Basically only means that a club can't come in and start negotiating with Chelsea and the first we hear about it is well into discussions. They have to give us the chance right from the start to give them a offer they can accept before any other club gets involved in discussions. For a normal club that actually competes its useful as you can't get blind sighted and get in late when the player might have already decided to go somewhere else. But for us I really can't see how its even relevant, it would only work in situations where we can cast some sort of voodoo on the lad to make him only want to sign for us, otherwise we'll just get outbid anyway.

Why does that complicate anything? If they're willing to sell him now for £30m (inevitably paid over 5-6 years anyway) then what's the difference between that and us paying £5m loan fee now with option to buy at £25m at the end of the season?
  3. I think usually its just a case of the amount being specified, with agreement on how its paid having to be made between the clubs (unless full amount is offered of course). But I suppose anything can be put in a contract, would seem unreasonable to allow him to specify how the club is paid his release fee though.
  4. We can definitely demand all the cash up front or no deal.
  5. Who have Wolves actually signed?
  6. How good do you think Ritchie is that a player can be a waste of space by comparison but still have done well for us? Anyway, no I wouldn't bother selling a useful squad player for £7-£8m, what's the point? EDIT: Ah ok, you mean Ritchie did well for us. He was excellent in the Championship, but needs upgrading in this league. Also apparently he isn't happy to just be a squad player, so if we can sell for £17-£18m and upgrade for £20m or so I'd do it. Keep the likes of Atsu as a willing squad player.
  7. Hope we've at least demanded all the cash up front, no reason why we wouldn't I suppose.

Jesus - 80 big ones a week! Stoke will have to go up next season! We paid Shelvy that so that is their gamble We were a Premier League team then! Also Stokes revenue outside of TV money is about half ours so the drop in Premier League money is going to hit them far harder.

Its not about one man who can create something though, that's why we've failed in the past, individuals that can create but can't work together. The problem in this match wasn't lack of creativity. In recent matches we've played good Football, passed the opposition to death, waited for our moment and then played decisive passes that have lead to lots of chances and goals. Even today we played better Football then I can remember us playing in any of our past knockout games Colombia tried to stop us by dragging us into the dirt and making us rush things, not sure I've ever seen a more dirty cheating bunch of cunts to be honest... But luckily we managed to show enough strength of character to win on pens for once Thing is normally we'd be talking about how Colombia should have had a player sent off, shouldn't have been able to bully the ref blah blah blah. But instead none of that matters, instead we can talk about the quarter finals and forget about Colombia.. You might say its fine margins, but it often is, and the fact is we're in the quarter finals
  11. To be fair if your mind set as a Footballer is to put a low release clause in every contract. So you can make a easy escape if things don't work out, then you've got the wrong mentality to succeed. At the end of the day I trust the manager.
  12. . Nah you do like. Apparently it's a red now just to put your hand into a players face, or push your head into another players head. But running up and hitting someone in the face with your forearm isn't even a yellow in your opinion? The f***er seems to be fooling some people because he does it so casually, he's a good actor like, but the fact is he still runs up and puts his forearm into his face. You can even see the Iranians cheeks shake with the impact.
  13. It's ok the just run up to someone and whack your forearm into his face aye?
  14. It was around £9m total as far as I remember.
  15. That chance Sweden had just before the goal, just had to cross it instead of shooting.
  16. Some of them in the ITV studio arguing that wasn't a pen Keane "he just did enough to affect the forward".. Aye Roy, by thrusting his hand as hard as he could into his back.
  17. He trips his left leg up too It wasn't shoulder to shoulder, he just pushed him over.
  18. How does that make VAR shite? The ref is shite, VAR is just a source the ref can use to help make his decisions. Most seem to have made use of it and its made a difference. Other refs haven't, those shite refs dont change the fact that its been useful when used correctly.
  19. Aye, I mean its debatable whether its a pen or not, but then its the ref who has to make that decision and in his opinion its a pen, fine. Its not like it was some outlandish decision that can't possibly be a pen. I don't get the whole issue people on the BBC commentary or in the studio have about how its not 100% clear because people are disagreeing, therefore VAR hasn't helped or needs to improve ect. Did they think that the ref being able to be sure of his decision before making it meant everyone in the world would suddenly see it the same way and agree People have different opinions ffs, nothing will ever change that.

Any article that uses that £62.5m loss number from the previous accounts as some kind of true baseline is a article not worth reading, we all know the real loss was massively lower than that, something like a £20m loss in real terms wasn't it? This year our revenue will have increased by around £80m. So to suggest there should be no money available is before sales is nonsense.

There's much more to it than that, you have have be pretty oblivious to not see that tbh. I'm sick and f***ing tired of every year having to sell players because Ashley is a c***. I'm beyond frustrated with it all, i no longer want to invest energy into something which is run by a man who actively wants to self destruct everything around him. I felt this way before Rafa but i wanted to believe but honestly it doesn't matter, Rafa is meaningless while this man is the owner it doesn't even matter. If you can do that then more power to you but i'd rather invest energy into something which i can actually enjoy, there's no enjoyment as long as Ashley is around and it took me till now to realise that Rafa doesn't change that. What on earth does any of that have to do with us suddenly being favourites for relegation?? That's what I disagreed with, you'd think by your response that I called it a great bit of business or something...
