If we buy an "attacking" left back we would surely need good back up and/or a good defensive alternative like Targett. He has never let us down all season and gives =>7+ performances every weekend. Get him signed!!

I will repeat until beaten with a shitty stick: Lodi is no great shakes, have watched him carefully since we were linked and he hasn´t had a good season in La Liga. Can´t say before this year, although he did play a few times as centre back (gives cover I suppoose). Would rather go for the man city full back, or nick tariq lamtey (does he play left hand side?)...

My take on this is that if eddie can get 40-50 million for maxi he will take it. he will spend that money on a pacy winger-come-striker who puts in the defensive shift and is technically superior and able to carry out instructions. I love ASM going forward and just for the breathtaking ability he has, but football is a team game and if we want to be CONSISTENT we need top class players who are good at all facest of the game. For example; i was screaming at ASM for the stupid lunge he made allowing the cross to come in for the Burnley goal last week. I bet Eddie was seething... He would have trained it into every player not to go to ground and to stand players up and make life difficult for them. Other more tactically adept players would not have allowed that cross through or would have forced a pass backwards.

Lodi is not the answer. Has flattered to deceive in la liga tbf...

I am now hoping Leeds will go down, I really think Phillips would elevate our midfield and be the anchorman in midfield which would allow other to be more creative going forward.

From a couple of months back to now, what a difference! hats off to the lad, completely proved a lot of us wrong... and gladly so! Would keep him as decent back up now.

I think we should go all out for Raphina, just sos´ we can get a "Brazilian" feel to the team. Would be great for publicity and endearing us to other fans if we had half the brazilian team playing for us. I hope we will spend 150M+ this summer, on quality additions over quantity (5 or 6 players better than what we already have). Signings in order of priority: Striker (guaranteed 15-20 goals) 60M Defensive Midfielder 35M Right wing (Lingard Free) Centre Back (35M) Targett or other (15-25M) Upcoming striker who can play wings also (30M) Players sales of 25M?

Ok, chris was overvalued. But if Ivan Toney is going for 40-50 million (maximum: mid table striker) then surely Maxi would have to be sold for the same? Low to mid table "savior"
