Pace, power and one of the best headers in the game. Fantastic player in his day, similar to drogba but drogba has the all round package Sir Les just lacked.
-
If we are only looking for a maximum of 3 in, RB surely cant be one of the positions needed. Could see him being a player that Keegan might fancy bringing here though. We have plenty of cover for Beye though and Carr has looked suprisingly sharp the past two matches.

Keegan wants three players in the window, ready made prem stars

Definately one player I hope we are bidding for. Like you say summer is the realistic time, but we certainly wont be alone in bidding for him. Deco, Carrick and SWP's would turn our season upside down. Delusions aside, we wont be seeing any in a toon shirt. -
Rather have Van Buyten if we can get him.

Um ... yeah that's his game. His passing of the ball is excellent. Is this a joke? No. I think he is vastly overrated and is worth about half of what Man Utd paid for him. This. Not complaining if we get him but he really isnt worth half that amount of money. Dont see any grain of truth in Micah Richards or SWP's.. even if they were interested neither club are willing to part with them. -
SWPs wanted him here for years. but we wont get him. defoe dont want him, dont need him. will probably come here crawling over broken glass.
-
Sure yeboah and the coach really appreciate that one being dug up. funny though.

Keegan wants him to put out the cones...

Barton is psycho early lee clark. skipped kicking water buckets and went straight for heads. i think keegan will relish working with him.
-
Will be interesting to see what keegan does. would be suprised if he made the bench, but who knows.
-
Both tbh.. mind you I can see us hiring SBR as DOF just to fit in with BBC's sitcom requirements. Terry Mac either grows his hair again or has to wear a wig and glasses.
-
Wouldnt you say if he doesnt play well most of the time he is pretty unreliable? I used to think all Carr need was motivation. Im not suprised he never lived up to the hype here, despite the injuries he never had any competition, like Babayaro when you know your walking into the team every week you lose desire whether you like it or not. As per usual Carr has been injured, so hasnt had the chance to compete with Beye, if he stays fit, competition and maybe Keegan motivating him maybe he could learn to live again. But I think its way to late, although his pace the last couple of games has suprised me.

What grates you about Coleman? I always thought he did exceptionally well at Fulham, they should have backed him more. Must say he annoyed the piss out of me whenever we were linked to any of his players, but he always came across as a clued in young coach.
-
Are you talking about Carr or Beye here?
-
Got to say, i felt a touch sorry for him tonight after watching his BBC interview. Seems very cut up over Allardyce still, and pretty gutted to be joining the doll cue. Oh well.. good luck with that Nige, he will land on his feet... In Norwich.
-
Strange coincedence. Would certainly like to see him as part of the new set up though. We could do with someone with some serious tactic brains though to make this work.
-
Not mental when Riquelme is coming in.
-
maybe he will bring a couple of new signings to unveil with him! Will be a hectic crazy couple of weeks that is for sure.
-
My bad, he is older than I thought. Young RB will be called for before too long then.
-
Agreed, I could still see us moving for him though. Depends how much KK will rate Carr, who knows he might even be able to motivate him for the first time in his NUFC career. We will need a backup for Beye sooner or later though.
-
god no, im about as connected as much as Martin Jol is living out of his mothers basement. Just lazy speculation, wants a move, would fit in with KK style.

Media trying to stir bad blood with Owen/Keegan already?
toontownman replied to Rich's topic in Football
This. Owens book quotes just make him look like an arrogant little sod, maybe he should of read it before letting his ghost writer send it out to get published. I cant see any problems with Owen and Keegan arising, If anything MO will be sat thanking god he has a manager that will want to play attacking football and to his strengths again. The media is just gutted that a) we arent all in Uproar KK has been appointed, b) we didnt get knocked out like stoke c) keegan is going to get alot of money and backing to upset some London clubs in the future.
