  1. If fully fit, Howe will start Wilson and I think that's the correct decision. Same team from half-time if Bruno is out.
  2. They are easy to play through but don't concede a ton of goals. It kind of works. They play with 2 defence first fullbacks which balances some of the attackers who don't always defend with intensity
  3. I think Palace will look to win this which should play into our hands. I watch a lot of Palace. The team lacks a bit of intensity. Zaha and Edoaurd/Eze aren't workhorses in front of that 2 man midfield. You can get up on them if they attack. Could be a end-to-end game at some point.
  4. I have no affinity to Marsch or the USA. I've said it, they've underperformed points wise. 17 points from 18. How many points should Leeds get after 38 games? IMO 40-46. That's an underperformance for sure but not massively. When i've watched them, they've been competitive and a bit unlucky. The players look motivated to me. They don't look far from becoming a decent team. I don't think they're on for relegation and Marsch *might* be onto whatever it is they brought him in to do. Yes a team that has won trophies in the last decade should have higher expectations than Leeds United. That much would seem obvious. Conte's right too. In England upper management and other people hide behind the manager. No accountability. We had years of minimal soundbites from what's his name at Forest
  5. I don't think the results have been good enough either. But some of the flack is unwarranted. I think their performances have been better than the results this season. They are competitive. They don't look far from a midtable team.
  6. There’s weird anti-Americanism with Marsch imo.
  7. Scuffing penalty spots is too far. Throwing the ball away like Martinez is too far.
  8. Aye - he might become expendable if that happens - but it hasn't happened. Even then, that player replaces one of Willock, Longstaff or Joelinton. ASM would still be one of the first 2 attacking moves off the bench or dropped in because of injury. That's not an expendable player imo. We may well move him on in the summer for someone better suited. But as of now, he's crucial to us. He's likely to start on the weekend.
  9. Think he's great. But he's also well protected with Burn tucked in next to him. Defensively our weaknesses are Trippier and Burn 1v1 deep. Midfielders support them here. In transition we are general weak up against pace but usually have numbers to mitigate. But in particular Trippier pushes up and Schar is 1v1 with a lot of grass behind him. He has to deal with that by himself. Where as Botman usually has Burn in close proximity. He's rarely 1v1 near the centre circle the way Schar sometimes is. Burn's also a bit of a penalty conceded waiting to happen.
  10. We really aren't used to squad depth are we? The idea of your (at worst) 13th man being "expendable" is bottom-half thinking. All the worst when that player - at best - would be a top 4 best player in the team.
  11. Wouldn't sell without bringing in a replacement.
  12. Rashford looked injured the other day too tbf. But his looked muscular rather than ligaments.
  13. Aye seems to enjoy getting on the ball in deep positions and running at defences. At home against deep lines, I think that's a great role for him. Away from home, perhaps more likely to play uptop or as a wide forward. But doesn't look like a lone forward.
  14. Lucky to not have conceded a penalty AGAIN. It will cost us eventually.
  15. Not the last few years. Beforehand - maybe yeh. They bought Lukaku & Werner for a combined £150m. They've recouped £35m. Fortunate to get those wages off the books. They'll be letting a lot of players go for free just to get the wages out.
  16. Of course they will. Unless they agree to take massive paycuts - they won't be able to shift the Ziyech's & Pulisic of the world.
  17. They've got tremendous depth in a lot of positions. Some great players and a manager who is at least - good.
  18. Still think we need great luck with injuries and 1-2 quality signings to keep it up.
  19. If the spurs midfielders aren’t going to break lines with their passing. They need to at least make forward runs
  20. He’s handy at that Robben finish. Otherwise his overall game is not dissimilar to Miggy’s.
  21. Liked him in that free role. Linking up well with others. Getting the ball facing the goal a lot.
  22. Just coming back from a prolonged injury lay off tbf to the lad.
  23. Doesn’t look an 80m player at all. He’s more natural a RW than Sancho but Sancho is the more talented player. Antony is better off the ball too.
