  1. I think there's a chance we'll only just beat 40 points, enough to finish 4th or 5th bottom. For that reason I say sack the fatty as soon as possible (as soon as a replacement is found).
  2. What was the game plan today? Make sure Wigan can't possibly score in the first half by booting anything we get 60-80 yards up field. Then come out second half and actually try to win the game?
  3. Of course we can attract a good manager, the likes of Roeder and Souness were down to Shepherd. If you seriously think that the likes of O'Niel wouldn't have come to Newcastle because its too far from London your mad. Just as mad as to consider that Shepherd would even know who Ramos is never mind consider chasing him as our manager. I know how they play and the depressing thing is its an incredibly limited tactic. Its enough to get you just so far playing horrendous Football. But forget about Europe or competing any higher then 6th place playing Bolton style Football. Why don't you go ahead and tell me why I shouldn't be depressed at the idea of a manager who seems incapable of any other tactic, I look forward to this great insight.....
  4. If I read the words "he needs time" once more I might go on a killing sprea. How much time does it take for someone to realise that N'Zogbia isn't a left back? Or that Milner is far better on the right, or that Geremi and Butt are useless together in midfield? How much time does it take for a manager to see that whenever he brings on Emre we play better? Is he fucking slow or what?
  5. Who said anything about man mangement?, I said management full stop. Also comparing him to Roeder or Souness doesn't do him any favours. I'd call a manager twice as good as those two shocking.. Do I know what he's trying to do? Yes, but its idiotic to try it with completely incompatible players. Any decent manager would adapt and work with the players he has until they can get the key players in to make the way they want to play work. Do I like what I think he's trying to do?, no frankly I don't. The realisation that Allardyce is aiming to make us like Bolton is one of the most depressing things I've ever considered.
  6. You definitely don't understand Brummie. Outside of the fact that different clubs have different expectations what you obviously don't realise is that we've had an incredibly easy first half of the season. For instance we've played Arsenal and Liverpool once, both at home. In the second half we'll be playing Chelsea away, Man UTD away, Arsenal away, Liverpool away, Man UTD at home and Chelsea at home... To put it all into perspective overall, the cumulative points total of every side we played in the first half of this season is 393 points. The total for the teams we'll play in the second half of the season is 537 points! Of course all of this is skirting around the real issue, which IMO isn't really league position or even results (though the Derby results are disgusting frankly). What people have a problem with is what they see as shocking mismanagement of the team. I'd have no problem righting this season off if I was given any reason to think it was necessary in order to 'get things right'. But like so many others I don't have any reason to believe that. All I see is a manager playing players out of position to the detriment of the team and the players themselves. As well as putting out extremely unbalanced teams with unfathomable tactics. He seems incapable of using the players he has properly. Perhaps given a few transfer windows he can buy Boltons team.. I think that's about as succesful as he could be here, which is depressing..
  7. Fat sam has shown once again that he has no f****** idea.. I'm tired of pointing out his numerous faults to be honest, we really just need to get rid of him as soon as a good manager becomes available.
  8. I don't think they're paying him £130,000 per week at all. Originally it was supposed to be £83,000 per week. This £130,000 figure only came out after we found out he'd persuaded the FA to take on four of his staff. So I'd say the £47,000 difference is probably what those four are being paid combined.
  9. The part where it relates to finishing second in one of the best leagues in the world...
  10. What was Lippi doing between 1998 and 2001 (appart from Coppa Italia runner up)? Exactly the same size gap in his C.V as the one you mention for Capello. Finishing second in Serie A twice in three seasons with Roma is what he was doing... Yeah what a flop eh?

    F*ck off to you all

So in other words CoachHTT everything good that happened against Arsenal came as a response to the critisism from the media, and more importantly the fans
  12. Our trophy history is average at best yes and it could certainly be argued that our current team is average (below average at the moment with Sam in charge) but the club itself certainly isn't. Our fan base gives the club a big advantage (if its harnessed of course), something most teams in the Premiership could only dream of. Which teams did both play in there first 15 games? Because we've mostly played complete shit so far.
