Don't worry that will be Pardews excuse, as it was last time. The commentary was as appalling as the reffing and our performance. However I had to agree with their disbelief in why we only had two strikers in the box and refused to commit any men forward even in stoppage time. Ironic Nolan had to remind us how he has not been replaced in our side. It was a problem last year with the central midfield playing too deep and it is still hurting us this year.

He is a complete and utter plank..... but he was our plank and I have a tiny soft spot left for him.

Great stuff! Well deserved, guy has so much potential to add to the talent he already has. Exciting stuff.

Wont be in the match day squad but it is baby steps and obvious reward for working hard. Very possible we might see him in the last match though if we manage to achieve qualification either tmrw or the following match.

Hoof up front and not much by way of defending, but the way he brought it down was sensational. Didn't think it was as good as the commentators were saying for sure. Shocking defending as much as skill. Great skill, no doubt but there are plenty of other players on the pitch I would have expected the same from.

Yeah, it was out of character, but far more of a red than Tiotes. Nowt to complain about here, your not going to tackle someone like that, granted maybe he wanted to pop the ball not Suarez by stamping on it. Frustrating because it is out of character and we lose our best player for 3 matches. He tried to pull out far to late after realizing he was making a very bad decision.

This. Sammy, Ben Arfa and Ferguson all on the pitch at the same time = way forward. No more Gutierrez in the team please. He is getting worse every week. Still not feeling Anita, and Cisse is playing uber poo with all the position changing he has had to do. It has to be Ba OR Cisse going forward. They can't play together under the style and system we have. We desperately missed a left winger in the first half, although Santon did excellently playing LB and LW at the same time. We played some neat passing in the first half though after the shit storm of the first 15 minutes.

He has a surprisingly good pass on him. We have seen him come close to scoring before from long range but he certainly opts for playing it safe most of the time. He certainly deputizes for Tiote well. I like some of what he does better tbh.

The guy looks like he is done at the moment. Yes he doesn't stop working but the work he does is questionable at best. Needs benching and resting badly. We offer nothing down the wing when he is playing.

jekyll and hyde again. Did some great things and some bloody woeful things. Kinda the measure of the man at the moment. I think he is improving albeit at a snails pace. Don't really see why anyone should be getting on his back for todays performance, he was no shittier than the rest of the team that was on the pitch when he came on. He does need some composure. He and Sammy are similar imo, except wor Sammy has the guts to give things more of a go and the confidence to pull it off. I don't know what it will take to get Gabby back to that, think the ship might have sailed. Talents there if our coaches can inspire him and unlock that gigantic pandoras box of a head.

The most disgusting second half performance I have seen from us in years. Disorganized, disinterested. Actually decided to give it a go in the last 5 minutes. Woeful though. In all honesty wouldn't have had anything to complain about if we had lost today. We got lucky with a flukey win and I will take that. Should be a good boost to Cisse too.

We have good players playing badly. No passion, we are too cool we have forgotten to give it a go.

Somehow we are actually get worse and more disinterested.

We have benny as a creative output then one in every ten of Cabayes through balls. We have no other attacking threat.

Everything we deserve, disgusting start to the second half. We have zero passion or interest in winning this game. Pathetic.

Anyone thinking ameobi is coming off is crazy. We are pretty uninspiring without Ben Arfa. Our build up play is so simple. It's fine but we rarely do anything special in the final third (Benny excluded). We could do with buying a replacement for Nolan now. Need someone that will get goals and create problems from the centre. Cabaye is more of a bridge between that and dm.

Amazing how many times this happens. Worse when its an early lunchtime kick off and I get up at 5am to watch it.. could make my day constructive and stay up.. nah, sleep. Worse still when you realise you have messed up your only chance at an extended uninterrupted sleep at the weekend and Sunday is written off too.

Ferguson.. but maybe i let my Fergie man love blind common sense. Obertan is starting to earn some respect but I think Fergie offers more coming back defensively. Jonas needs resting and motivating. Not that he doesn't run his socks off but he just doesn't do what we want from a winger. Maybe he just does what Pards wants from a winger.

Harsh but true. He does all the simple stuff, cleans up, gives a quick easy pass. He doesn't look to be a great creator as of yet. Hopefully just resting him as he will replace Tiotes at the weekend.

Absolute class is Colo, nothing new there though. Have to say really makes me think if he is the best CB I have seen play for us, Woodgate has been the clear winner in the past. It didnt matter who he played alongside he always made us look strong and calm at the back. Colo is probably at least alongside Woodgate now, he really makes a huge difference to how calm we are at the back now which hasn't always been the case. He is certainly played more and has been less of a liability. That said a woodgate/colo partnership..drool.
