  1. I thought Jonas had his worst game for us yesterday, didn't get one cross right all afternoon, floated past the players with relative ease but the final product was'nt there! Ameobi was poor aswell, didn't battle for anything and was no threat whatsoever. Lovenkrands wasn't much better TBF. Defence looked ok but we had a few scrappy balls that weren't cleared quick enough. Butt played better yesterday and Nolan was working hard and keeping us ticking in midfield until his brain imploded! We deffo need both duff and jonas on if we are sticking with butt and nolan in centre midfield just to get us some flair and pace into the game. MARTINS & VIDUKA, PLEASE COME BACK AND PLAY, EVEN IF YOU ARE 30% FIT YOU WILL BE BETTER THAN WHAT WE HAVE.
  2. I'll take a draw, they aren't a bad side everton...very compact and fight to win games. 1-1
  3. So there are thousands more Fu**wits out there like "wor Ash" who don't do anything resembling due dilligence... Ha hahaha Mickey, that makes me feel a little better that some of your "hard earned" (ahem!) might be lost...
  4. I.e. Ashley will settle out of court. I will bet anyone any amount they like on this fact...
  5. Ashley has more to lose than Keegan if he is found out to be what we think he is? All the lies and the shoddy management will be confirmed if Keegan wins... Keegan will just be confirmed as a serial quitter and we won't think much more of it. Less of a legend that's all.
  6. Key player for them is Felliani, if he plays well we could be in for a shock... Really like that player. Key for us is if the "real Nicky butt" stands up? If he plays well the rest of the team will click...
  7. Ah, they took my point on board about a petition.. Well that is a lot better than I expected, drumming up more support and doing it the right way. Obviously there will be a lot of Anti-Ashley rhetoric but if they want a voice they must do this type of thing properly. As for all the positive supporters (read above posts-) we have commenting on here, this is the correct way to do a supporters club. Ask for opinion and do things in a formal manner. My opinion: I like it, they are getting up off their arsses and doing something about a situation they don't like...Brilliant!!

