Arsenal v Newcastle United - 29/12/12 @ 5.30pm (Live on ESPN)

I'd be very comfortable with Perch at right back, major exaggeration to call him a massive risk anywhere but defensive midfield. -
Yeah a second yellow was the minimum he should have gotten and it could easily have been a straight red, to get nothing at all was a joke.
-
No f***ing way imo! Oh I have little doubt he won't do it. Its just my opinion, to me the game is so important that if we're looking like losing I'd actually consider risking him later in the game. Ben Arfa fit over the rest of the season will win us more than 3 points with his individual brilliance. Obviously yes and if playing him for 20-30 mins is very likely to keep him out much longer I wouldn't even consider it (do we know that's the situation?) What I do believe is pretty close to a guarantee though is that if we lose to QPR we'll end 2012/start 2013 in the bottom 3.

No fucking way imo! I have little doubt he won't do it. Its just my opinion, to me the game is so important that if we're looking like losing I'd actually consider risking him later in the game. But obviously it does depend on how bad things are. I'm going on the basis that he's ok to play but there's a small chance of him breaking down.
-
If I was Pardew I'd have Ben Arfa on the bench for QPR. Assuming he can play but is just being rested as a precaution. If we're ok he doesn't have to come on, but if we're in trouble we might just have to risk him. The game is incredibly important, we absolutely have to win.

If anyone really see's this as the same as the relegation season they're fucking mental.

A crap side who havent lost at home in 14 games. We certainly shouldnt have lost after being 1:0 up. But lets not get stupid with this idea that Stoke are easily beatable at home. As far as Sammy goes he can be a useful player IMO. Though I do agree that it made little sense to bring him on in that scenario.
-
There would be if they were played in the formation we played today though.
-
Sadly thats still and improvement from the last two games, even trying to pass on the ground and getting some of them right vs every touch being up in the air. Just glad I'm off for the next 6 days so I can drink myself into oblivion. Think I'll start now, I'm off.

Actually we are playing as bad as we did when we went down. And thats worrying. Over the last few games, especially West Ham and Southampton I'd agree, nowt to do with my post though. Stoke play worse Football than us when we got relegated, its just far more effective. Again I'm not complaining, just disagreeing with the assertion that they play better Football in general.

I realise people are p*ssed off, but lets not get silly. We certainly didn't play good Football, but Stoke spent the entire second half launching the ball aimlessly into the area at every single opportunity, even from throws. Our shocking defending rewarded them for it though It was us who were hoofing the ball at every given oppertunity. to our luck, Cisse and Ba got 2 of our 3 good chances from a hoofball. I'ts just so frustrating to watch 90 min. of anti football and lose every week. When we lost to swansea, I wasn't as frustrated, because, at least we tried to play a passing game. That loss wasn't as hard to take, because the performance wasn't as shit. I'm not going to repeat myself, all I'll say is you must be completely ignoring the other team when you watch our games and only focusing your eyes when we get a decent chance.

I realise people are pissed off, but lets not get silly. Stoke spent the entire second half launching the ball aimlessly into the area at every single opportunity, even from throws. Ermmm... Did I say we didn't hit any aimless balls?, we did, just less than Stoke. Even their throws were all launched into the area. That's how Stoke play though, it's what they are good at. It's why everyone hates playing against them, as long as you're just one goal ahead it doesn't matter how well you play or how well you contain them, they are always just a launch away from an equaliser. I know, I only disagreed with someone who said that we play worse Football than Stoke at the moment.

Cisse and Ba were more or less through on goal, not totally clear but they were both most definitely chances.

Could have easily been 2:0 up before they equalised, possibly even 3:0. The likes of Williamson puts far too much pressure on us with his utterly shit Championship level (being generous) Footballing abilities. Coloccini was at fault for one of the worst cases of ball watching I've seen in quite some time mind, but at least that's not his normal game. Incredibly, despite the shocking lapses in defence it was still an improved performance, which is the only plus point from tonight.
-
No no, we're still hoofing it loads, you're just fooling yourself don't you know..
-
We're still hoofing it a lot, let's not fool ourselves. We're playing long balls to running players, far different from panicking and kicking long aimlessly every time you get the ball, which is what we did against both West Ham and Southampton. If you can't see a huge difference between this game and those two as far as passing goes then.. well I don't really know what to tell you.
-
Hardly a particularly good performance, but much better than West Ham or Southampton so far. Far less long balls, even Krul is trying to pass it out. Though it is fucking annoying that we basically spent over 180 minutes against West Ham and Southampton hoofing the ball long when we actually had creative players. Now that we don't and we're playing against Hoof FC we suddenly realise the ball can move over grass.

We don't have the players to make 442 work either, last week was another excruciating example of that. I'd prefer to try to play to a formation our strikers have played well in (433) than stay with a formation where we consistently play some of the worst and least effective Football since Allardyce. -

Against Southampton we seemed to try to pass it for the first 5 or so minutes, but as soon as someone hit the first long ball it was like follow the fucking leader. -

Don't expect anything from the game and in fact I expect a truly horrible 90 minutes, I still wouldn't even think about missing it though -
He seems to do absolutely everything wrong at the moment, but no I can't agree with sacking him yet.

In the Bolivian league I'd attempt it Incidentally I remember when Robert did something similar.
