Will be an honour to see 3 of them on sixty minutes being a goal down.

It’s at least 40 shots as there were two on that video after the stats were put up.

Andy Cole was unreal in 93/94 but the team was built around him scoring. Like someone mentioned earlier, having a Beardsley feeding Isak would be magical.

The Gooch was absolutely dogmeat. As was Stephen Ireland.

I’d be very surprised if blocks I-L in the East Stand weren’t corporate in 5 years time.

Selling Stamford Bridge to Clearlake for £2bn. Partly government-funded new stadium.

Captain Steak Bakes (now managing Blackpool/revising history)
Sima replied to David Edgar's topic in Football
“We’ve got a squad good enough and decent enough to take anyone on in this division.” Worth remembering that when he makes another excuse after he’s winless in 10. -
No one is asking them to plan it in that time, more that “the money is there for us to be the very best there is and to have the very best facilities there are”. Seems a more or less open goal, considering there are currently zero constraints on infrastructure from a PSR/what was FFP standpoint. Man Utd’s planned new development is probably the only reason why it doesn’t count towards PSR at all.

After 2 1/2 years they have only just employed people in a role which will give them a significant boost to operating revenue? It’s probably because no “big steps” have been made. So much consulting/feasibility studying going on. Yes, the training ground has been updated but that is the current training ground and not a new one. Playing Devil’s Advocate there was nothing stopping PIF committing a few billion to a stadium in the opening six months (site permitting). That’s a real statement of intent. It would be interesting to see a new Swiss Ramble report from October 2021-date similar to the infrastructure figures we saw at the time on Ashley.

Probably because until I'm shown otherwise they have very little intention of spending the money some expect them to. Talk of a new ground is pie in the sky. Outside PR stunts and cheap tweaks (changing the font on the East Stand and tarting up the concourses), there's been very little spent on SJP. Still got the shite one screen on the Leazes wall. Absolutely zero about a training ground as well. We're coming up to three years since they took over and they've announced nothing as far as significant spend on infrastructure goes.
