  1. Well drilled or not Rafa's team started defending from the front and the midfield role was perhaps most important in protecting the back line. Any more adventure to attack and you'll see the back increasingly over exposed. Re point two, in a 5 man midfield there's nothing to say Almiron or St. Max couldn't fill a berth, especially against more vulnerable teams. If Bruce can work any of that out. I suspect he won't have a clue what to do when suddenly the defenders apparently no longer know how to defend. It will all rest on the players.
  2. Any idea of his conversion to shot ratio, maybe he's always missed a few in amongst the screamers?
  3. Wonder who put this together for the club. Love the beat they used. Can tell this guy is going to be so much fun to watch. Ben Arfa was fun to watch, but Brucie hated him. I know Bruce has no say in transfers, perhaps he'll get no say in team selection too then we might see more of this guy.
  4. Like the guy after watching this. But highlight reels from games, oh dear, very erratic and crosses like missiles, unfortunately not guided ones. Young though, could definitely get better.
  5. Ask godzilla[/member]. Should be done any day now just loose ends to be tied up iirc Christ you're relentless. Remind me of a previous poster tbh. I have a fair idea the one you mean. It’s clearly him Aye, I called the previous incarnation relentless too.

  8. For those that didn't click the link a few pages back, snippet.. Sounds like a player, he should stay well away probably.
  9. Woah! WTF is this thread title? Steve Bruce? Surely there has to be some reference to seething displeasure? Steve ('kin hell!) Bruce or Steve (not Rafa) Bruce, howay man, we all know it will be getting changed back to something much worse sooner or later. Or are we clambering on board the 'away supporters train' and about to start singing his name?
  10. To best reflect the supporter's mood. Note to self: use quote if you're going to be a npw
  11. Fucking hell :crylaughing: Chronicle repeatedly reports Ashley model is to target under 26 with re-sale value. So Bruce is going to be fighting the system from day one then. Hero!
  12. In all fairness he is a bald cunt and his response about telling the guy "go back to your council house peasant" proves it I'd have lamped the baldy bastard for his arrogance alone Don't do yourself any favours do you.
  13. Just read Ashleys wiki page after wanting to check a detail. Anyone wants to subject themselves to the Newcastle United chapter?
  14. I'd be delighted if he turned us down, has to make more people wonder what the fuck is wrong up here. Might promote closer scrutiny than the usual tired and jaded soundbytes.
  15. Time to change title back to Relegationometer, (or whhatever it was). Current odds on BetFair 4/6 Sheff Utd EVS Norwich 9/5 Aston Villa 21/10 Burnley 21/10 Brighton 11/4 Newcastle 4/1 Bournemouth Seems too soon to lump on, but by league start we might be evens. 10/1 to finish bottom.
  16. Surely that was twitter bollocks?
  17. NUFC Flags, staging points on all the routes to the ground. Support the Team? Empowering Ashley and weakening NUFC!
  18. There was some stat article posted, about 30 pages back, that listed Perez stats as one of the top forwards in the league for interceptions and running the fuck all over the place, and, er, shit.. - in addition to his goals and assists. And breaking news, right now Leicester are a far more attractive proposition then Newcastle, all thanks to Uncle Mike's marvelous stewardship of a once great sporting institution. Anyone thinking Leicester have overpaid haven't got a fucking scoobies about football and likely just watch goal replays. (An aside, is it possible that losing both ship building and the coal industry combined with Thatcherism and the fractured family politics, has completely broken the North East's stomach for a fight? How did Glasgow and Liverpool band together so well when it appears we're a region of cucks now?)
  19. Hope someone tweets one of those links back to him. Edit: Maybe I should sign up to twitter to politely counter his tweets, but he'd just block me and his audience no longer sees them - correct?
  20. The problem is if a guy like that has so many followers you can't just force him out, or you run the risk of fracturing the movement. As with everything the solution is knowledge, facts. Drip, drip the truth. So whenever the opportunity presents itself, someone who speaks well and knows the facts, orates. (ie: Ashley has never put his own money into the club, ever). Once his followers are more knowledgable about facts it is easier to marginalise him. Snag is people who are ignorant tend to be that way because their heads spin when presented with too many facts, rhetoric wins out every time as its the simpler option. Wraith, and those like him, know this; instinctively if not intellectually.
  21. He's off to China, the guy that did the interview with him has said it. The guy, you mean Caulkin? Yes. Ok, so the article where there is not one quote from Rafa saying he is going to China, just Caulkins sub-heading. Well fuck me! Gutted! Hope you come back as hungry to win as you ever were Rafa. Edit: And a NPW to boot.
