  1. Not just Twitter all the reliable rags have it.. Nice pic in the article aswell. http://blogs.loughboroughecho.net/goaltastic/2011/01/new-owner-to-wrestle-control-o.html
  2. Could be... I could win the lottery also!
  3. What complete garbage tbh. He might be as shit as anything I have seen play for us in midfield but he isnt a shirker*. Infact we would be better off if he wasnt flying in for some tackles that he mistimes in stupid places. As for shooting I dont think I ever saw that as his role as a DM and he clearly doesnt have the technique to do more than keeping it simple with 5 yard passes. I see where your going with the rest though especially Fergie messing him around, its no stretch to think the injuries he has had has proven a mental block to any improvement. The lay off is unfortunate in the sense we are lumbered with him for another 6 months at least. God giving we can flog him in the summer to Leeds. *see Souness.
  4. Isn't the whole miscarriage thing supposed to be bullshit aswell? He seems a complete nutcase, much like Michael Johnson potential great player but comes with way too much baggage. All depends on AP's man management skills. Sounds like his attitude has got worse at Villa. Could very easily tumble out of control moving here. Its a big risk, could upset the team spirit and I can see barton twatting him in training if his attitude is out of line. That said they did play together at city and we do have a great squad morale that might be able to help him. Bottom of the barrell stuff though, considering we weren't going to panic buy this window.
  5. Could do much better than Keane. But at 3m I wouldnt mind for a short term solution. Be suprised if we buy a striker though, unless its a pacey one that can play on the wing. AM, a versatile winger or a LB will surely come first.
  6. Can see this one coming back round. Not exactly cockahoop if it does, he blatantly doesnt want to come here. Still prefer someone quicker than Larsson, we might aswell just keep a currently superior Barton out there. A great squad player to have but we should be looking to upgrade the starting eleven.
  7. Whatever the case, the BBC were complete dicks reporting rumour as nailed on fact. Complete dicks. Fair play to Dixon for at least looking a little uncomfortable on Football Focus. To be fair they only ever said BBC sport understands.. is kind of their job to report the news isn't it? Would have come from a pretty trusted source or they wouldnt have put it up. O'Neill has clearly been talking to them. Agree with the tasteless overkill though. West Ham are all over the place, If it wasnt for the redundancy pay Grant surely would have walked. They will probably sell Scott Parker now just to top things off.
  8. I would be laughing my ass off if I was a Sunderland fan, 18m rising to 24m. That money could buy them at least two players better than Darren Bent. Will more than likely finance the Stéphane Sessègnon deal and buy them a decent striker with plenty of money to spare if they want more.
  9. Dissapointed with this one. The lad has the potential but just cant get past his mental block. He knew this was his chance to finally prove himself and has fallen very short. Okay with this if someone is incoming as a replacement. If not it seems a bit pointless.
  10. Same here, sad news. R.I.P.
  11. Is he any better than Puncheon, probably a toss up between the two right now.
  12. At the present state of the squad -> Rather keep him tbh. If we get Taarbat going in exchange then I wouldnt mind. Seems unlikely though.
  13. They would do alot better with Jol than MON imo.
  14. Spammers fans will be jumping for joy at this one. Certainly potential tears though if they think about it. They must be offering MO'N a wad load to go there. Hilarious if he goes and cant turn it around too.
  15. I'm imagining pretty much the same quotes that are all over the ESPN site. http://www.espn.co.uk/football/sport/story/67933.html?CMP=OTC-RSS
  16. Guarenteed to do something stupid and get himself sent off tmrw now! Funny England comments, even if they have just ruined any little chance of him ever getting picked again.
  17. Zlatan's getting the next plane over, don't worry. Or does he not turn up in the big games enough? Wouldn't take him even for free... But would you take him if it meant Smith going in the other direction.
  18. Not endorsing signing Bothroyd either, I think we can do better. Happy to see us looking for value for money. Suprised we dont play the loan market more though.
  19. Not sure we can take his Twitter posts as definitive mate. Why mention anything at all? We are playing the cheap game. Try and nip in, in January so the club will bite ad we can get a player on the cheap. The players are waking up. It is only the clubs that benefit from this. The seller gets a fee and the buyer gets a cheap asset. The player probably loses out as they are more valuable in the summer. The fat c*** needs to wake up, noone is falling for it. Look at the targets Larsson and Bothroyd. They know their value and are not going to be mugged off by that tosser of an MD or the chavy fat t*** of an owner Nowt wrong with playing the market and trying to get value for money. We dont have the resources to break our wage structure and we dont have the pull we had 5/10 years ago.
  20. Kranjcar likely on the way out then?
  21. To be fair he was probably expecting a pay rise going to the premiership. Then he met with Lambias and realised we were cutting his wage in half.
  22. Better than Bothroyd. Worse than average. Would have been playnig for Nigeria years ago if he stopped being lazy and filled in the paperwork.
  23. The same Shola who's career track record is Played 297 Scored 67 which is a goal every 4.4 games Boothroyd's career record is Played 329 Scored 83 which is a goal every 3.9 game The same Bothroyd who has been playing in the Championship for years? f***, even Shola pissed on the Championship. Before Bothroyd's purple patch this season he was mediocre even by Championship standards. To be fair Shola was utter dog shit with Stoke. Regardless I would prefer Shola over Bothroyd. They are similar in respect to complete lack of motivation.
  24. Its a smart move by the morons up top. They will have offered him a contract that is at least half what he gets now, then when he turns it down they at least look like they have tried to keep a player they have wanted to offload almost since they got here. Whilst I can't see him accepting the kind of wage cut we will demand, I dont see alot of clubs paying him too much more than we will. I think he is pretty settled, despite my earlier negativity I would hope we can find some middle ground. He is our most influential player right now.
