No doubt there's a good deal to be had there.
-
I'd give them their money back for him.
-
I like Bailey. Also thought Guendouzi was a talent. Could run at least. Made the French world cup squad so can't be that bad.
-
I do think BDB is the weakest defensive link. But he has unique strengths too. I think Schar is the "easiest" to replace. Jordan Henderson was quick though. If Longstaff was exactly the same but half a yard faster like a prime Henderson, he'd be a great player imo. His standout attributes is stamina, something that becomes apparent over a long period of time. Bruno can play delightful balls and carry the ball. Joelinton is strong and quick on and off the ball. Willock has a lovely turn of pace. Shelvey can play a great long ball.
-
How many of these have you seen play in any depth? Declan Rice doesn't play that 8 position for West Ham but would be great at 6. Fofana is like an inferior Rice from what i've seen from him so far at Everton. Anguissa looked like he had loads of ability to me at Fulham and has been great whenever I've seen him play for Napoli. Looked technical, strong, tall, dribbled/carried the ball well **lazy stereotype comparison alert** - he was giving Dembele even Pogba vibes.. Not seen much of the rest.
-
Still hoping ASM can be that man. That would save us a lot of money. Although the pacy LF is probably the most stacked attacking position in the world. But it would be great if we can focus on another profile of attacking player.

England’s Dan Burn named Player of the Season 24/25

Delighted for him. Great spirit and performance. His heading placement is awful though. He always seems to time his leap slightly wrong so he doesn't connect the way he wants too. -
Would be fun playing as Chelsea on FIFA.

Agree with most of this. Especially the bolded. He's still not great in the air but it's rarely exposed. On the ground he's good dfensively. A real leader. Positionally he's been great. Part of a slow backline though. And I don't think he made a mistake for the second Vardy chance, he just couldn't keep up.
-
Aye the lack of pace throughout the backline is a noticeable weakness that needs to be addressed. I agree with the person that mentioned Pope sweeping mitigates it to a point. As does the high-press. But it's a legit weakness that needs addressing in the summer. A RCB AND LB with a bit of pace and height.... But for now. An athletic ball playing CM is ideal. A creative midfielder too. Young RB. Then a RCB and LB.
-
Thats my concern. Going forward, sure. But doing the runs Joe's do defensively? I just don't see it.
-
Both equally slow but Tielemans has significantly worse stamina / running power. Tielemans has ben turned and outrun so many times by central midfielders that it's become a running joke and arguably overplayed. But there is no way Tielemans could get through the running and cover the ground that Longstaff does. Not even close.
-
Can go a bit radge towards the end of the game. Think it's fatigue related. Otherwise brilliant. Bossed Tielemans. To the point that makes you consider if he would be useful for us (he would.. but still).
-
A much tidier footballer than he's given credit for. Always liked little Joe. He has physical gifts that when used properly are difficult to stop at any level of the game. I'd like to see him on the right at times. Whipped in a lovely cross.
-
Not sure I agree. He's a different profile of midfielder almost entirely. He doesn't have the work rate or stamina of SL. Certainly not for 90 minutes. The team is so good at the moment. In midfield, I would prefer a like-for-like replacement - just better/more quality. Someone who is a strong runner, presses all day.. but ideally faster and technically superior. That's a rare midfielder. You could lose a little physically if the technique/passing was up there like Bruno but again... a rare player.
-
Aye. You can tell just by his body positioning and body language. When the ball is played up to him he is kind of upright and focussed on the ball. When the ball is played up to Wilson, he's in this half squat body position with his bum right up the defenders body to keep the defender away from the ball. He's trying to back up the defender, it's a real wrestle before the ball is at Wilson's feet. Then you can see he's already thinking about trying to win a foul, hold it up etc. It doesn't always work - especially because of his size but he gives himself the best chance to succeed. Isak also seems a nice bloke who has a had a good/quality footballing upbringing. But not that rough side of the game. He is a skinny lad but I think it's more mentality and experience than a physical limitation.
-
I'm of the opposite opinion. Wilson is a seasoned CF, 30 years old, played through the footballing pyramid. He's much more experience and knack than Isak at being a CF. From the little i've seen of Isak - he needs to learn the dirty side of the game.
-
That hard working wide forward or LCM is perfect for him. I really like him and Willock but equally desperate for ASM to get in the side somewhere. ASM has that touch of quality on the ball.

Finally getting recognition for making it stick up top

Made Youri Tielemans look very average.

???? Vardy? Love him as a player. Not against us though obviously. I still want Saint Max on. -

Scxhar can't handle Vardy's pace and movement. He needs his RB to tuck in deep and narrow with him.
