Yep. Not fit to be first choice. Criminal, absolutely criminal that we didn't get one more over the line in the summer. Just makes the summer that much more damning evidence of how the board has got it all wrong in terms of player recruitment and sales. Taylor is a good player but has proved himself to be nothing more than a squad rotation player, his injury record is utterly shit.

Our high pressure and closing-down was ridiculous. We absolutely bossed them the entire match, literally felt like we were taking the piss too.

Watched it again, its fucking hilarious man. It def is worse than I thought.

He should really just be on the pitch with complete freedom to play his game. Sure put him on the right of a front 3 or behind the two central strikers and just ask that he comes back to help out in defense when he can/we need it. But other than that, he'll quickly identify who who can take and what he can do and just dominate. Give him some observations when he can and give him a quick run-down at half-time on some things he could improve on or things he could take advantage on.

This pretty much sums up how I feel. Me too, superb post. True that Moyes didn't have Ben Arfa and Ba et al... but he also didn't have Williamson or Simpson et al. Cracking post that - really find myself agreeing with this.

Sums it up for me. Same feeling. Hanging my head in shame. So gutted right now.

We are fucking atrocious. The manager to the players, all of them. This is fucking ridiculous

We sorely need a bit of luck and that resolute defending towards the end of matches that helped us get so many points last season. How many points/Wins have we lost this season based on that? Top of my head, 4 points lost from 2 away matches in Liverpool & Sunderland.

This. Bring in a top attacking coach before January. In January sign depth and starting calibre players. Sissoko, Debuchy, CB, young pacy wide forward.

Your pessimism is fucking sickeningly true. I'm with you. And we just gave the bloke an 8 year deal. He's going to turn this around. He has to. We need him to. And the players won't let him down. Surely?

Getting knocked out would be a right kick in the gut. Last year's highs and reward and we go out like that. Oy.

Get it sorted Alan, come on man.

Yes. I went for Spurs (H) to start the season and it was fucking class.

Di Matteo, HAULED OFF

Wonder if he was this much of annoying little cunt in the dressing room, or did he reserve this for text messages and such as he needed to hide behind a device to shelve it out.

Was saying the same thing - why did he travel if he was hurt? We obviously did not allow Cisse to travel. But wasn't he all-set to play with jounalist David Crossman (sp?) on twitter saying that he had pulled up in the warm-up? If we were to go by those details - it would be the French National team's fault for allowing him to play even further and his own fault for testing it and then getting himself in further bother. Or am I looking at this wrong?
-
I wouldn't be surprised if he started looking himself if he came back and played for us here again.

If only it wasn't true Fucking hell, that is painfully true.

Shola is far from a crock of shit man. He's perfectly good at what he does when coming on at the end of a match as a striker. Do we need a 3rd choice striker to play more? Yes, is that man Xisco or Ranger? Who the fuck knows - based on past history, Ranger couldn't buy himself a goal when he was getting time a few years back, and we don't even need to go into what Xisco has contributed here.

He's done the part of playing him week-in/week-out. But he has not built around him and bought the proper right-back (Debuchy) to allow for Hatem to stay more forward or give him an overlapping 2-punch option. (Not Pards' fault mind you, if we take what has been said in the press/talk-ins about the Debuchy saga), and he has not given him a free-role. I think there are times Hatem takes that upon himself, or if Pards' actually has given Hatem the free-role, he's generally scored or provided the assist we needed - but it was either too late to the point we should have had him in that role all match.
