  1. Agree completey, he lost the ball on the halfway line and didn't bother at all to track back, he does this too often for my liking. I love him going forward but he is getting caught out too ften of late!!!
  2. Good pro performance, coming in after a time on the sidelines, thought he had a 7/10 for us last night... No complaints from me really. Obviously Mapou or Debuchy are first in line...
  3. Marveuax and Anita both had excellent games last night, as long as they are both fit I see no reason how pards could drop them. Who do you pick for the back four, honestly even simpson had a great game last night!! I would go for a tight defensive back four, two in front of them and an all out attacking 3-1 up top: --------------------KRUL-------------------- DEBUCH-----TAYLOR---COLO----HAIDARA -------------CABAYE-----ANITA----------- -----GOUFF------SISSOKO----MARVEAUX ----------------CISSE-------------- BENCH: ELLIOT, BEN-ARFA, TIOTE, MAPOU, SANTON, PERCH
  4. Very pacy, tenacious and reads the game well. Very early days, but santon shoul be looking over his shoulder and hopefully improving his defensive side of his game otherwise this lad is going to push him out...

The team needs to have a plan B rather than backs to the wall defending and shot blocking when we go ahead. There were a few occasions last night where we could have passed the ball out if we were a little calmer, we have the players to do this now... I would also much rather have seen Obertan come on instead of Shola and us try to get two quick passes out of defence then hoik it up one of the sides of the pitch to set the pace of Ober away on the counter.
  6. Shola on in last 20 to defend a 1-1 draw, last gasp headers from corners, hoofball to no effect asking them upon us again... FFS this is NEWCASTLE, this is what we have come to love :)
  7. When he plays well he's a beast and he's pretty positive when trying to pass to people. I would personally have Anita in for him in the middle until we score a/some goals and then bring him on to shore up defence
  8. Pardew is aware that we have to score goals to win this, I reckon we will see a very attacking side to begin with and if we score he will bring on the defensive subs: ---------------------Krul----------------------- Mbiwa-----Taylor-------Colo---------Haidara Obertan-----Cabaye----Anita------Marveaux ---------------Sissoko----------- ----------------------Cisse------------------

    Papiss Cissé

feel sorry for the team when it actually "clicks" for him, he's going to score a hatful... He is getting into the positions, his offside runs are decreasing, back to the good old cisse soon!!!

Their full backs are also fast which gives you a double headache on the wings, they really are a handfull... Midfield has enough nous and bite to keep the stars ticking over. Think Defoe will be a loss to them as his pace also made them dangerous.
  11. In general I think he tries to play positive football with regard to his passing.
  12. As someone stated, apart from the looney tackle he had a very good game last night. He broke up a lot of their play and his energy and bite was cracking
  13. For a guy playing out of position I thought he was 10/10! Very composed and great pace and enthusiasm

    Hatem Ben Arfa

Would love to see him on the pitch for 20-30 mins if needed against Mentalists... Really would! I know it's tempting fate but it would lift the whole team to have him back...
  15. I would like us to put out a very strong team but rest a couple of key players. Perch has covered Tiote well in his absence so I would have tiote in midfield again, perch can play against southampton as well. I would rest/drop Santon for Haidara, and put simpson into right back and rest colo. Might even rest sissoko for anita. Hatem would perhaps make the bench as a game changer... My team would be: ---------------------Krul-------------------------- Simpson-----Mbiwa-----Tayls-------Haidara Marveaux----Tiote-----anita-------Jonas -------------------Cabaye---------------- -------------Cisse---------------------- Bench: Elliot, Sissoko, Perch, Santon, Ben Arfa, Colo
  16. Thought Santon got caught out far too many times last night and his positioning was awful for most of the match. He saves grace by his forward forays... Tiote was excellent apart from two moments of madness, cabaye also showed a petulant side we knew existed but ignored through blind faith. Good game, bad linesmen, should have strolled it. Away goal and were through!

Looks like he'd be more at home chewing logs in a natural dam than being on a footbal pitch
  18. how many chances did Suarez screw up tonight? when he waited for the keeper to take him out and slipped and the ball went too far...cheatin' scumbag!
  19. Cleiton and Cristaldo their danger men... Midfielder and striker.
  20. could be that they have a slow left back or that there full backs go forward a lot

    Vurnon Anita

Really feel sorry for him! He was our star player in a quite a few games when we were complete rubbish, our only shining light... Come back Cabaye, Tiote and even Perch and he's out the team. Tiote is obviously the direct swap for Perch and I for one think that now that he doesn't need to be "attacking" he can concentrate on what he does best; breaking up play. I would certainly have had Anita on instead of Jonas based on his form prior to the newbies, but he has picked up again now and is playing better... He should play tonight at some point, think it will be to replace sissoko or cabaye at around 60 or 70 if we are winning...
  22. We should be capable of getting to the semis or final of this Waffa Cup campaign, with Ben Arfa coming into a vein of form for the final.... scoring a full field dribble and missile into top corner, giving newcastle and our adopted genius the media attention and plaudits we deserve!! Pards will be smugness personified and will shag all and sundry in a debauched celebratory night on the tiles. :) I can dream!
  23. Easiest would be to the tune of "Here we go" Sissoko, sissoko, sissoko... repeat
  24. I was on a flight from Barcelona to Stockholm yesterday and was sat across the aisle from Mascherano and Messi, on their way to the Argentina-Sweden game... Previous to this intimate insight into a footballers domain I actually thought Messi was a decent chap... Found out to my dismay that both he a Mascherano are both arrogant stuck up pri*ks, thick as two short planks and the typical stereotype of mollycoddled footballers. As soon as they got on board they were ordering the stewardesses to put their baggage here there and everywhere with an arrogance that was belittling, then after quite a few swedes (mostly youngsters) asked for their photo with them, we heard snide remarks about all and sundry on the flight. Made a comment to the guy next to me about this and his words were "Lots of money but bancrupt of manners" (mucho dinero pero poca clase), couldn't have agreed more. Just thought I would let you all know, dissapointed myself aswell, thought he would be above that... Oh well!

Last two games have been much more like a 4-1-4-1 tbh... I think tiote is well capable of shoring up in front of the defense and the rest of the midfield pressure further up the pitch and play more attacking football..