  13. We aren't though are we? My memory is s*** but bloody hell some people seem to have a game by game memory which wipes anything they have seen before Yes we are, ok not much much shitter, but we are shitter IMO If my memory was game by game I'd be a lot happier right now, since we weren't anywhere near as s*** as we have been again Blackburn (even though we still got beaten). I'm sure that's just a blip though..
  14. I don't know what's more wildly optimistic, that we'll beat Arsenal, or that Allardyce would play that lineup. Its much more likley he'll play something like this: Given Beye - Taylor - Rozehnal - Enrique Geremi - Butt - Barton - Emre - Milner Martins Resulting in the inevitable large loss..
  15. We're much much shitter now then we were before he took over though! I hardly think he should need a magic wand simply to not make the team worse then it already was.. Outside of that I agree he should stay on for now, unless the chairman thinks the right man to take over is available now.
  16. The only way there will be any u-turn from fans is if Sam himself makes a u-turn and gets some sense, along with some balls. I really hope that happens, though it seems extremely unlikely.
  17. yes because our Managers not a tactical genius we lost to Derby, no blame can be put on the players. He played: Harper Taylor - Cacapa - Rozehnal - N'Zogbia Smith - Geremi - Butt Ameobi Milner Owen Then to top it off he told them to go for the draw!! After we went 1:0 down and looked completely and utterly hopeless against the worst side in the league he tried to fix things by bringing off Owen for Martins (still one up front). When that genius move failed to bring us a goal he followed it up by bringing off Geremi for Faye! On 75 minutes, with us looking as hopeless as ever and heading aimlessly to defeat he made his final killer move on 75 minutes, he brought on Beye for Taylor at right back. Yeah lets blame the players Owen went off injured. Ok so instead of trying to fix something he actually thought everything was fine, just as bad if not worse. With two substitutions he could have changed to: Harper Beye - Cacapa - Rozehnal - Taylor Milner - Geremi - Butt N'Zogbia Smith Martins
  18. yes because our Managers not a tactical genius we lost to Derby, no blame can be put on the players. He played: Harper Taylor - Cacapa - Rozehnal - N'Zogbia (three cente backs and a left winger) Smith - Geremi - Butt (a striker and two defensive midfielders) Ameobi Milner (a "striker" and a right winger) Owen (a small striker on his own up front to have high balls smashed at him all game). Then to top it off he told them to go for the draw!! After we went 1:0 down and looked completely and utterly hopeless against the worst side in the league he tried to fix things by bringing off Owen for Martins (still one small striker up front). When that genius move failed to bring us a goal he followed it up by bringing off Geremi for Faye! On 75 minutes, with us looking as hopeless as ever and heading aimlessly to defeat he made his final killer move, he brought on Beye for Taylor at right back. Yeah lets not blame Allardyce..
  19. Exactly, people need to remember who we are and how awful we have been for the last 3 years, 5 games ago everyone was over the moon after our best start for years You've been listening to the media far too much, only the blind or moronic were over the moon about that. My opinion was that we'd had a very easy start to the season and despite being 5th or 6th the team didn't look good at all and the manager looked clueless. It was reminiscent of when Roeder first took over actually. A lot of people were blinded by the fact that'd we were winning games. But people who actually watched the games and had any sense all said the same thing, that we'd done well despite his management, not because of it, and that he should not be made permanent manager.
  20. Who's using his past against him? Its his present activities that are the problem. His past would be irrelivant if he hadn't shown already that he's stuck there..
  21. If he's the one the chairman and owner really want then I wouldn't lose any sleep that's for sure. Good thing Shearer has plenty of managerial experiene and a proven track record eh? No good thing he would actually be the chairman/owners own choice. Also good that he wouldn't be a vastly overatted manager who can only have his sides play one way and refuses to learn from his mistakes no matter how many times he makes them.
  22. If he's the one the chairman and owner really want then I wouldn't lose any sleep that's for sure.
  23. I'm sure given enough time he can buy the players to turn us into Bolton.. can't wait. If the right replacement isn't avaialable then keep him for now. But if Mort/Ashley have the man they want lined up I hope they sack him now and get that manager in.
  24. People don't want Allardyce out due to a bad spell though (or not the ones with any sense anyway). The bloke has been shit from the start with his formations, team selections and decision making. People are sick of the insipid performances and ludicrous decisions, the terrible results are just the nail in his coffin.
