QPR vs Newcastle Utd - 12/05/13 @ 3pm (No TV) - a win confirms safety

Yep, also why the fuck couldn't Villa wallop Norwich 6:1 instead of Sunderland. The Mackems were the one side down there with a goal difference too good to dent. -

Norwich are very much in it too. Even so can't see them going. We're in freefall. If we're in free fall what are Norwich then? -
Possibly, but probably not.

The most in form team in the league won by one clear goal. Could easily have won by more if they'd put even a small amount of effort in though. -
Replays I've seen say otherwise, but it is close.

Also while checking on that I noticed that QPR actually have less goals at home this year than we have away from home, which is some achievement. We've got a very poor 5 goals in 8 away games. QPR have a shocking 4 goals in 8 at home (looks like its soon to be 4 in 9). -

Might look that way on paper but the stats say otherwise. Do they? You've got to go back to February for the last time one of our midfielders scored from open play. 12 goals for QPR this year (as in since they signed all the players listed in that team). We've only got 18 in the same number of games, but it still doesn't suggest they have far more goals in them. I mean you could go through it player by player and count up the totals if you want to be picky I suppose. EDIT, actually its 13 goals. -

Watch and hope for lots of QPR injuries/sending offs. -
You forgot the lineman as well, piss off to all three.

I thought Pardew defenders were all extinct by now. Anyway its not only about team selection, it's also what he's asking them to do out there.

Looking like it Would have much preferred if they said f*** all tbh. just just have to think about how they would have reacted had it been bullshit- They would have all had a laugh about it together in the training ground and moved on, but no.......... Don't see any reason to believe they'd definitely react the way you think.

We have a good enough squad to challenge for Europa League. No doubt. So where are the goals going to come from for that? One injury to Cisse and we are a team with the weakest striking line-up in the league. Liverpool have been challenging for it all year with one recognised striker, you put far too much emphasis on it. The problem is how little players we have in the box when we go forward. They scored 6 without him on Saturday. Not seeing how that backs up your argument like but whatever.

A collective instinct all working together without any orginisation, training or tactics, yeah ok.

Wigan have been in this position for the last 4 seasons, did it matter to them then that they were behind teams? Actually they've never been behind on points before at this stage of the season. Every other time they've been in a relegation battle they've been either level on points with 17th or ahead of them by the time they hit 34 games. So they've left it later to overtake teams this year, it's still a situation they're used to and you'd have to have nerves of steel to dismiss the possibility. Or they aren't overtaking teams this year. I'm not dismissing the possibility, just saying this isn't just like any other year for Wigan.
-
I meant in a relegation battle, not 5 points behind the team who were 4th bottom with them having 4 games to play. I know you didn't mean the exact situation down to the number of points. I was just pointing out that usually by now they've climbed out of the relegation zone. So it's not as if this is exactly the same as it is every year for Wigan.
-
Jesus what a fucking cesspool of an article that is, utterly pathetic in basically every way (including missing fucking words in the first sentence, thick fucking twats).

Villa haven't won by more than 2 goals this season. But they win 6:1, exactly enough goals to give them a better goal difference than us. Are we being fucking punked? Anyone saying this doesn't change anything, you're a fucking knacker. Appart from the obvious, Villa now being above us, Wigan and Villa both play last game. Keeping them both below us until then was incredibly important.
-
Fucking maniac man, you'd risk our relegation for something as meaningless as 3 points for Sunderland. That's the kind of thinking I expect from the mackems not us.
-
Sunderland win, absolutely no question. Villa and Wigan both play last game, keeping both below us is absolutely massive. For that reason the mackems will collapse and lose 3:0.
-
Don't do it. Probably wise. I like to watch football regardless but there isn't really an outcome in that game that suits me. I'd pay good money right now to see Sunderland beat Villa, fucking hell its important to us, forget them lot they don't matter.
