  1. What was Lippi doing between 1998 and 2001 (appart from Coppa Italia runner up)? Exactly the same size gap in his C.V as the one you mention for Capello. Finishing second in Serie A twice in three seasons with Roma is what he was doing... Yeah what a flop eh?

    F*ck off to you all

So in other words CoachHTT everything good that happened against Arsenal came as a response to the critisism from the media, and more importantly the fans
  3. Our trophy history is average at best yes and it could certainly be argued that our current team is average (below average at the moment with Sam in charge) but the club itself certainly isn't. Our fan base gives the club a big advantage (if its harnessed of course), something most teams in the Premiership could only dream of. Which teams did both play in there first 15 games? Because we've mostly played complete shit so far.
  4. We aren't though are we? My memory is s*** but bloody hell some people seem to have a game by game memory which wipes anything they have seen before Yes we are, ok not much much shitter, but we are shitter IMO If my memory was game by game I'd be a lot happier right now, since we weren't anywhere near as s*** as we have been again Blackburn (even though we still got beaten). I'm sure that's just a blip though..
  5. I don't know what's more wildly optimistic, that we'll beat Arsenal, or that Allardyce would play that lineup. Its much more likley he'll play something like this: Given Beye - Taylor - Rozehnal - Enrique Geremi - Butt - Barton - Emre - Milner Martins Resulting in the inevitable large loss..
  6. We're much much shitter now then we were before he took over though! I hardly think he should need a magic wand simply to not make the team worse then it already was.. Outside of that I agree he should stay on for now, unless the chairman thinks the right man to take over is available now.
  7. The only way there will be any u-turn from fans is if Sam himself makes a u-turn and gets some sense, along with some balls. I really hope that happens, though it seems extremely unlikely.
  8. yes because our Managers not a tactical genius we lost to Derby, no blame can be put on the players. He played: Harper Taylor - Cacapa - Rozehnal - N'Zogbia Smith - Geremi - Butt Ameobi Milner Owen Then to top it off he told them to go for the draw!! After we went 1:0 down and looked completely and utterly hopeless against the worst side in the league he tried to fix things by bringing off Owen for Martins (still one up front). When that genius move failed to bring us a goal he followed it up by bringing off Geremi for Faye! On 75 minutes, with us looking as hopeless as ever and heading aimlessly to defeat he made his final killer move on 75 minutes, he brought on Beye for Taylor at right back. Yeah lets blame the players Owen went off injured. Ok so instead of trying to fix something he actually thought everything was fine, just as bad if not worse. With two substitutions he could have changed to: Harper Beye - Cacapa - Rozehnal - Taylor Milner - Geremi - Butt N'Zogbia Smith Martins
  9. yes because our Managers not a tactical genius we lost to Derby, no blame can be put on the players. He played: Harper Taylor - Cacapa - Rozehnal - N'Zogbia (three cente backs and a left winger) Smith - Geremi - Butt (a striker and two defensive midfielders) Ameobi Milner (a "striker" and a right winger) Owen (a small striker on his own up front to have high balls smashed at him all game). Then to top it off he told them to go for the draw!! After we went 1:0 down and looked completely and utterly hopeless against the worst side in the league he tried to fix things by bringing off Owen for Martins (still one small striker up front). When that genius move failed to bring us a goal he followed it up by bringing off Geremi for Faye! On 75 minutes, with us looking as hopeless as ever and heading aimlessly to defeat he made his final killer move, he brought on Beye for Taylor at right back. Yeah lets not blame Allardyce..
  10. Exactly, people need to remember who we are and how awful we have been for the last 3 years, 5 games ago everyone was over the moon after our best start for years You've been listening to the media far too much, only the blind or moronic were over the moon about that. My opinion was that we'd had a very easy start to the season and despite being 5th or 6th the team didn't look good at all and the manager looked clueless. It was reminiscent of when Roeder first took over actually. A lot of people were blinded by the fact that'd we were winning games. But people who actually watched the games and had any sense all said the same thing, that we'd done well despite his management, not because of it, and that he should not be made permanent manager.
  11. Who's using his past against him? Its his present activities that are the problem. His past would be irrelivant if he hadn't shown already that he's stuck there..
  12. If he's the one the chairman and owner really want then I wouldn't lose any sleep that's for sure. Good thing Shearer has plenty of managerial experiene and a proven track record eh? No good thing he would actually be the chairman/owners own choice. Also good that he wouldn't be a vastly overatted manager who can only have his sides play one way and refuses to learn from his mistakes no matter how many times he makes them.
  13. If he's the one the chairman and owner really want then I wouldn't lose any sleep that's for sure.
  14. I'm sure given enough time he can buy the players to turn us into Bolton.. can't wait. If the right replacement isn't avaialable then keep him for now. But if Mort/Ashley have the man they want lined up I hope they sack him now and get that manager in.
  15. People don't want Allardyce out due to a bad spell though (or not the ones with any sense anyway). The bloke has been shit from the start with his formations, team selections and decision making. People are sick of the insipid performances and ludicrous decisions, the terrible results are just the nail in his coffin.
  16. Yes you got me Gejon, I really want Jimmy Nail as our manager...
  17. I'm sure Jimmy would do better then Allardyce has lately yes.. But given he has no Footnall experience and Shearer has been in Football at the highest level for the last 15 years or so I'd say he'd just about edge out Jimmy Nail there don't you think.
  18. Wouldn't mind that, tbh. Yep lets bring Shearer in, he is bound to be a top class manager You don't need to be a top class manager to do a hell of a lot better then the Fat man has done so far. Also how do you know he wouldn't be a top class manager? He has a lot of the attributes a good manager needs. At the very least he's got balls, which are something the likes of Allardyce sadly lack.
  19. With a record of LLDLL in our last 5 games and Arsenal sure to add another L then yes we are in the s***. Just because we haven't finished sinking yet doesn't mean we aren't a sinking ship. We can afford to give him a little bit longer, but on the other hand if Mort/Ashley have the man they wanted all along lined up to come in then they should sack Sam and be done with it. If they don't have a real replacement then fair enough, I'd agree they should wait another few games. But if we don't get more then two wins from our next 5 games Allardyce has to go.
  20. Shearer as manager with Beresford as assistant
  21. Was that first sentence supposed to be a description of the post to follow thomas? If we were playing well and losing games people would be thinking we're just on an unlucky run and that things will turn around. Instead we're playing hopeless passionless football with no sign of any improvement (the opposite in fact). If you seriously believe that any fan would consider that preferable to playing well but losing then you need help.
  22. You don't know that so why make assumptions? There is currently no evidence whatsoever to suggest he can turn things around. Comparing Allardyce to the likes of Moyes and Hughes is stupid as their expectations when they got appointed were not half as high as ours were this season. Are you saying that Everton aren't an ambitious and expecting club? Sorry, that's absolute bollocks. In the 10 seasons before Moyes took over Everton had finished 13th, 17th, 15th, 6th, 15th, 17th, 14th, 13th, 16th, 15th.. Yeah I see what you mean, those are some heady standards Moyes had to live up to there, I'm sure the expectations were massive!
  23. There would be nothing fickle about backing a manager who had finally come to his senses and starting at least getting the basics of Football right. Because that's the only way he'd have a chance of winning the next four games. He's not likely to win any of the next four by picking the wrong players and playing them out of position in an unbalanced formation.. Which is why people are actually sick of the sight of the man already, rather then this stupid myth that its all just down to results and a win or two will have people singing his name....
