truly shocking as a manager last season and don't really want him to go into next season but the alternative - well who knows Big Joe or someone that the fibmeister himself finds. To horrific to think about He knows he is in a no win position, was always the case after last season. Ashley has him by the balls. No chance he will give up the role, he is never getting a job bigger than this one. Ego or not he will dig his claws in to stay and make it work. Maybe.. and its a slim chance it will make him reassess his tactics and knuckle down to improve himself, thereby improving our team... ....don't hold your breath though, Gerry Francis and Glen Hoddle are waiting in the wings.
-
It is a purely mental decision to bring Kinnear in for this role..but I can see where Ashley is coming from, not that I agree with it. - Has worked with Ashley before and has his trust and respect - Knows the club - Has connections in the footballing world - Has lengthy experience of working under tight budgets - Has worked at different clubs and knows football unlike Lambias I think its an easy decision for Ashley because he likes Kinnear, respects him and feels he is someone he trusts to get this kind of job done. I can understand why Ashley has gone for someone he knows he can work with and trust, especially in such an important role that liases with him. On paper having someone for the position with football experience makes perfect sense. Problem is there are surely a list longer than this thread of people that could do the same job far better. For instance someone like David Dein would have been perfect. Ashley has completely misjudged the damaging effect Kinnear could and quite possibly will have with his outbursts in the media. Not saying this can't improve the club, as unlikely as it seems right now, but this is certainly the biggest gamble yet from Ashley. Years of wishing for the deafening PR silence to end.. now we will be wishing for silence again!
-
This has weighed downthe disappointment of kinnears arrival. Absolutely fantastic day that this cretin leaves the club. Never learnt how to speak to the fans. Only problem is we have swapped frustrating silence for frustrating lack of silence from kinnear and his bs.
-
more angry at this than the Kinnear appointment. But because its JFK's fault I can now vent my rage further about his appointment.
-
Fuck me, if this is true...... Exactly the type of defender we need. Severely pissed off if this is true. That said some papers said yesterday Douglas was his prime target.
-
Think there is a high chance of wires being crossed due to this tbh.. http://www.mirror.co.uk/tv/tv-news/doctor-who-rory-kinnear-has-1944490 Do fancy JK as the next Doctor though... "Bowties are cool doctor?" "Fuck off you bunch of cunts"
-
Don't think that is particularly the case, and a bit of conjecture. He was linked to a fair few foreign imports when he was here. None of them came off though. He signed a few foreigners a Wimbledon, but this was at a time when the majority of British teams had a majority of British players playing for them. In between the madness he said, I am certain we will pick the best players available at the best price regardless of where they come from. Wouldn't say Kinnear was a long ball merchant either, but you are probably right with the style of player he might look for, he likes a more direct smash and grab style or traditional using wingers. Wouldn't say Premier league or local makes a difference. Absolute f***ing disaster he is back at the club though. Other teams will be absolutely dreading receiving a phone call. Sure it won't take long for certain teams to refuse to deal with us, due to Kinnear offending them.

well for a start another season of this.. Then this - new contract - "Tiote is a ready made replacement for cabaye as our box to box midfielder - "we are lucky to have such versatility, with cisse playing on the right wing we can really get the best out of shola, who I think will prove alot of people wrong that said we should have bought another striker this past summer."
