  1. What's wrong with wearing your colours? If the players see a mass of black and white at away games it must be a good "lift" for them, if they see an away end fool of Chavs, who think they look cool but just look like 90's throwback hooligans, they might not think we've turned up. Just an opinion... never liked the Hooly element TBH.
  2. Now: Ferdinand (hypocrite and big mouth; N.B. his mouth is like Bernie's from the simpsons when he belches) Past: Roy keane, I would have loved to see someone completely twa**ing him!
  3. I also think that Geremi can pass a ball quite well and it would be a shame to take him out the team and leave butt in the team. We can't rely on Butt for things he has done in the past and experience, he is totally off his game at the moment and doesn't deserve a place in the team. His mistakes are very costly and a Geremi Guthrie partnership would be interesting to see... If I were the Boss: ----------Given------------ Beye---Colo---Taylor---Bassong Jonas--Geremi--Guthrie--Zoggy ---------Duff----Owen----- Duff up front on his own and owen in between the lines... Subs: Butt, martins, Enrique, cacapa, xisco
  4. George Culkin in the times has said that the parties interested have proved that they have enough funds to purchase NUFC. Also states that three of the parties have funding to buy new players.
  5. I think the article is quite close to the truth TBH, take out the socially depressed part and it cuts close. At least I thought it ran reasonably true.

I'm starting to beleive the hype!! Good reviews for this lad...
  7. I will go for: ----------Given---------- Beye---Colo---Taylor---Bassong Jonas---Guthrie--Butt---Zoggy ----------Owen----Duff---
  8. A 442 then: taylor---colo--cacapa--enrique Geremi--butt---guthrie--zog -----duff-----owen
  9. We don't know the full story and probably never will. With regard to his scouting and player acquisitions; he wasn't doing too badly but we will never know if it was he who overrode Keegans authority or whether the new chairman llambias was the main instigator. We can't really blame him until it goes to court and the beans are well and truly spilled...
  10. Twenty Two times? Serial Quitter? Should be locked up for the sanity of English football
  11. Aye, bit of a hard one... Didn't really want Tel boy but it's a bit embarrassing when he turns us down
  12. Moderators; change "will" to "would". I would take him back happily but the forgiving part would not be applicable at all from my point of view. Stood up for himself and our club tbf...
  13. I like it!! Totally commited and will deffo contribute... Power to the Mags!!
  14. It's a shame he couldn't have come out with a statement like this a long time ago and telling us what his intentions for our club were!! Would probably have made this fiasco easier to swallow...

    ICNewcastle

Out: Carr, Ramage, Emre, Milner, Faye, Rozenthal In: Coloccini, Guthrie, Jonas, Gonzalez, Bassong, Xisco Six out and six in. Which six would you go for? I know my six and if we made a profit then unreal!!
  16. Wouldn't it be great though... Power to the people!!!
  17. It's also a possibility UV!! Whichever of the two at least the long term aim could see us grooming some young talent (and perhaps selling it!!) and developing a decent team. It's hard to rationalise but you would think his business objectives override anything else...
  18. Social conditioning and lack of education and opportunity TBH... Life deals you your cards and you try and make the best out of your hand... some people don't, that's all.
  19. Wouldn't mind TBH! Seems like a nice bloke aswell from his TV interviews...
  20. I don't think so, results have been decent after a shaky start and the fans were happy so it would be totally against all good business sense to plan for his resignation. Just think two sides have been pulling in opposite directions instead of making the best of our resources they/him have inevitably funked up big style!!
  21. He's right, it is all so superficial and you struggle to find some sort of link to your team these days, we are just clients for these new owners who really don't give a monkeys about our clubs but just want to milk us and the rest of the world if possible. True also, that you can't just change allegiance as Nufc is in our hearts and it is one hard slog to be honest. I think he means if you want real "romanticism" and feel football how it used to be and on a purists level still is... For those of you who haven't been to lower division games you should try it... Knowledge is power!!
  22. Here's a few positive footballing managers: Frank rikaard (Available) Gerard Houllier (decent stuff played at LYON) Marcelino (good footie at Racing santander)
  23. Personally I think both sides need to make some sort of concession and meet in the middle somewhere i.e. Keegan has last say over sales and two buys per window and wise and company have say over young players brought in and other two players for window. Something along those lines would be a better solution. It's a shame they can't meet somewhwere in the middle because I like what both sides are doing for the club. I honestly think Ashley has NUFC's interests at heart otherwise he wouldn't be such a clever business man that he's made out to be .i.e. Newcastle does well, he makes pots of cash... Simple isn't it???