    Jonas Gutierrez

Can't wait to see him in action again on saturday!! Supposing that Hughton has more than three brain cells??
  10. I drop him...... into the north sea with a breezeblock tied to his feet. ------------------Harper------------------ Saylor--Coloccini--Bassong--Enrique Raylor----Butt-----Nolan----Gutierrez --------Lovenkrands--Martins--------- Duff can be our not-so-super sub. Fair enough! Doesn't seem to bad a team and Rtaylor will give added bite to midfield.
  11. But what do you do with Duff? He did play well the other day and he seems to give 100% and lead the other players a little...
  12. Anybody who takes the time to set up a supporters club must realistically have the best interests of the club at heart. It certainly seems perfectly straight forward to me, that they, and many others, are fed up with the current state of affairs at SJP and they want this to be known... I also think that it is fair that they should have someone to listen to their opinions as they represent a certain "mindset" of support. I think that their final objective is not to get Ashley out (perhaps it is? perhaps it would be better...or worse?) but at least to portray their views about how the club should interact with the fans and about knowing their objectives for the club. It worries them that they know next to nothing about the real aims of Ashley &co and judging on past actions it is obvious to most that they are not in the interests of NUFC. N.B. Derek's sounbytes don't satisfy this requirement!! (poor show from local rags aswell!!) I also think that giving ultimatums and "stirring" things up will not better the current situation but in fact deteriorate it. I would be all for presenting signed petitions and serving question and answer documents for a means to find out what is really going on. A fan survey outside SJP with at least 10.000 opinions would certainly clear the air. I would also use the press to forward this and to get into the public eye rather than grouping the fans to shout and vent their frustrations in a "vgilantesque" setting.. Rant over...
  13. Thing is, nothing surprises me any more... You would think any manager would do the blatantly obvious, I thinks the only contestable decision from my previous post would be the fact that steven taylor "hasn't done bad" playing on the right, hasn't been great either in my opinion and I also think that R taylor would be a step up. Things will get difficult when beye, barton & guthrie are also back... interesting?
  14. If you want to manage you have to make tough decisions: Shola is crap and should be replaced by Oba Steven Taylor out and Ryan in his place Jonas on the right wing I hope I am right but lets see... Don't know about hughton as manager?
  15. I thought he git peed off with all the positive vibes on here...ahem!
  16. Butt on for 45 minutes and smith on for the second 45.... Come Back Joey, all is forgiven!!
  17. I would liken our team system (west brom) with what Capello played against Spain the other night: Good defence with attacking full backs (ahem!), midfield two sweep in front of defence and are very defensively structured, wingers and fullbacks are our attacking outlets (jonas & duff), big frontman to win ariel ball and pacy accomplice. Everton have a very organised team and their midfield of arteta and felliani are excellent, upfront cahill plays behinf the centre forward and represents the major threat. Defensively they are sound. We need to win the midfield battle and pressure quickly, would love to see Guthrie & Nolan together, would be a lot more dynamic than Butt... I would also go for pace upfront rather than brute force as their defence copes with the latter better than the former.
  18. It's not a boycott. It's a rally. A rally for what ? NUSC So if there are people there chanting for Ashley to leave they are not there for NUSC is that what your saying ? Serious question. I'm not saying anything like that. Many people want Ashley to go and many don't. Many are NUSC members and many aren't. The two things aren't mutually exclusive, so I'm sure you will get some of those chants. But then you get those chants away from NUSC organised rallys too. I've chanted it myself in the stadium without a committee telling me it was ok. But in an organised rally stuff surely has to be organised therefore the leaflets should be all join NUSC, banners saying the same and people in charge of what happens. Thats the whole point of an organised committee and an organised rally. What I predict will happen is you will have an overruling over people chanting for Ashley to go and for cockneys this and that and that is my whole problem with the current set up of NUSC. It appears from the outside to be a solely anti Ashley protest group. I'm sorry but that is how it looks and how it sounds from their meetings. The NUSC can't prohibit members of the public from voicing their own opinions in a public place though. They've taken the precaution of organising their rally away from the stadium so in the event that it does turn into an anti-Ashley gathering it doesn't affect those who disagree, or the players on the pitch. I think 90% of fans are anti-ashley, so on the whole I'd think the NUSC are. But i think they are (for the most part) taking level headed action that doesn't have a negative impact on the team. Even though I do think a couple of their statements have been heavy handed. Poll on this forum shows only 20 percent think the NUSC represent their views. Do you reckon 70 percent of people on here are even more "anti-Ashley" than they are? I think that most people would agree with NUSC soundbytes on the current mangement & ownership, BUT most people would disagree with their way of presenting these worries.
  19. This is what I would like to see: --------------Harps-------------- RTaylor--Colo---Bassong--Enrique Duff--Nolan--Butt---Jonas -------Oba----Lovenkrands Duff works his arse off and Rtaylor is needed for set pieces and is probably a better defender than Staylor. I would even think about replacing Colo with STaylor to give him a kick up the rear! Whoever mentioned that ameobi/carrol would be outfought by Lescott & jagielka are totally correct, pace is the one thing they will worry about...
  20. It's not a boycott. It's a rally. A rally for what ? NUSC So if there are people there chanting for Ashley to leave they are not there for NUSC is that what your saying ? Serious question. It appears from the outside to be a solely anti Ashley protest group. I'm sorry but that is how it looks and how it sounds from their meetings. I think that it is guerilla tactics: You won't speak to us through normal formal channels, well just wait and see how we generate media reaction and fan support, now come and speak to our Credible organisation. I hope this is the underlying objective??
  21. I think that they want to show that they are a "credible" (copyright llambias) organisation and they want to air their displeasure at the current situation. Perhaps it is a way to show that perhaps 50% of the support agree with them in one manner or another. I certainly agree that the current management is lamentable but I disagree with boycotts and rallies... I think NUSC are trying to use the resources at their disposal to set up some sort of correspondance with Ashley and company (through media impact?), the problem being that these "childish" (copyright buzza) owners and management team have the hump with them for organising a first boycott and for publishing all of our worries and doubts about what they want to do. I am on the fence on this one, I agree & disagree...hhhmmm

    Spain vs England

I thought Jagielka was good until that half hearted tackle gave Villa the chance to regain the ball and shoot. JT looked slow and didn't react quick enough throughout the game. Don't think they were told that Fernando Llorente is probably the best forward to head the ball on set pieces, who was meant to be marking him anyway? Nobody was near him... It is actually a pleasure to watch Spain's talented midfield midgets run a game like that, it kind of made up for us getting beat. At least it was by the best team in the world..
  23. Had Ashley of spent some money in this transfer window he wouldn't be getting half the stick that he does and I don't think this boycott would have taken place. The lack of investment and childish/unprofessional attitude (You don't like me so now I'm going to sell it...) are my main rankles with this management/owner. P.S. I also don't think the boycott is the right answer, it will just antagonise the current owners and bring us into the media glare again. If NUSC are able to manipulate the press then it might not look so bad but I don't think that will happen.
  24. He was actually found out to be a "post-Ashley" poster and yes that donkey really is Dave!!
