Longstaff will be home grown won't he? He’s older than 21 so needs to be part of the 25. He's 21. And 11 months...you have to be under 21!
-
To keep out Colback....is there a better reason!

It’s either that,League 2 or abroad for the ginger one!
-
Better than have Colback in that Squad...as we would have had 1 spare space!
-
For this to happen, he has to be in the 25....unless Atsu is dropped then he won’t be in!
-
Nah. League one though Or league 2....his level really!

Won’t be in the 25

If he hasn’t he won’t be in Bruce’s 25....there’s still a chance to go into div 1 and 2.......Sunderland perhaps!!!

It’s not too uncommon now. Most promoted clubs go for it and spend the TV money to try and compete. They also have very few assets who will go for huge money to affect their ‘net spend’. We have the third richest owners in English football too, which helps. The Sawiris family are eye wateringly minted and Wes Edens isn't short of a few quid either Most importantly, they're not just throwing money in and hoping for the best, they've appointed a coach with a good paying style and the brief to get the whole club playing that way, appointed a head of recruitment (Pitarch) who has put together a Europe wide scouting system and put in place a CEO who has done the job at Chelsea and Liverpool. Apparently they had two plans - players they wanted, basically - put together last season, one for if we stayed down, one for if we went up. That's the sort of sensible spending we didn't have with Lerner, who threw money in and let MON run things Brummie,How much did the Sawiris Family pay Lerner to buy the club.

Being born in the north-east doesn’t make you a Geordie......Corbridge for fucks sake. Are you a Geordie if you’re born in Northumberland.....does it fuck!!! My bloody dog’s more of a Geordie than this charlatan.....hope he has a bloody excruciating life over the next 3 years.

It seems that(in the Caulkin interview) Rafa was kept as much in the dark about proceedings as we were. Perhaps he had no idea whether the takeover was legit or not and rather than hang around, like us, and wait, took the Chinese offer which was too good an offer to refuse.

1and a half hours left of,amongst others, the greatest tactical manager within my lifetime. Thanks Ashley!

KK’s team was the most entertaining and enjoyable team to watch. If the opposition scored 3 we would score 4. Always felt that the Newcastle curse would stop us winning anything with KK but it was a fabulous journey. SBR had a team of very talented players, had a great time in Europe and some great performances in the premiership....always thought we were 5 years too late in getting SBR and never destined to win a trophy. RAFA on the other hand acquired a team of 100% triers who what they lacked in ability made up for it with grit and determination. Nearly every player greatly improved their skill and understanding of their role to the team.I thought it was just a matter of time before RAFA would win us a trophy.Provide him with just a few good buys in a few select areas and a trophy was getable. In all the time i’ve Supported the team(my first game was in 1960), this is the first time I thought we had a manager and his setup, which would be able to win decisive games in a major competition. Thanks RAFA for giving me hope. Oh and thank you Ashley for taking away this.....may your remaining time on planet earth be void of any pleasures.

Pretty much agree and the final thing I will comment on, we were warned he’s playing us for mugs and the posters were poo pooed at, said earlier 40 years I’ve put in, no more , I stopped going last season even though th3 twat had my money but no more, the £600 will be spent elsewhere .My lads are gutted and for the firs5 time ever don’t want to bother with the match.....they are young and now lost to something else. Lots of emotion on here today and I’m not one to knock fans but how you can renew after this is beyond me, but they will in there thousands. I used to travel up from Nottingham, and didn’t renew after the Keegan fiasco. I swore i wouldn’t return until the twat sold/died or was murdered.

If true there are many ways to read into it:- 1. Takeover done, to be announced next week...Ashley decides he doesn’t want to be around when it all happens 2. No takeover, no deal for Rafa....Ashley runs scared and pisses off on another holiday. 3. He’s trying to get more money than is already being offered and is off to the states to try and drum up more interest. 4. He’s taking the piss......couldn’t give a toss about the supporters, and is off on another jolly.

I don’t like the sound of that.....they only wheel that cnut out, prior to bad news “Mike hasn’t sold to this or that group cos they didn’t have the club interests to heart”.Hope i’m wrong.

In that case, he’s not signed cos it’s a crap contract or he’s waiting to see if there’s any further news on a takeover.....hence his journey up to Newcastle on Monday, only to get the “no comment” BS from Charley.Which is why he stormed way from St Jame’s,with only 3 weeks left to make his mind up.
-
If the contract on offer amounted to not being backed then he'd have rejected by now, no? Assuming he’s been offered a contract.Perhaps that’s why he(supposedly) stormed away from St Jame’s on Monday.Perhaps he’s actually not been offered anything yet, wanted confirmation on Monday that Ashley isn’t just stalling.......and he got no positive response from Charley.Everything’s just if, but’s and hearsay.

King Kev! Jinky, that's always been a dream of mine, that one day he would return (again!) as chairman. Can you imagine the ride it would be?? Think i’d die a happy man.Imagine the “love in” with Kev as chairman and Rafa as manager. Then i’d Wake up !!!

Clarke was before my time (just!) Askew was a midfielder? Whitehurst was a mentalist Cunningham - not gifted by any means, but he always put in 100% OK accept Askew not a forward.........what about Paul Cannell. Went to school with him. And he was shite then. Best thing about him was the ditty ushered in the Leazes every time he missed a sitter “Paul Can hell”

How about Billy Whitehurst, Billy Askew, Ray Clarke or Tony Cunningham.

Simple let’s use the money we can generate through sponsors, sales, premier league prize money, tv money......that’l do for starters.
