Yep, I've been saying that for quite some time. He had some poor luck, bad form, and knackered fitness that all seemed to contribute to this. I still maintain that had he scored a few of those before the slump really kicked in, we'd have probably have had a higher finishing place and/or Cisse wouldn't have scored the same amount, and we'd be playing the 4-3-3 we all loved last season and Ba wouldn't have kicked off about this over the summer. He basically took the easy excuse and blamed the formation, which on paper - sure. But anyone watching these matches could see it was more him than the formation itself.

Replace Jonas with Ba and I'd love that lineup. That to me would be Pards going for it.

I guess my gripe is that without Ben Arfa and Cabaye we have no creativity. We play 4 grafters in midfield and then complain about 0 chances created for our strikers.

Interesting parallel, Dave. Towards the end, we made the mistake of bending over backwards to please Shearer and paid a heavy price for it. If Ba is unhappy at the club, or he doesn't want to play where the manager thinks is best for the team, then he can take his miserable face somewhere else. One of those catch-22s. He's the best we've had since Big Al, and I don't want to him to leave. But if by the end of all of this, we couldn't pay to retain him; then I guess you blame our inability to pay the wages and you just hope that if he does leave, he goes far away from the Premier League as possible. I'd love to have an answer on how to pay him, keep him happy and also have Cisse here and have them both firing in goals in a fluid dynamic system that gets the best out of both of them and our squad which means wins and a higher position in the table, but we both (all) know the answer to that was that Ba couldn't buy himself a goal in that period last season. Had he scored 1 or 2 of those I don't think we'd be having this discussion if I'm honest.

I can't stress enough that he needs to play in Cabaye's ACM role if we ever decide to get back to 4-3-3. With Anita/Tiote behind him. I'd really be happy if he played in Hatem's wide right role for tonight's match in a 4-3-3 as well mind you. Crossing my fingers that our manager will attempt to try this. Here's to hoping.

Big match, hope all who are attending are in good enough spirits today to be in full voice. Will be watching from my office today! Lets have this today and get back on track.
-
Perhaps things have changed on his stance after our recent performances?
-
Common sense in me says we'll see a return to 4-3-3 with Demba left of Cisse in the middle and Hatem out right soon. I have no basis for this mind you, just my gut feeling.

Taylor just said Kandji perfectly having way too much fun out of this.

Kandji for Dynamo = my favorite player

Predictions for tonight's game? I fully believe LA takes the cup.

Max Bretos, the legendary man who somehow stayed employed by Fox Sports World/Fox Soccer channel for like 10+ years must have been on some cheap fucking salary, he was bloody awful man.
-
Chris Berman going "Back back back back back back back back back back back back back...." ESPN 4-7 are internal channels they use in the prisons beneath Bristol to punish revolutionaries. ESPN 4 = Deportes. So Spanish Sportscenter, naturally.
-
ESPN is class when it shows 1997 World's Strongest Man Competitions. Proper enjoy watching Magnus ver Magnussen move an airplane, throw a keg 300 ft in the air and bench press a luxury coach bus.
-
ESPN has sportscenter, ESPNews has their own sportscenter, ESPNU has a college sportscenter. ESPN Ocho would have obscure sports sportcenter, which would be class actually.

I was just reading about that before after seeing a mention on Twitter, awful. It's pretty horrific, he thanked his coach and general manager and shot himself in front of them apparently as well.

Between the final and college (american) football, theres loads of good sport on tonight.

This is a fantastic gesture by both Virgin Money & the Club.
-
Sadly he followed that up with saying he loved the Spurs on Twitter. But I still hold that to my heart. True, but I also think Ba seems to only have issue with the put on wide argument. He's always, always said fantastic things about the club, the supporters and looks like he genuinely has meant it.

I must say, even though its all just feel-good articles from the local papers - this lad's attitude about football and life are class.

I always felt our front 3 was so brilliant last season because it always seemed fluid - like those have said with the movement. Ben Arfa, while predominantly on the right was all over the attacking areas, as was Ba and Cisse.
