Decent, low cost cover for Barton (of whom nobody knows where the future lies).

Agent: 'Arda Turan will be playing in Italy this coming season'

Whats the idea with this gadgee? Italians playing hardball on the price tag or just everyone keeping heads down, denying his existence in the hope the inflated fee might drop? -
Sebastian Larsson - agent confirms NUFC interest

No contact in over a week hardly sounds like we are set on bringing him in. maybe a good sign we are looking at squad players though. -
You crazy stalking bastards! lol

With all the old women like panic over not getting any players in, I feel it unfair that the coaches situation gets left behind. As much as everyone does or doesnt like terry mac (mainly due to his lack of coaching abilities) surely this is a situation we will be looking at now Round has left. Personally I wouldnt mind two more coaches, although whilst it should relieve keegan of a little pressure you could say it might take away from his magic working with players.

BBC reckon we could join G14 soon, which will be expanded to 77 members

too cool for school. -
Think Yorkie has the logic, should this move actually be truthful. Whilst Krul looked great in one match and has a year at Falkirk under his belt he is nowhere near the pressures of the newcastle first team and he is miles ahead of Foster and Soderberg in terms of development. Will be interesting to see the landscape of the squad come september.

Jonas Gutierrez signed from Mallorca on 5 year deal

Very gracious from Bassedas. I can't remember much about his time here....didn't he break a leg on the US tour or something? Pretty much straight after he got here, came with a good reputation but never really adapted. -
Harper planning to play outfield again? Would make sense to get Krul, Soderberg and Foster out on loan. I doubt many people at the club expected Foster to do so well last season, or even still be around for the next. Seems like an excessive move though and a slap in the face for Harper, maybe they dont trust Given is over his injuries? Hardly an area of the squad that needs attention in comparison to the rest of the field.

you friend MaetihS?

Dickov and the Huckers were linked a month or so back, good to see they are actually out there now. Still think it would be the best move for Ameobi.

Shame don't think we need him anymore. Maybe ship milner out and bring him in. Not too plussed though.
-
Absolutely, really liked Acuna, shame circumstance took him away from us.

Good oh- expect some other rags to come up with a reel of Newcastles greatest hits, including dyer, bowyer, bramble and dyer roasting and a card board cut out reinactment of Bellamy and Carver at the airport. Not to mention Laurent Roberts completely viscious intended attack on Bernard boot the ball in his face with a vincent cassell dub over from irreversable.

Just watched the article online. Farcical, looks like the sentance is suspended. Even more stupid if they are to give him parole as mentioned on SSN.
-
No we haven't. All this, and more.

exciting for the premier league, the end of lampard for a year or two then. (back to west ham or spuds when he flops in Italy).
-
You would think so! I don't really see a way back, depending on the sentance tmrw. Strangely I wouldnt mind keeping him, I dont have a rational reason why, just the hope he might turn himself around, he can be a special player, sadly I dont think thats going to happen. Its not good for the image of a club and sport that is supposed to be family orientated, certainly doesnt reflect well on the club (again), will put players off wanting to come here, maybe parents sending their kids to the academy. Not good for business as far as Ashley is concerned.

Great squad player. wouldnt have a problem taking an automatic first team spot in our current set up. Should have signed him instead of luque and emre when we had him offered on a plate.

Sublime - ridiculous

I don't think I am viewing the club through rose tinted glasses, I just don't see anything to have a go at the club about regarding Steve Round. I don't usually comment about what happens with our coaching staff other than when we've had more than our fair share of injuries. Weve had coaches coming and going long before Round arrived and I've rarely if ever commented, 14 months ago would have been no different. Remember when Robson let Steve Clarke go and replaced him with Mick Wadsworth? Jesus wept. Was about as usefull as Gordon Milne!

More interested in seeing Owen and Harper sign deals, but is a welcome extension, hopefully we can bring someone solid and experienced for him to progress with.

Pace was one of Rozenhals major up points IMO, It was being a nancy boy when it came to the physical side that let him down. Cacapa certainly lacks sharpness needed, like Ronnie says he did have some solid games for us. I am suprised he is staying on, but I dont think he is as bad as he is being made out.
