Clutching at straws.

I'd assume that would mean another left back is coming in? Kadar would have been third in line I'd guess Aye. You would hope this means we've got something tied-up ourselves.

but Baggio said he's Keegan's number one target.. WHAT NOW? He's obviously just been overruled by Wise.
-
Good luck to the lad.

Dinner lady told me about Cole at Primary school, same thing happened when Keegan left - dinner ladies knew everything back then. Shearer is a canny story. Was down in Hertfordshire for the traditional family holiday with my Spurs-supporting relatives, 5 of us packed into my Aunty's Metro listening to the radio when a news bulletin comes on: "Newcastle have completed the signing of Alan Shearer for a fee of £15M", well needless to say I went crackers celebrating, culminating with a rather venemous tirade at my cousin (who was a little girl at the time ) which ended with "...just try and stop us now!" which got me a stern telling off from the mother. Was absolutely buzzing for the rest of that break, but was gutted to miss the unveiling. Had been mesmerised by Shearer during the Euro's which we'd watched most of down south. Brilliant memory.

What about Beye Beye wasn't on international duty, so he doesn't.

Needed saying, unfortunately.

Their wage to revenue ratio must be 80% at least now and its likely they'll get a couple more bigger name players in too I would've thought plus with a new stadium to build Gaydamak is really putting his money where his mouth is so to be speak. Must be nice.

PSG were a bit better during the time of Ronaldinho, Robert and Ginola like, were they not? Hit the fan recently.

I'm sticking with the simple, classic "Volare" base for mine: #Gutierrez, whoah-oh-oh-oh, Gutierrez, whoa-oh-oh-oh, he's Argentinian... we call him Spiderman# If I post it in enough threads, it's bound to catch on.
-
Portsmouth are building one hell of a squad down there for a club of their size.

Not this season; he's been fairly shit every time i've seen him play. He'll probably turn into an excellent player once Ferguson's sorted him, though. Definitely needs to learn when to pass rather than going for glory. Sounds like somebody else in their first season at Man Utd a few years ago...
-
Aye, would anyone blame him for wanting to move to Arsenal even if he really did want to go? I wouldn't.
-
Aye but the years we were in Europe, we obviously built our reputation in the rankings. Glad to see these UEFA rankings actually count for something like. On the rankings over the past 12 months, Newcastle are joint 322nd in the world. http://www.iffhs.de/?10f42e00fa2d17f73702fa3016e23c17f7370eff3702bb1c2bbb6f28f53512 Pipe down, 33.

Haven't heard that for ages. Top drawer.

We've had the mighty Alan Shearer, now here comes Aaron Spear-er! Oh my, that's bad.

Aye would be nice wonder if Keegan would still be looking for an experienced defender to play with them Would expect him to be content with them and Faye like There's Cacapa here as well, don't forget. I bet he's a quality bloke to have around the dressing room for the younger players. I still think we'd need another LB on top of Evans (if he came, of course) and being really greedy I'd hope we'd still be in for Cuellar!
-
Certainly couldn't hurt to have Edgar, Taylor, Evans and Enrique in amongst our pool of defenders - all players capable of giving good service to this club for a very long time yet.
-
We start Pre Season on monday so expect him by then or later during the week I love how obvious that is. mackems.gif I believe this chap for what it's worth, looking forward to seeing if it comes off.

Liverpool have definitely been sniffing around the market for a backup GK, being linked with Harps back in April and he's been a Liverpool fan since he was a bairn, so I think it's the only club he'd consider. If he hadn't got that run for us last season then I reckon he'd probably be away, even if it was just to sit on the bench there. As it stands he's got the jersey here, so it would probably be an awful decision for him if it did actually come about. I have had the feeling that one of the two could leave, to be honest, though if the reduced wages policy is right I'd expect that player to be Given ahead of Harper, I'd bet Shay is one of the best-paid keepers in the league.

Harper to Liverpool?
