What's his situation exactly? Has he been made available at that price or is that just a guess?
-
They're building a serious challenge by being linked with loads of players in the News of the World?
-
As I said, a lot of what they've spent has become debt (£30 million in debt by the 2006/7 season from 0 debt a couple of years prior), the rest has come from there much improved turnover due to finishing 5th twice and playing European Football (plus the new sponsorship).
-
Thet've done very well over the last few seasons which has pushed there revenue up. Plus they've started piling a decent amount of debt onto the club (they were debt free a year or so ago apparently). Then again this transfer is just a rumour, really we're dealing in who's rumoured transfers are more expensive here
-
If they pay £15 million for Ashton they've well and truly lost it IMO..
-
Ok I'll rephrase that, poor players for the money (very poor in some cases). I'd definitely add Solano to that at £2.7 million as well.
-
One very good signing doesn't make up for 5 or 6 bad ones.. If a club keeps going with that kind of record they'd be ruined. But never mind, Spurs are the best run club in the world after all according to some on here. Despite wasting s*** loads of money on poor players.
-
Actually I think I might have spelled it wrong as well.. so I wouldn't say I'm much of a fan (I liked one of the movies though).

snake priskin ? Snake Pliskin..

TBH, if any player in the summer is left with the choice between us and them I would be shocked if they chose us. If they did they would only be motivated by money and that's hardly the type of player we need. You've got to be taking the piss..
-
All good on FM. You didnt highlight Kompany, probably the best out of the lot of them in FM (Van Der Vaart always plays s****). Van Der Vaart was probably the best player I've ever signed in Football Manager, over 30 goals and 30 assists every season, won me the league almost by himself
-
Lets ask Martin Jol from this forum if he can ask the real Martin Jol to sell us Van Der Vaart!
-
Bet he is, you know. Him and *he who shall not be named*. Lord Voldermort?!.. When the fuck did we sign him???
-
Pennant is only about a year younger really, also am I the only one who's never been the slightest bit impressed with him? Phillips has skill and pace and is the sort of player who can demolish a team by himself. Pennant isn't in the same class IMO.

Riise is shit as anything more then backup, which he won't be happy with.

http://www.newcastle-online.com/nufcforum/index.php?action=post;topic=52644.0;num_replies=6 A "top source" that doesn't even know basic facts about the club
-
Which they shouldn't be.. They constantly talk shit and contradict themselves week after week.
-
Does Ashley record all his conversations and send them to the press? Absolutely amazing how these f****** idiots can get away with spouting whatever s*** they feel like while claiming it to be fact "Ashley thinks this", "Keegan was told do this or else".. complete and utter bollocks the lot of it!
-
We can and we did .......for Modric offered a bigger fee to his club apparantly over two instalments rather than Spurs three installments also offered better wages chose Spurs for European competition and being based in London. Woodgate more or less the same been done to death on numerous threads We offered a larger basic fee, but the Spuds offered more overall when you include the fee and extra's. We did offer a better salary package, no idea how much better though.
-
Because Football finances constantly move on.. clubs all make more money now then they would of even a couple of years ago. You only have to compare past revenue's from our own club to see that. You just can't compare past revenue's with current revenue's. If we had a reasonably successful season in the current financial climate (for instance 5 or 6th and Europe) I have little doubt we'd set a new club record for revenue.

He's a billionaire you nutter His personal fortune was over £2 billion before he took over.. Ironic.... But seriously... Keegan is the new board's appiontment... one could expect them to back him up with some money.... they didn't back Big Sam up that much.. so he might as well give Keegan his war chest... or is Keegan just a temporary solution... that is.. was it just an emotional appointment to make sure season ticket holders buy tickets for next season + in general just boost the income? What's your point man? Who says he isn't being backed? He's been backed to the tune of £18 million for one player so far, its not Mort or Ashley's fault if Modric fell for the Spuds hype..

Find a new theory people:

He's a billionaire you nutter His personal fortune was over £2 billion before he took over..

Exactly, if only everyone would realise this there would be no mountain being made out of a mole hill. Though I'm sure the press would still be doing there best to build everest out of it..
