Newcastle United lose Judicial Review against HMRC
Teasy replied to ChrisMcQuillan's topic in Football
About £300m on transfers in since Ashley arrived, probably at least as much coming back from outgoing transfers so total is likely well over £500m. Obviously But there's no chance that every one of out transfers in and out are being investigated like -
Which official outlet has said she's in talks to buy us ? Seemed suspicous that NDA's had apparently been signed but not with her. The Times amongst others have said that she’s held informal talks with us. This thread is full of such information from multiple respectable sources. Informal talks has become preliminary talks ? ands when I asked about official I meant the club or her . Preliminary/informal, whichever, not much point in holding any talks with us if she's serious about buying Liverpool. I mean its two very different levels of investment.

Gets worse every time I see it.

Well when you put it like that.. no, still a rip off. Half of Everton went for £200m last year; maybe the £400m in itself isn't that bad an asking price. But surely any potential buyer would run as soon as they see the loan he'd instantly want paid back on top of it. And I wouldn't be surprised if he tries to add bullshit sponsorship and merchandise clauses that benefit no one but Sports Direct as a parting shot. Insufferable cunt. Everton had a £80m external debt so the £200m for half doesn't tell the full story. Nobody is going to buy NUFC and accept keeping on a £100m+ loan owed to Ashley so IF the £380m is true it would have to include Ashley's debt and mean they'd have the club debt free (we have no external debt to my knowledge (?)).

I think he does offer as much in build up play. Though, at least at this early stage, Joselu looks to have a better instinct for getting into goal scoring positions. Still think Mitrovic can be a good option though.
-
Troll. Aye, reckons Gayle would have finished those chances. Except he wouldn't have gotten those chances, because we'd have played shite with him up front by himself.
-
He's played ok overall so far and contributed a lot in our two wins. No he's not a natural in the number 10 spot, but at his worst he doesn't hide and doesn't go for the easy option just to cover his back (probably why he often gets the blame when we play poorly). Also puts plenty of effort in IMO. Gayles a predatory kind of striker, but offers very little to the team, so I think he'd be absolutely shocking in the number 10 role.
-
How anonymous was Wijnaldum today then? Tough game so no doubt he didn't leave the changing rooms.
-
Eight domestic wasn't it? Still not too dissimilar (though mostly cups, only won the top division twice), just saying.
-
Supporting this club?, aye we do. Supporting Ben Arfa?, never!
-
What has he said? ^^ He's a big fan of Newcastle apparently (yeah ok dickhead). But we're only a big club in the north east and he knows Mike Ashley and so knows he wouldn't say one thing to Benitez about funds and do another. Benitez shouldn't be talking in the media at all because its not helpful. He should keep all discussions inside the club and be quiet out of loyalty to his employer. He should have been cleverer at setting up shrewd deals like Clement has (oh and you mean like setting up a loan deal for a striker months ago that we pissed about over, as if we'd pay a £4m loan fee like Swansea have). Oh and if Benitez gets a chance to leave then we'll really see how much he wants to be at Newcastle (he says with a grin as slimy as a snails arse).
-
"I don't see why Mike would say he would have a conversation with Rafa if he wasn't going to do it" Doesn't have previous for lying does he you slime ball Apparently Benitez should be quiet as well no matter how shit the fat cunt is treating him and the club out of loyalty to the owner.. straight out of the disgusting slimey Alan Pardew book of management. Fucking repellent this Jordan bloke like.
-
I knew Simon Jordan was a plastic gobshite prick but fuck me he's outdoing himself on SSN at the minute. What an slimey fucking creep.
-
If Matt Targett is there number one target on transfer deadline day this lot should just kill themselves.
-
Not allowed to answer a question seriously about finances or you're championing the balance sheet, fuck off ffs
-
nah? think we are fairly low spenders on wages iirc It was £74m when last reported, its all relative of course and that's no doubt low compared to the top Premier League teams. But at the time of reporting it was above mid table as far as Premier League wage bills go. We don't know for sure where it stands right now, but obviously its still going to be much higher than the other two sides that came up and in comparison to sides like Bournmouth (reported at £33m at the same time) and Watford (£41m at the same time).
-
It won't be low like.
-
Benitez won't sell without a replacement. Until I see evidence that we're willing to sell players out from under Benitez this is bullshit IMO.
-
Yep - for me this is one of the worst windows as we've a world class manager and yet we are just flushing this opportunity down the toilet. Flushing what opportunity down the toilet? The only opportunity here is for the club to spend even less on the squad BECAUSE we've got a world class manager. Everything's going exactly as we all thought it would. Gayle will be gone, we'll get someone in on loan to 'cover'. Welcome to supporting Newcastle Direct. That's a choice, we have plenty of opportunities, unfortunately the club is owned by a fucking moron, so he chooses to piss every good opportunity down the drain.
-
This is all coming from a guy who thinks he's played two premier league games To be fair those appearances come to a total of 30 full games in minutes on the pitch, and he scored 15 goals in those games, which is a excellent record. So he can certainly score in this league when given time on the pitch in the right setup. I just don't think he gives enough to the team to be our main striker.
-
I've never thought Gayle, in the system we play, would work in this league. Nowt do to with the first two games. I'm not even sure it would work in any system with the players we have at our disposal. So if Benitez wants to sell him and bring in someone better suited no problem. But obviously it has to be his decision.
-
Didn't they pay 10m Euro's for him, and since then he's been proper shite for them? EDIT: Oh so they will sell but the manager wants a replacement first.
-
So if he plays in the Championship again it would be ok?
-
He barely fucking moves his arm, hardly a brutal attack like is it? Not to mention its dealt with by the ref, FA making up the rules as they go along yet again.
-
Its Perez fault? Perez managed to link up fine with Joselu on Saturday. Gayle moves plenty, its just not very intelligent movement outside of a good instinct for getting in behind a defence (shame we rarely have the ability to play him in).
