I think I would be more confortable with him displacing ayoze in the team, same workload but allen seems to have a tad more quality and brings the whole team into play. I am not sure about him playing with Shelvey as we would be very "light" and I can´t see him displacing shelvey as he is who makes our team tick when on his game. To conclude; if we sell merino then yes, if we don´t then I think he´s surplus to requirements...

I think he would be a definite upgrade on what we have, so if we think about getting 15-18million for Mitro, why not splash a couple of million more on the upgrade??? He was played out of position this year (why he´s moaning...), and likes to play the lone/further forward striker position which would fit perfectly into Rafa´s system. Big yes from me for only 20m

I sincerely think that something is wrong with this lad behind the scenes, he hasn´t even made the bench in the last half of the season. We all know he is a classy player, still young and prone to mistakes, but the quality is there, I can´t help wondering why he isn´t good enough even for the bench given that hayden seems to have regressed and we don´t have other midfield options apart from diame and shelvey. Bilbao are very keen on renewing their midfield, it was one of their really low points this past season, all of their central midfielders were well below par. They have a lot of money to spend so 15M € would´nt scare them and it is possible Merino´s head has been turned (see first paragraph?). I would really like to see this lad progress as he is potentially a great player in the making, and I can´t see us getting anything similar for the money we might get from Bilbao...

We need replacements for (wish list): Darlow, Elliot, Mbemba, manquillo, haidara, gamez, Gayle, Kenedy, Slimani, Joselu, Mitro. Apart from kenedy (who we should sign), the rest seem more than likely to be leaving or that we should sell (merino may enter there, not sure if head has been turned...). If we had say 40M plus the revenue from the above, we should be looking at 80million for some new recruits. 40M on two strikers and 40m between Kenedy (or similar), dubravka and newbies...

I think Southgate has probably judged him on his daft antics than his footballing ability, for anyone on the outside (and inside tbh) he looks a complete liability and troublemaker...

I think most of the people on here wanted rid of Ayoze up till around a month ago (me included). The last few games he has shown what he is capable of... Voted for Kenedy (Lascelles a deserving winner tbh), think he made the biggest difference to our team (could say same about Dubravka - he has steadied the defense incredibly), if he had been here from the start I reckon we would be in eighth...

Gayle seems to get in the right positions and make chances for himself, just cannot finish. Striker and nº10 would transform this team.

Don´t want to piss on anyone´s chips, but Arsenal when they play well are capable of blasting anyone out of the water... Very hard one to predict, if we keep playing as we have been we should keep things tight.

I thought both wellbeck and aubemeyang looked on from yesterday, in fact best I have seen wellbeck play in a long while.

I honestly think it´s down to his lack of ball playing skills, he is great at the defensive part of the game but is average at bringing the ball out and handling the ball under pressure. Kind of reminds me of Cahill...

Bertrand would be much better competition that gamez or manquillo... Shane long is still quite dangerous and probably better than anything we have at the moment. Striker and Nº10 are priority buys (assuming we keep Dubravka & Kennedy).
