just wonder what’s his position? I hope not all of them are playing CM role
-
Someone said his style is he won’t drag on and simply move to other target
-
I will put it the other way round If we are able to move Pope, Burn, Trippier, Lewis, Targett, Wilson and Almiron, we can spend big on a new RW I agree.
-
We might as well just give Sanusi a chance. He deserves a run and worth to invest
-
Pretty sure if we sign Guehi for 60m, we won’t get another RW this window. Yea we might be able to spend 10-20m more but these figures won’t get you a starting RW who is better than Almiron. In that case we better just continue with Almiron for one more season
-
Come back next Jun. I think you are right but sanity is not welcomed at this moment, when most of the people just want a marque signing to improve the team in a short run This is a huge gamble, like it or not
-
Ah I finally remembered that geordie Robbie Elliott
-
I honestly don’t think it worths the price. 60m for a good CB, but not world class, is really expensive. Better than nothing of course. Just under the PSR limitation I hope we go for better options (if any)
-
He needs a huge lot of training to be effective for us. Control your expectation for this season. His vision is simply not good enough and he will make lots of bad decisions. He is really the one for the future.
-
believe it or don’t, transfermarkt just updated the fees from “?” to “23.6m euro”
-
Why would he become a free agent, and refused to extend his contract with his former club, in the first place? He is obviously asking for a salary that is only possible if it’s free transfer, which Bournemouth would not accept. They are professionals that always rank $ as their top priority, just like Yoro. You are talking sense, if it’s a normal transfer. This isn’t.
-
You all saying that anything above 5m for that Greek goalkeeper is ridiculous and no way it would be true. Now it turns out to be 20m. Better restrain yourself from these “ridiculous news” at this moment. To be brutally honest, I think the club is not functioning well since Ashworth stopped working in January. The 150k offer is likely to be true.
-
Yea I kinda agree, we are probably too late to sell Joelinton already. Should have done it last summer.
-
And that’s why Joelinton should be sold in January
-
33m is just a fucking standard price for a prospect like Minteh. I guarantee we cannot find such a prospect in other leagues like Minteh that could just cost 33m. WTF is untested? He was playing in champions league last season We better hope Minteh is a bust, or else this is going to be a fucking disaster
-
I genuinely think Howe prefers Almiron and Murphy to stay because they are willing to run like hell. Natural ability is not top priority. So unless we could find someone who has similar work rate with more gifted ability, very likely we will start Almiron for the coming season again.
-
You can set the buy back price at around 7-80m. It sounds silly but when the youngster become the second coming of Salah, you would glad that such a clause exist.
-
The mistake is we should have insert a buy back clause. No matter how high the fee is, we should do that. After the Salah and KDB sales, Chelsea never forgot to insert one. They have learnt their lesson. Probably now Minteh is our lesson.
-
Why not just a random young kid? It’s hard to put a value on them. This keeper however is fucking easy the whole transfer or PSR issue is handling very unprofessional I would say
-
If the big clubs are unable to spend $ due to PSR, the lower / poor clubs will be unable to raise funds by selling players. PSR in fact is doing the opposite. The tide is coming.
-
Because the manager could be wrong, could have bias, and could be dismissed after a bad run. Modern manager has to be able to bring out the best of the players provided to him, and the squad improvement responsibility is assigned to the sporting director. in other words, you can’t put all your eggs into one basket.
-
Even though I agree that Mitchell should have the final say on transfer, which is the system top clubs are running today, for this summer, I think the club should just stick to Howe’s plan and sign 1-2 key targets, so that Howe can carry out the best of his tactics for the next six months. Yes we still have five weeks. It also means we just have around 30 days left. The new arrival (if any) also takes time to fit in. I don't think Howe would be pleased by what’s going on.
-
There must be a plan which has Howe’s input, I have explained before. The problem is, now, it appears like, Mitchell comes in and disapprove it. The transfer plan starts from scratch again. Before we start to play the blame game, may be we should think in Howe’s perspective first. seriously if I am Howe, and if the club really fail to bring in a quality CB and RW as per my request (and as originally planned), I would be fucking furious at the end of August.
