    Loïc Remy

Blatantly holding back the Debuchy news so we can unveil them together.

Dreaming of it! No mentions from the club that we are looking for that though, it is a priority for this window for me though. We need four players for four positions. Never happening.

Ronaldo is right tbf, marveaux prefers to sit deeper and hang back to try and create something. He also lacks the defensive qualities and physical presence to be a box to box midfielder. We also have no one busting a gut to come through the middle and haven't since Nolan left. It has been a gaping hole in our team for a year and a half that leaves us unbalanced and easy to shut down offensively. We sit far too deep in the centre which invites pressure and restricts our attacking play to long ball and sporadic wing attacks.
  4. My sentiments exactly. I really like the guy but he is Andy o'brien in disguise. At his best he has good judgement and aerial presence. Unfortunately his lack of pace is always exposed which causes him to panic, shirt pull and make rash challenges. Must be replaced in the summer. Will hopefully be 4 choice until then.
  5. Like us to get in for Zaha tbh. Think we could get him for a touch less than Remy. Don't have a problem with us sending a delegation out for youth players, its an area we still need to improve. Tbh it is a good thing it hasn't been ignored given everything else that is going on.
  6. Picturing Ibrahimović sobbing in a dark room, illuminated by the N-O message board. Bigi still makes a lot of silly decisions but no more than Tiote. Lots of promise in the former, prayers for the later to rediscover his former self.
  7. ..and as if losing to this lot again wasn't bad enough, its on bloody ITV!

Good post, you're spot on there. Agree also. What was so disappointing is that despite the late goals against we played decent football for an hour at OT and the Emirates. The Ba saga gave us a golden chance to build on that by playing Cisse centrally and playing creative players around him. Instead we get Shola and then more route one crud with Ranger as well as Shola. Pardew admitted he got the subs wrong against Arsenal yet still thinks the only way to get a late goal is to play hoof. Once he got t wrong the first sub should have been Bigi for Shola. I understand why he went with that. It was the wrong decision but if that is what he had set up to do and the team had trained specifically for then it makes some sort of sense. I'd hope for the obvious in coming games though, despite evidence suggesting Pardew will do his own thing to prove a point before switching. The players are so ingrained with hoofball it has become not only our last resort but a panic default. Subbing Obertan was one of the most stupid decisions I have seen him make, although I remember him doing similar with Ben Arfa on more than one occasion. It is enfuriating that we can all see what our coaches cant, which makes me wonder if he is just isn't man enough to own up to mistakes and protecting his ego. Either way it is hurting the club this year. Last year we punched well above and got very fortuitous at the end of the day we are a team with a top 8 starting 11 but a mid to bottom squad. Top 12 is about where we should have been last and this season.
  9. It's just the classic pardew ease him in tactics. We will see him next season in the championship. Half joking aside though, pardew did say don't expect much from him this year. I would have thought he could have made the bench today though. Looked neat and tidy when he has played but very lightweight.
  10. Spot on. But will be dropped or moved back to the right wing when the latter is back.

    Alan Pardew

It is not like he has even show us he knows what to do tactically over the past year and a half. He isn't a young up and coming manager either. He seems to have implemented a great togetherness at the club and training ground, but that isn't necessarily just him responsible for that. He also seems to be good at blooding new signings and giving them time, this myth comes from his insistence of not playing the likes of Marveaux and Hatem until he really had to. Which could have quite plausibly been an accident dressed up as "easing people in". Despite managing free flowing sides at West Ham, Reading and Charlton, we are yet to see any semblance of attacking fluidity although the last few games has been as good as any under him. We had an awful lot of luck as well as some great finishing and defending last year to see us 5th, again I am not convinced that has anything to do with how he set the squad up. In fact it could be in spite of his tactics. Either he needs to sack off or demote Carver or some of his coaching staff and get assistants that can help him with tactics or he needs to sack himself. Patience might be the answer but it is hard to give when you are seeing something special to you being wrecked weekly in front of your eyes.

I have no confidence that Pardew will set out squad up any different though, Long balls and sporadic wing play with a central midfield set up on the edge of our own penalty area. We have nothing through the center which leaves us with nothing when Cisse is marked and our wings shut down.

Love to see the Everton board in Moyes third season when the finished 17th after 7th the year before. Don't show Ashley that though.. I would say Pardew needs time, but he shows absolutely no tactical awareness when we are in a hole, his substitutions are largely baffling and his starting line ups questionable at best. He is getting time from Ashley but if things don't turn around very soon I think that time will run out.

He is in trouble.. I don't think he is in danger yet, but losing to Brighton and lack of signings will almost certainly blow the fans against him. Interesting to see what Derek and the Fat man will do. No coincidence the details of Pardews 8 year contract were leaked a short while ago. I don't think they will be too afraid to sack him. God help us if they do though, they won't get anyone better in.
  15. No rift in the squad my bollocks. Colo is a shade of his former self and has been for the past 3 months.
  16. This. It's not going to happen. Not yet. The fans will turn if we lose to Brighton again though, then it is a true up hill battle. Everything is going to depend on signings to keep the discontent simmering long enough to hopefully pick up some points. Worrying.
  17. Don't expect an analysis... Things just went against us today, injuries, Demba leaving getting into players heads, story of the past few weeks.. blah blah blah. Don't panic infront of the camera, shit yourself Pardew off it. Better be a big week in the transfer window or you could very well be fucked. Another loss at Brighton (which looks destined) and the shit will almost certainly hit the fan, or the fans like usual.
  18. Complete difference maker. He is a midfielder that can physically dominate the midfield and play in general. We don't have anyone like that currently, which restricts us to bypassing midfield through long ball or trying to play down the wings. It is not a new problem either, its been the case for a year and a half. The last ten minutes were equally as shameful as the end of the Arsenal game. Players were standing around doing nothing in our own box, we couldn't pass, no one was moving. Shola was his unique s*** self, Williamson was too busy hugging players arms to defend, Krul and Colo were on a mission to see who could launch the ball furthest down field with every touch and everyone else could care less. There was no effort or creativity bar Sammy. Everyone in the club should be ashamed at themselves. To be honest I think, by now, they already are. The bigger problem is how long they dwell on their shortcomings and if they are actually arsed to do anything about it other than mope around. If its the latter then rejoining the Championship is a real possibility. I still don't think that will happen but finishing top half is a stretch at this stage. Horrible Horrible, totally avoidable situation.

Absolute plank - does not have a fucking clue. Subbing Oba was a complete an utter joke just like the past two months at this football club.
  20. Quite frankly baffling. The only plate that is causing them trouble. Fuck me, pardew you clueless nonce.
  21. That said, as ever, Perch is doing a decent job. Cisse is working hard but in no way should be playing Right Wing and defending so much.
  22. Shola was already down and barely in control of the ball imo. As Yorkie says, I would be fuming if the same was given against us.
