  1. Clark is evidently Sunderland level and Krafth only knows how to back off and off and off and off and........
  2. GET CLARK AND SCHAR OFF THE FRIGGIN PITCH PLEASE
  3. Agree completely. He will need to work miracles to get us some points before jan
  4. Aye, some top managers in the prem at the moment. Can see Spurs really getting going with Conte, they have some great players and not many glaring weaknesses. Can´t see anything but them climbing the league. If Levy allows a few purchases in january/next summer they will be another team to add to the big six... prem will just get better and better. For funk´s sake, I hope we stay up... exiting times !
  5. My opinion is that he has thought about the reality of the situation; a team second bottom and without confidence, majority of players who are championship level at best and for him to leave a club that are in the champions league... doesn´t make sense and it could be a career destroyer for him if we went down even after Jan signings (nothing is guaranteed)! You also wonder if his style might just suit Spanish football better than the prem, he has been great with his Spanish clubs but was not so great at Arsenal. I would have like him here, but you can´t blame him for staying put.

I also don´t think Coutinho would be right for us this season, how would you fit him in up front without leaving us super light defensively. Would rather go for a ramsey type before coutinho, he puts his all on the pitch and doesn´t stop running, would be a better similar signing for me...
  7. Deffo with this. I just hope the more fickle bunch give him a few games before the vitriol starts. Likeable person and what he did with Bournmouth is pretty incredible. Yep, right person and right time...
  8. He has been pretty poor this season, but has had a few injuries and players out of form. Watched them at Bilbao and they were unlucky to get beat, they played better football than Athletic.

Aye, quite possible, taking into mind the shenanigans of playing Clark instead of Fede/Schar... I have never believed in the mantra of some coaches about training at the same level as a match, you cannot get the same adrenalin and focus on a training pitch as you can in a competitive match. Some players just rise a bit for games. I do believe they should all be punctual and put an effort into all sessions, but match level is never quite the same, otherwise you would have injuries galore.
  10. Need to poulate the midfield against this lot and hopefully restrict their space to pass and run. I would go for a 4-5-1: -----------------Dubs------------------ Manquillo---Fede----Lascelles-----Lewis Murphy---Almiron--Hayden--Willock---Fraser ------------------Wilson------------------ ASM to come on after 65 mins and try and change game. Lewis and Fraser (speed) tagged with following Lamptey.
  11. I think Emery would be the best man for us at the moment. He plays organised football and gets the best out of players if you take into account the villareal teamsheet (players are way below the levels he gets them playing at). Decent to watch as well.

Biggest mistake from him is Krafth and Clark still in the defense. They have both been shi*t for the last year or two and they should be nowhere near the first team, what can he see in them to have them on the pitch instead of Schar or Fede??? Something strange here...
  13. Honestly, I am stuck between a rock and a hard place with ASM at the moment. He is needed to create opportunities (about the only one) but at the same time he has me screaming at him to try and do his fair share of the dirty work...defending. The position we are in we need every single player giving their best both offensively and defensively otherwise we are going down. He needs to remember that it is a team and a team game. I would only have him on the pitch for the last twenty minutes in any of the upcoming games. He has been awful in the last two games, no effort to close passing lanes or to even approach players with the ball. Really poor.

Need dubs behind the defence. I would stick with the 3 central defenders system, get schar and fede either side of lascelles. Manquillo is playing ok at wingback and we need to try lewis or murphy instead of ritchie. I think hayden needs to hold with willock and almiron either side of him, they put in a shift and technically can get us up the field better. ASM and calum up top. If we did somehow score, bring joe on (ASM) for another defensive shift with the midfield.
  15. I honsetly agree, but i just think if we tried to attack we would have been on the end of a bigger thrashing. Our team cant string three passes together at the moment for whatever reason, only tactics that spring up are get it forward (wings or calum) asap and hope for the best... Sad but true.
  16. I would say the following players are decent prem quality: Wilson ASM (but a defensive liability) Almiron Dubs All of the others are only decent in about 50% of their games and the rest are championship at best... We are a relegation candidate that only a superior manager can keep up. i.e. Rafa or similar. JEvery year our rivals improved where our lack of or stupid investment has taken us backwards from where we were with Rafa at the helm.

Aye, would help if they were comfy in their positions. I would stick with the back five against the better teams and a 3-5-2- against the lesser ones. Murphy and manquillo as wing backs. Fede and schar back in the middle (unless they are utter crap in training???)
  18. I think we all get too distracted by the takeover. The reality is that we have a team of about 90% championship players and 10% prem players, we expect them to stack up against the top team in the prem. And to boot they have lacked any decent strategy/coaching for 2.5 years. Chelsea are playing champions league football and we are playing champions(hip)... I didnt expect anything less than a loss yesterday. The players actually surprised me by reaching 70 mins before caving in.

For me his selection mistakes yesterday were krafth, clark and ritchie. Should have had schar, fede and murphy instead. Got the tactics right. No other way to play at the moment whilst devoid of confidence.
  20. Watched the game also and have a different view; most, but not all, of his "presses" are efforts to cut out the passing options of the attacker, doing this you limit their possibilities of getting closer to a clear pass/shot. Evrything does not depend on an actual tackle being made. He didnt play well but he wasnt that bad either. We deffo played tighter (less distance) between defence, midfield and attack but this also had the disadvantage of meaning we were tucked into the final third gor the whole game. The first james goal was a classic stretch of the defence through very clever switching of play, added to the fact that nobody really got close enough to him either (lack of fitness as whole team puffing at 60 mins). We actually looked like we might frustrate them with the tacktics. Rafa played this way but much better organised and with clear lines out of defense when in possession. We had no other option yesterday but to play this way... or open up and risk a 9 goal ondlaught.
  21. Might be the game to drop ASM and keep it tight until 20 mins from end before unleashing him???

Damn, thought he was still in chelski reserves...
  23. I would go for a 5-3-2: ------------------Dubs (if fit?)--------------------- Murphy-----Fede----Lascelles------Clark-------Manquillo -------almiron-----hayden---------longstaff-------- ----------------Wilson-------ASM-------------- Depending on the state of play: Willock & Fraser to come on for longstaff/ASM and a bit of energy boost in the last 30.
