  1. Dummet is so fucking journeyman. Whole team looks half hearted. Pile of crap but they do this so often we should be used to it.
  2. I can't be arsed to go and look through 500 pages of an old Pardew thread but I'm pretty sure it must have looked like this one in places. I can't even work out who's on the wind up and who is serious anymore. I'm going to assume most realise we are sticking to Rafa's system, we're just not doing it quite so well nor can we can adjust during games the way Rafa would/might have.
  3. At this stage of the season, having watched almost every game, I predict an 18th - 16th place finish. We're shit because Bruce is shit, we're even shitter because Ashley is shit, and we'll never be anything other than shit whilst Ashley is owner. Caveat: Unless Rafa is here, and then we're shit with a glimmer of hope.
  4. This time last season we had a -5 goal difference despite having less points, that is the platform Rafa gave us to ensure we stayed much higher in the table during the second half of the season when we started picking up more points. The problem is, and the majority of us already know it, is that thousands just read a tweet and don't ever delve any deeper. They then jump on the bandwagon, or create one, form a club and repeat ad nauseum. Why bother with what a few thousand idiots are repeating. Time will tell, Bruce will never, can never, exceed Rafa at anything. The reality is that Bruce is enabling the decay.
  5. https://thefishy.co.uk/formtable.php?table=1 They haven't lost in last 6 games, maybe they're due one. But can't see us getting anything, esp if we treat it like Villa game.
  6. Dummet needs taking out the back and shooting.
  7. 0-3, maybe worse. Might keep it to 1-2 if Schar and Lejeune start.
  8. Love Mourinho me, £230 quid profit from 2 games. Had +3.5 goal and Spurs win on this one.
  9. Rio Ferdinand on Olympiakos, "They've got two and could have had a couple more." Behind him the stats show 3 shots on target for Olympiakos. (made me laugh, but yeah, Spurs were sloppy quite often)
  10. You'd think they might remember how to do it from last season, but I don't recall Rafa had them pressing every opponent?
  11. That first half has just flown by, some great football on display.
  12. That was coming, could have been 3 if Willian shot straight and Emerson had a brain.
  13. Palace really gave Liverpool a game. Everton looking shit in terms of results. £310 profit today thanks to Mourinho. Chelsea in with a good chance here I think. To think Rafa tried to get Abrahams but know-it-all Ashley blocked it.
  14. Christ, that's too easy. I'd pretty much closed my account with a zero balance after Rafa left us. I only ever bet on Newcastle and Rafa was a bet always worth taking. I've just laid out £220 in a couple of minutes of enthusiasm and after I placed the bets I remembered how often West Ham win against their London rivals. FWIW I laid £200 quid on a Spurs win for a £350 return and £20 quid on a 1-3 or 1-4 win for Spurs at 8-1. Added a £30 quid double on Spurs and Newcastle wins. "Suicide Tuesday" marked in the diary.
  15. https://www.oddschecker.com/football/english/premier-league/top-4-finish Seems the top 4 are already sown up in the bookies eyes. Worth a flutter on 7/2 for Spurs, I'm really getting the feeling Mourinho is going to get results..
  16. Jose says "If we win a trophy it is not a consequence of ME, it is of the consequence of the club vision, the club plan for years" (paraphrasing again). That's us fucked then, as if we didn't know. The club plan is to stay afloat clinging to a bit of driftwood.
  17. Also @ around 26m a question asks what he intends to change, Jose answers very little, it's not that Poch has done wrong, it is to add to the base that has been here for 5 years, maybe a little plus. (paraphrasing) Again, contrast that with Bruce. Even though that is essentially what he has reverted to he complains about the past whenever it may serve as an excuse.
  18. Whole 40+m press conference on Youtube. Much more cheerful than the man who left Man Utd, this enforced break may have just reinvigorated him. I think he's going to do ok. Opened classily with a statement about how good Poch had been, contrast that with Bruce's constant whining about Rafa.
  19. Nothing bizzare about it, might be misdirected but its just a response to all the shit in tne media. There's even been a few posts in this thread suggesting maybe Bruce isn't that bad considering results. Which is more bizzare imo. It has been pointed out numerous times that whenever Bruce drifts from Rafa's system we lose, and lose badly. Anyone who watched his touchline performance during Leicester's dicking of us will know the guy hasn't got a clue how to change things dynamically. He may be giving good pep talks and lifting spirits here and there but that won't see us through a season despite having a few tidy players. I'm convinced this is 90% Rafa's legacy and Pardew Mk II is winging it.
