  1. Well we retained Gosling and Bigi is still here, we are covered if Cabs leaves.
  2. Feck me, someone should let Brett Emerton out.
  3. There has been an endless list of strikers, wingers, defenders and midfielders we could have brought in that would have improved our team, most of which have moved to clubs for reasonable prices too. Yet again posturing about finding "the right players" then having no intention of bidding enough to get them. I like most hear still harbor hopes about us getting someone in tmrw, despite trying to downplay expectations we will still be absolutely fuming when nothing happens. This window reminds me of the SBR/Bowyer year. Also quite like last year, we have both a real need and chance to improve the squad to compete. There is zero intention of that happening though at what was formally our club.
  4. Gutted about Moses. That said I would be happy with ayew or ince. We will get neither Liverpool and spurs have led the way with ambition that highlights how pathetic we are. Another summer window passes were we reduce the size of our squad and fail to get the basic signings necessary to progress. As it is the clubs better than us pull further away and the clubs below us improve with signings of intent. All the talk in the past about bridging the gap.. I thought we were talking about the top half of the table not the bottom.

    Papiss Cissé

Longest spell without a goal in his career. Given the last 15 mins, it won't last long if we have that much attacking intent going forward.

  7. Tbh I think like Pardew said, it was the perfect reaction. The git needs to know what he has stuck two fingers up at us and the club. I don't think there is anyone that would begrudge him a move away, but the nonsense he has been drawn into is underhand. The club and especially us fans deserved better. I'm pretty much completely against booing our own players but I think as he came on fans were right to give him some shit. After that back him.
  8. Emre influenced the game more than this bloke tbh. Aye proper harsh on Emre.. he had tons of fucking fight and a decent shot, loved a tackle. Emre was just always fucking injured. Game changer when he played. Could actually attack and dribble through the middle of the park too which we lack. A fit Emre in this team would be wank worthy. That said.. Sissoko Cabaye Ben-Arfa Marveaux Remy Cisse Would be fun to watch for home games.

  10. Just aiming for one player according to Pards... good thing he has absolutely no clue either way.

    Alan Pardew

Well thats all fair and good if they are doing it waving their middle finger around as they chant. Providing its not in the family enclosure.

    Loïc Remy

This. Absolute shocker if we don't. Just have to hope QPR don't go up to ensure he stays. Looked a class above when he came on. Not much of a surprise considering what we have been watching the past 8 months.
  13. If we do manage to sign a couple of players we will be buzzing all week. Usually means we will play like poo poo next game!
  14. you just have to excessively raise the frame rate and use the player cam option on Sky.
  15. His inability to create any kind of space or movement. Cisse too really sucked the life out of the game. Even when Anita had the time to find a pass the movement was woeful.
  16. Some great play from him today. Still undecided about where he should be playing though. I think he is built for and needs to be our driving force through the middle, making Nolan-Esq runs into the box. Yet he seems effective sometime drifting wide. I don't think the latter is an issue as long as we always have someone making those kind of runs into the box.. preferably Colo if we can afford to sacrifice him from defence or Cabaye.
  17. Think the boost of Remy and the Fire of Cabaye coming on really made the difference. Thats being a touch harsh on Gouffers who should be our starting left wing until we actually buy someone capable of playing there. Mapou I thought was excellent alongside Colo Marveaux flatters to deceive really, some gorgeous touches and a few jinky runs. I still think he can play a major part here I am just not sure where. He is certainly no winger, not anymore at any rate. I thought Anita played very well, just doesn't quite have the class of delivery that Cabs does, he and Sissoko seem really limited by Pardews tactics to get forward. Sissoko had one of his better games though, all action, physical and pacey. Good to see. Overall Pardew still lacks the guts to send players forward to support attacks and it kills the team, the crowd and the game. Great to see Remy who seemed to offer us something completely different. I excited to see him and Cisse together. Remy creates so much space by pulling players towards him I think that extra space will be what Cisse needs to grab those goals.
  18. Is exactly right and yet so completely wrong, especially at home. Its not just our midfield. I have seen it with Debuchy as well. There have been gaping holes on the right wing where he should have been bombing forward and giving us an option. It is Pardew's tactics without a doubt. Could not be more depressing. I like the guy but I can't bloody wait until he leaves the club, taking us down without a doubt with absolutely no evidence to suggest he can or knows how to turn it around.
  19. can we have a sweepstake on how many years it is going to take us to replace Nolan? The thing is, he needed replacing which is why I wasn't overly upset when we sold, think we should have kept him in the squad regardless. Sissoko should be this player really but he is too busy running all over the field. If we channeled him directly through the middle he might yet be the replacement.
  20. People with "Knowledge" of the game working out what we have been screaming about for years. Yet again... we never replaced Nolan and we have lacked guts and interest in bursting runs through the middle ever since. Its criminal what we offer for punditry. Other than that glaring deficiency and some really thoughtless passing at times I thought Sissoko and Anita have played well.
  21. Until that bit's been determined I remain sceptical. Its been a few hours since Chelsea signed a winger like "other interested parties" doesn't mean just Chelsea though. Well if thats the case I hope we turn to Victor Moses on loan. We should be in there anyway.
  22. Bite your bloody hand off for that to happen. Which is embarrassing considering at the start of the window we needed that plus another CB and attacking/creative mid. Think there is as much chance of us signing those two as us finishing in the top 10 or us sacking Pardew. Take your pick.
  23. Liverpool looking good for that 6th spot. Some solid signings.. Cissoko (when he is back) and Sahko are great signings. Should be a good fight between Swansea, Everton, Southampton and Norwich for the rest of the top ten, followed by Villa, Fulham, Mackems and maybe us.
  24. Well if they cover all bases one of them has to get it right. To be honest to people wondering why wait to bid now? I think with Thauvin he has his heart set on Marseille and is holding out for it. His agent must have given us some indication that he will consider us if Marseille falls through. Its approaching end game for the window and Marseille looks unlikely so we might as well chance our arm. No point bidding earlier if he was going to hold out for Marseille.
