I was just about to post something to that effect. Anyone know what week we could start being 'worse off' than we were last season? Wonder, when that time comes, if the skid marks in the press will bring last season in to the conversation as much as they currently do. After 28 games, 26TH February 2019 we had 31 points

but if you’ve got nothing better to do....

Thought I’d resurrect this thread, now that I’ve found it again.....PLANES AND HELICOPTERS....don’t open it if you’re bored with all the excitement.
-
Can we resurrect the “Braindead” thread.....apparently big john from Gateshead has some new vital Twitter information about the unveiling of the takeover.

I hate Bruce as much as anyone, but apparently everyone was given the chance to fly back or get home by train.Got to admit, if it was me, I wouldn’t have flown during that Storm. I don’t think there’s any significance to this, though I’d also would want to spend as little time with Bruce as possible and if given the chance, would also have taken the train.

Last years teams that went up are bottom, second bottom and 6th bottom......teams that come up from 3rd tier have as much a hard time staying in that division as teams promoted to the premier have. The gulf between league 1 and championship is immense.Unless Sunderland were to spend a fortune(which they don’t have) they’ll struggle to stay up.

It’s just down the road from me.....it’s a former 18 hole golf course. They’ve managed to keep some of the holes and therefore a 9 hole golf course after training for the players.....What do we have...a plastic pool and wheelie bins for their entertainment.

I used to commute up from Nottingham every other week until the Keegan fiasco.Swore I’d never go back until Ashley left...still waiting.Used to watch the match on Telly when Rafa was around....not watched a single match under Bruce, won’t watch another game till he’s gone. Still follow the scores and read the forum daily and sadly want to believe every time there’s a fakeover....but I’m very gullible.

How about “The Gulag”

. Early September to Div 1 and 2,Scotland or the continent
-
Exactly why Championship clubs should have been allowed at least a couple of weeks to get loans in from the premiership.Every Premier team will have a host of players not in their 25, now looking for work and only able to go to Div 1 and 2,Scotland or the continent.
-
Doesn’t need to be included in the 25 as he’s under 21.think he’ll be part of Bruce’s Squad and used in cup games etc.
-
Longstaff will be home grown won't he? He’s older than 21 so needs to be part of the 25. He's 21. And 11 months...you have to be under 21! You have to be 20, then? Correct Not correct. Anyone still 21 on 31st December counts as U21. Unfortunately Longstaff will be 22 so has to be in the squad I was close!! Anyway i knew Longstaff had to be in the squad.......Shortstaff on the other hand !!!
-
None of our 25 should go out on loan until the ginger twat has moved/absconded/permanently injured....just in case!

To keep out Colback....is there a better reason!

It’s either that,League 2 or abroad for the ginger one!
-
Better than have Colback in that Squad...as we would have had 1 spare space!
-
For this to happen, he has to be in the 25....unless Atsu is dropped then he won’t be in!
-
Nah. League one though Or league 2....his level really!
-
Won’t be in the 25
-
If he hasn’t he won’t be in Bruce’s 25....there’s still a chance to go into div 1 and 2.......Sunderland perhaps!!!

It’s not too uncommon now. Most promoted clubs go for it and spend the TV money to try and compete. They also have very few assets who will go for huge money to affect their ‘net spend’. We have the third richest owners in English football too, which helps. The Sawiris family are eye wateringly minted and Wes Edens isn't short of a few quid either Most importantly, they're not just throwing money in and hoping for the best, they've appointed a coach with a good paying style and the brief to get the whole club playing that way, appointed a head of recruitment (Pitarch) who has put together a Europe wide scouting system and put in place a CEO who has done the job at Chelsea and Liverpool. Apparently they had two plans - players they wanted, basically - put together last season, one for if we stayed down, one for if we went up. That's the sort of sensible spending we didn't have with Lerner, who threw money in and let MON run things Brummie,How much did the Sawiris Family pay Lerner to buy the club.
