  1. suprise fucking suprise, we didnt need Cilla to let us know there were no signings likely to happen, but thanks Joe for telling us we are back to the drawing board anyway.
  2. Rather tempt Carr out of retirement. Neill incapsulates everything thats bad about modern day footballers.
  3. The new Matt Taylor. Wouldnt be bad as back up maybe and would be cheap. There should really be better options out there though.
  4. not impossible but i'd be very surprised if owen went to play abroad. Don't discount the Mourinho factor. Also Owen would thrive most in the Italian league I believe, and Capello would love it too. Lazy journo's ripping off the foreign stories, but this would be a fantastic option IMO if it was true. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/leagues/premierleague/newcastle/4046864/Jose-Mourinho-in-line-for-Michael-Owen-bid.html In the Sun aswell. Suazo plus some cash for Owen would be fantastic. Yes Owen is a match winner and still a great player on his day, but he is leaving at the end of the season for nothing, fact. Selling him abroad would be great too, its a given he will stick goals past everyone for fun again, especially us if he joins another premiership team. Suazo would be a decent signing aswell.
  5. About the same time he shows his true world class potential in the premier league and 6 months after we sell him to wigan for 500k.
  6. Would love us to be putting a cheeky bid in for Niko Kranjcar. High expectations for this window but low belief.
  7. I'm more and more not thinking along the lines of the bold bit. The table is now closing up at the very bottom, and Newcastle continue to perplex. The general dross includes Newcastle. I didnt say we werent included, I meant if we are to have a saving grace it will be in other teams in the premiership playing worse than us. At the minute there are alot more struggling than in previous years. As much as you can see the bottom of the table closing up a couple inconsistent results (that have been happening alot) can see people dragged back into it or pulling away.

    Geremi

This And this... Let no more be said.
  9. Tough call. Our saving grace in the premiership this year (if we dont go down) will be the general dross that fills half the table actually being worse than us. A cup run would be huge and I think we should be going all out for it. The second half of the season largely depends on who we can get into the club in January. There is still everything to play for in the league and FA Cup imo.
  10. moral of the story, dont rely on newcastle for festive cheer. Ever.
  11. Would like to see him replacing jonas on the right, we looked better when they switched it up. I think Jonas will work better through the center in this match. That or bring xisco on.
  12. Kinnear needs to stick a rocket up the arses of every player. Truely woeful, inept performance. People need to wake up and think. Pathetic.
  13. Never thought I'd want to see Geremi put on, especially for Jonas. Be better putting shola or xisco on and putting duff on the right imo.
  14. Jonas has been fucking woefull for a while. Already damage limitation.
  15. seriously do the player not grow up being told if your going to head or kick the ball dont just do it for the sake of it. No one seems to think where the balls they are playing are going to go. its what benitez would call Il terrible!
  16. What brain cells our mongs had seem to have all disappeared now. We are bloody woeful. Disgusting really.
  17. Get in, thats some good news sandwiched between two depressing losses!
  18. No doubt, Geremi and Butt would have rallied us to victory much better. Seemed like the decent choice given what we had. Barton was a non starter. Yes Given would have been great but I dont think a GK carries the same influence as someone outfield. Or were you a voter for candidate Taylor? voted for Beye Actually I think so did I, forgoten about him tbh! Apologies.

  20. I forgot all about him and now you've made my day even worse, I hope you're proud of that. Just be happy the proverb "your only as strong as your weakest link" isnt always true or we really would be fooked, not least because there are too many to choose from.
  21. Thats the word on the street. I bloody hope its right.
