The biggest downer for us is that calum is out, we are toothless up front! Maxi and bruno can be covered, albeit with inferior players, but up front we have very little chance of converting with Wood...

Lots of stuff about Tielemans and also haidara at leipzig. Understandable that Longstaff is not deemed good enough to cover in there, he is allright at closing games out when we are a goal or two up but he gets caught in possession too much and is too slow on the ball release...

Think Gordon will go to Chelsea, he looked really good last night. Pulisic on the other hand was pretty awful every time he got the ball, perhaps trying too hard. From what people have been saying; Joao pedro looked good and at 21 would be a great talent to nurture here. At this moment I think we would most benefit with a winger and a defensive midfielder (so bruno can move a little further up). Fingers crossed!

I would throw in Isak up front, it will give them something extra to think about and should gee our lot up. Not bothered if chris gets the hump, he is actually better to bring on when we are defending a lead as he is a good presser and can win headers... Would also have elliot anderson on instead of Bruno (if not fit), longstaff really does slow us down and get dispossessed a lot...

What this game showed was the huge gap in quality players to bring on from the bench. Calum and bruno are irreplaceable and it showed. Any other attacking position is covered by equal or lower pedigree. I hope we keep buying a few players every window from noe in in to eternity... We might have a squad like citeh in five years time.... Still, to dig out a point when basically your two best players are out is a good show of the fighting spirit we have within the team.

His best season was 20-21 when he was playing right hand side, some amazing goals. when he is on form he is unstoppable. Has not reached those heights again but has been more central when he has played. I like him a lot!

Looking forward to watching him play. I think the midfield/attack we will put out will be a bit disjointed as they will have had little time together. A decent spine of the team and defence means the onus is on the midfield and attackers to show they are up to standard... It´s quite possible that Watford leak out this info to try and better the options we are negotiating with them. It is very beleivable as Everton are about to receive 60 million for the teenage junky lookalike.

Wolves´Portuguese national team also quoted as interested in him. I am torn at the moment; on one side I have every faith in the "team" to pull off the signings we need, yet at the same time I am worried that we are being held to ransom and we will not finalise any deals because the other clubs are getting greedy... I kind of think he has a bad injury, the club are not disclosing it so that we are not held to ransom (even more than present) on a striker purchase.

I think what we need most is the benfica tsriker we were linked with, he can play across the front line and has goals in him and is a feisty presser... Seems right up our street! Paqueta would also be great. just hope he lives up to the hype we have all helped to accentuate...
