  1. We sent a fax saying we signing FA today. Quality window for us though all things considered. Didnt really believe we were going to sign a Striker when we have five already in the first team.
  2. Best can go we need the rest Rather have Best than Shola tbh.
  3. It was the obvious conclusion for the SSN genius after hearing Hughton say we were still open to deals and working up to the window close.
  4. Havent really seen much of either past the world cup. Turning 29 in January, Arevalo has only really blossomed the past year or two, while Tiote is a player on the up having just turned 24 in June. Potentially I think we have the better of the two, Tiote seems to have constantly improved. Arevalo might have been a gamble.
  5. Hughton will come out and say so tmrw if true.
  6. Hope not, that would be a bit boring. Still think we will get one or two in. That said, I think we have enough to get us through to January, not the best time to be buying mind.
  7. smokescreen for rick van winkel tbh.
  8. I think so, although its a gamble which didnt pay off with Xisco. I'd rather sign this guy than Keane in a fools hope that he has potential and would be as good. Keane would slip in well to our team and would be much less of a gamble for less money. We shall see.
  9. To be fair to the lad, we will never spend 8 million plus on him and a loan is surely out of the question. Looks quite likely we were watching him but I think we will be persuing Keane as number one target. He fits the bill age and talent wise though, unless Mike thinks its christmas I cant see us spending more than 4/5million and Utrecht wanted at least 8 when Liverpool were interested.
  10. Can see some mileage in the va. Wolfswinkel story, hughton was at the Celtic Utrecht game wasn't he?
  11. Van Wolfswinkel all the way baby!
  12. Still on course for the five year plan! Without doubt they have improved with experience, as Ian W and Bottledog said naivity, not malice has been their un-doing. PR needs improving, they still think business first supporters second, which at the end of the day is hugely important, but they're not mutually exclusive. Regarding the summer spending statement, it was obviously released to smokescreen the press and other clubs without thought of the mayhem it would cause thinking fans. They still need to build a better rapport with us, but overall the club seems to be being run in a very progressive way. Young players are being nurtured and coming through, transfers are frustratingly but thoroughly professional. I hope they see it through.

Still can't come to terms with this happening. Let's hope he doesn't turn out to be shit!

Window when Fat Sam joined seemed like the best, although the Souness Owen/Luque year wasnt too bad either. Neither in reflection were as good as it seemed! Im still a bit worried we have no LB back up for Enrique. Throw Lescott on the list and I might conceed!
  15. Would be very happy about this, gives something different to what we already have plus a ton of experience.
  16. I feel sick. I wanted him at spurs for a while ffs. Quality signing for the bin dippers there.

Close to conclusion.... in comparison to the history of time.
  20. Kinnear seemed to put a rocket up his arse, which lasted about five minutes. He had all the tools to be a decent striker but just ambles around with a cheshire cat grin on his face. Complete waste. Surely he must be out of contract soon?
  21. Why have one when you can have them both.
