  1. I guess everyone has their own experiences of the place, some will enjoy supermarket cashiers just getting on with it so they can go about their day. Need human contact, that’s what friends and family are for. Even for normal people a lot of what you state are problems can be negated for example working from home or hybrid working deals with the commuting issue (appreciate that doesn’t work for everyone but does for the majority). Yes, it is competitive but what work places aren’t? Outside of work “keeping up with the Jones’s” exists everywhere. Point accepted about time taken to get out of London but there are many large parks for a bit of greenery and being honest how often are people in smaller cities darting off to the countryside that taking a bit longer in London to do the same would be deal breaker? Yes, not some paradise but even with all its faults, for a wage earner it can still be a great place and for people with money even better.
  2. Live in London myself. So many different things to do, unique boroughs with different communities and vibe. Amazing food, nightlife and shopping. Anyone who thinks it’s a shithole and can’t understand why players want to come here are deluding themselves, one of the best cities in the world.
  3. Talking about pundits always found Joe Cole well spoken and thoughtful in his comments.
  4. Because their fans throw something at the Fiorentina captain that cut the back of his head.
  5. The undeserving but from a selfish perspective I think PL teams doing well in europe opens up the possibility of extra Champions league place. But West Ham have been shit, their fans arseholes cracking the Fiorentina players head open, and a fluky penalty.
  6. Yeah but they’ve been drinking all day in town though. Qatar had it right at the World Cup.
  7. JJB went into administration and Sports Direct picked up a number of their former shops. Ashley won a long time ago.
  8. Not sure how, the landlords signed up to pay monthly rent. When covid struck the Reubens gave them a discount on the proviso they sign up to five year leases, “…..offered its estimated 850 tenants a Covid discount on condition that they extended their leases for five years”. Some 250 refused and took it to arbitration and lost, they where told to pay backdated rent, “To take on Wellington, about 250 tenants formed a pressure group led by Nick Holden and Kate Ahrens of the Geese and Fountain pub in Croxton Kerrial near Grantham in Lincolnshire. These tenants refused the company’s deal, and arbitrators have now ruled that many of them will have to pay rent in full.” Landlord’s weren’t obliged to do anything to help out tenants during covid, looks like the Reubens offered a fair deal but some people didn’t want it and in fact where looking to get off paying rent which they signed up to pay. Not sure sure how the Reubens are the bad guys in this one and people feel they can skip out on their obligations?
  9. Think we’ll take our time with major signings which will be frustrating as we’d all love an early signing. Think we have a list of players in mind for the positions we want with the right characteristics /attributes and will wait for the right deal. Don’t think we’re fixated on a particular player where we’d go all out to get them, as long as some one on our list is available for the right deal we’ll get them but that depends on others clubs making moves. As options reduce for players then the right deal may become possible.

    Scott McTominay

Maybe he might do a job but we need better and for the money they would want I’m sure we could do better abroad. Man U don’t sell top players (unless Madrid come calling), if they’re selling he’s deemed not good enough, why should we settle for that.

    Scott McTominay

Would hate boosting Man U’s budget by taking their leftovers.
  12. Not sure what everyone’s arguing over, we’re not signing him even if we wanted to. He’s way out of our salary structure.
  13. We need to get a hurry on with this planned multi club model. Have some clubs in France, Belgium, Portugal etc where we can farm them out for a couple of seasons then bring them into the first team squad or sell on for profit which will help with FFP.

    Plane spotting

If it’s a charter it could be carrying a different person, just because Zahavi used that plane to arrive in Barcelona doesn’t mean he’s the one flying into farnborough.

    In-house media

All just vague plans, no site identified yet let alone purchased as far as I recall. Still a long way away.
  16. Are we not a system team? High coordinated press, get ball forward quickly, left back tucking in and making back three, right back moving upfield to make additional wide player, right wide player interchanging with right back to get in crosses or a shot off at goal. Not sure how compatible RB Leipzig’s system is with ours as not really watched them other than one CL match against City but if I recall correctly they had the same high press and energy.
