Think Fulham will dick them. Looks like they have turned things around if only momentarily. Wonder how much Poyet will be given to wank down the drain this window.
  2. It is absolutley nailed on that we will fart around all window bartering for the best possible deal before it falling through. If we get anyone it will be a late move. Would not be surprised to see Cabs or Krul moving out for significant money too. Obertan and Marveaux will likely go without anyone noticing.
  3. Mapou in for Debuchy but otherwise an unchanged line up for the man city game.
  4. Some of the worst football played in the premier league this season. Are there any sides more uninspiring than us in attack? To be where we are in spite of the Pardew factor is a credit to our players and lady luck. Some truly wreckless passes from Gouffers, cabaye and Tiote. On the upside the game is crying out for Hatem as its so open. On the downside the West Brom Management can change that at half time.
  5. Anita turning into Messi at the edge of the box was pretty special.
  6. Getting another striker in and Cisse out on loan would be belting. He clearly just needs a run in a team and we can't afford to have him playing for us in this form. Good value game but very frustrating we don't have three points. Worst linesman in the history of the game? Sissoko KO-ing Jones was fantastic. Anita faded fast in the last 15 minutes but was true class. His skills on the edge of the box were legendary.
  7. Absolutely beastly again today. Surprised this wasn't bumped already. Crucial tracking back, some great switching from wing to wing and development of a dangerous attacking force down the right with debuchy. And he is still not a winger!
  8. What a difference his game makes when we aren't trying to find him from corners and free kicks.. And likewise the cooling I hatred for him. He's been genuinely solid, how long he can maintain this form is anyone's guess but he is a very likeable guy and deserves the credit he is getting. Those clean sheet stats get higher again.
  9. Still not even close to being a fan. He has shown so much tactical naivety, negativity and stubbornness. We are yet to see us gel as a fluid attacking unit consistently and I don't think that is down to the playing staff. Pardew is a product of the Ashley era..dampen expectations and appear to over deliver, when in reality it's Play safe and do bare minimum to survive. All that said he was truly spot on with everything today going against the grain. From the start I felt we were going to possibly get something from the game. We controlled the game, defended well and even looked dangerous once in a while. If there is one thing we have improved upon dramatically it's our possession game, especially in the middle of the park. While we still havent quite clicked into that real fast paced attacking threat there are signs this season that we are getting there. Respect clawed back today for Pardew but there is so much more to do. Thanks for doing something rare in actually learning from your mistakes Alan. Keep it up and there is hope you will get back to positive marks rather than negative.

    Soccer.

He wants to be in Europe, but he would be better taking the Vancouver Whitecaps job than that. To be fair he did pretty well with Egypt all things considered. Never looking like getting a premier league job though and by he probably would have been an absolute disaster at Villa or the Mackems.
  11. Just as well the squad was ok with the players we had here and no-one new was needed. Obertan is proof of that.
  12. Fairly obvious stuff that'll go straight over a lot of heads as usual. We need results like tonight to remind us. To put us back in our place. To manage unrealistic expectations. It only goes over the heads of trolls on the board here. Everyone else is privy to it and too bloody tired of saying it. We are stuck with the t*** whether we like it or not.
  13. We are likely to lose any game in which our opposition take a positive attacking tactic into the game. We just cant handle it. Or at best will let them back into a game wen we get complacent and even more defensive. I get the safety first outlook and possession football. But I dont like it and we dont even use it well enough to merit it. Not unless we are playing far greater opposition or we are at least 3 goals up.
  14. Shelvey is on fire. National call up form. We are so negative its unreal. It is Pardew scarism at its best. Safety first everytime but we dont have the composure to play safe. he will never ever learn... tbf normally its me complaining that you cant defend a 1 or 2 goal lead. he has surpassed himself this time by trying to defend a game we were losing. Pathetic.
  15. He was god awful at QPR last year.. Think he has lost a decent amount of pace too, although that could have been his woeful fitness! Would have snapped your hand off several season ago. Not sure he is a great investment now
  16. Bit of a shocker if they do end up with both..which is what they are dead set on. Will still be lacking in Midfield and defence though. Seems like a move of Madness from Defoe, but money talks. As long Hodgson has told him it won't effect his chances of making the world cup squad, provided he is playing and playing well, then i don't think its a problem. Wish Whitecaps would stop faffing and appoint a new manager.
  17. Stop fucking shooting FFs! Another solid performance, one misjudgement aside.
  18. sums it up. Absolutely stunning form in the first half..story of Sholas career though. He is an extremely capable and effective player when motivated and focused. This is the best I have seen him since the kinnear spell, where he was our best player. Unfortunately I have little hope he will stay at this mental level because he never has in the past. A winding down contract might help. We will take what we can from him, the run on the team has helped.
  19. So neat and tidy. Gives us a different dimension when he is on. Deserves to be starting but hard to know where and who he would come in for. Classy player though.

    Alan Pardew

If it ain't broke don't fix it. I'd have no problem with that tactic if we were 3/4 up but it was so unneccesarg and risky. We were doing just fine. Absolute suicide sitting back on a 2-0 lead, that's not rocket science, momentum changes in an instant if the opposition scores. blind arrogance and stupidity from pardew.
  21. Great to see him back. Certainly looks trimmer.
