Depends on your football philosophy i.e. 1. do you play to win? 2. do you play not to lose? If your philosophy is the first you will score more goals and most likely win more games as that is the objective of football to score more goals than your counterpart. If you are cautious and play it safe you will get a draw at best or lose. Mickey owen keeps us in the number 1 rather than the number two option. Torres, Drogba, Van Nistelroy, Berbatof etc are all striker who offer little more than goals!!!

Beye.......Colo......Bassong..........Enrique ..........Geremi.......Butt............Jonas .....Owen..........Viduka.....................Martins Added geremi in the midfield to make it a bit more robust. I thought zoggy was woeful yestedrday, he really lost every ball and until the last 15 minutes when he started to run at players he looked totally out of synch. One of the reasons enrique was suffereing so much yesteerday was that zoggy offered no help whatsoever and just sauntered back up the pitch on quite a few occasions, I was shouting at him to move his arrse about 10 times in the 1st half!! The defense looked solid apart from enrique, why doesn-t he just do the simple pass instead of trying to do the platini pass all the time, very frustating. Got caugh out of position quite a bit aswell. Thought butt and githrie had quite a good game, but arca and digard had a better one... Owen was invisible the whole game and tbh Oba was the onlky one likely to score, can-t beleive joe took him off. I wouold also have gone for the 433 with jonas coming off as zogg started to play after 65 minutes. Well, a point isn-t that bad!!

We need a change on the left, I-d get geremi on the right and put jonas down the left, defensively it would be a bit tighter and we wouldn-t give so many balls away. I think charles has mucked his chance up TBF... Hope he proves me wrong in first 20 mins of second half!

Bassonfg doing very well, nzogbia has given far too many balls away, nicky butt thinks he zidane, enrique is having a horrible one aswell, owen hasn-t seen the ball yet I dont think and Martins is going to score. Very even up till now, 1st goal wins it for me as whichever of the two will collapse afterwards, both seem a little nervous..

I didn't think Coloccini played that well today, he was hesitatnt a lot of times and got away with a few bad attempts at tackles when their attackers got past him. bassong was really good, covered for the other players and was solid all the time, really liked him, looks very fast aswell!! I would keep this back line until they do something wrong, that's the way it should be...

Thought Bassong was outstanding , coloccini was average. Rest werre very good

Would like to see taylor back for this one and would also use Owen instead of sHOLA. Bassong instead of Enrique and Nzogbia for Duff. Just that

Nightmare, two soft goals to lose us the game. If they hadn't of gotten the pen we would have shafted them. Typical!

Duff has stuttered and flapped for the whole of the first half, everytime he gets near the last third he shakes his leg a bit then passes backward. Jonas is out of sorts, haven't seen a decent run from him yet. Cacapa and Coloccini look shaky and enrique is giving the ball away too easily, heart is in mouth everytime he gets it. Beye doing OK. Butt and Barton second to everything and miles off the pace, need a change in the middle desperately. Shola and Martins best we have on field, don't know when owen will come on, I would personally have him on for duff and shove martins further to the left...

Midfield has been non existant for us, they are dominating everything TBH. Can't fault the front two and the back line is getting non stop pressure, they don't look confident either. Get guthriee on for Butt and bassong in the middle

My thoughts: Football is a TEAM game, the present team is working well and the partnership upfront is reaping huge benefits. Shola and Martins are playing 100% at the moment, a lot of people on here are giving Shola & martins their nod for man of the match... Bring on Owen after 60 minutes for whoever isn't playing well against Fulham, if they are both playing well then Joe will have to show us that he is big enough to keep owen on the bench until he's needed for ball retention and calming tactics!

Where did we get this bloke from? No real quotes about names... I really can't see anyone buying us at all, it would be a bad investment on purely financial terms and we aren't exactly a global brand if they wanted us as their advertising medium, in fact I would go as far to say that we are devil incarnate where positive branding is concerned!!
