  1. From Newcastle. Now living near Nottingham. By the way RICHO, i thought i was the only one from this area. WHERE are you living. I drive to Doncaster, park me car and get the train up for Home matches. There's lots of support from Doncaster waiting on the platform. Quite a few from York and Bloody hundreds from Darlington.
  2. I travel up from Nottingham for every game, i book my rail ticket about 6 weeks before the game, that way i get the cheapest option. Its a bugger always having to check the fixture list for changes, i don't trust Setanta or Sky and i expect to find changes to KO at any time. They don't appreciate the problems travelling supporters have.
  3. Do you honestly think Newcastle United have a computer system that keeps the data of the people wanting tickets?!?!. Did it not dawn on you that at Crimbo time they were selling half season tickets? When I gave up a season ticket that was in someone else's name to get a season ticket in my name, I walked up to the ground on the morning of the first game of the season & bought one, that was about 2 or 3 seasons ago when demand was higher. Gey ya ££££££££££££'S & go to to the ticket the office. That makes us fools waiting for "The Letter" seem a bit naive. I think you're spot on with that.........................wish i was clever!!! Still i've got one at last.
  4. Yes, how helpful of the box office to ignore the list and only inform you of what was going on after you contacted them. > If I was on the waiting list and they'd possibly given away a better seat to a johnny-come-lately, I'd be quite tempted to tell them where they could stick their season ticket. It might help Mike Ashley and co. with their review of how the club is run, if a few people wrote to the club telling them how crap the ticket office is. To be fair to the box office, i don't think they are the ones who offer those on the waiting list a chance to buy a season ticket. I think that info. comes from higher up. The guy i spoke to was actually unaware that there was season tickets available through the box office, untill he enquired of someone else in the office. Seems like the decision to sell tickets was taken by someone higher up in NUFC. Which proves that he and his colleagues are crap at their job. I think that info. about tickets is made higher up in NUFC and they just don't tell the box office staff of the arrangements. It takes punters to ask questions, and the staff have to make enquiries, before realising that tickets for this and that are available. As pointed out by S.S.R. it should be one of the jobs the Review should pick up on. Meanwhile, keep hassling the box office, and you'll get your season ticket. Sorry to keep banging on about this, but if the bods at the ticket office can ask these questions when prompted, surely they can ask these sort of questions beforehand and keep themselves in the picture? I'm not trying to defend the box office but i think the problem lies deep inside NUFC who should be able to organise the sale of season tickets better than they obviously are. I still cannot get to grips with having a letter from NUFC to say that i'm on a waiting list and even giving me a reference number, only to find that season tickets are being sold to the general public before those, who possibly have been on a waiting list for ages, to get first option. I think the box office is at the bottom of the queue, when information is passed down from "above".

Those on the list will be mighty pissed off, if they don't get a ticket.
  7. I've just rang the box office and enquired about season tickets availability and the guy was very helpful. He said that they have just been given the go ahead to sell season tickets from the box office. Even though there is a waiting list and those on the waiting list have not yet received an application for purchasing one. Although i'm on the waiting list i wasn't going to wait to see if NUFC send me a letter so i 've purchased a ticket for the Milburn stand. If anyone is interested in getting a season ticket or is on the waiting list..................give the Box office a ring now.
  8. I EMailed Jan Brien about season tickets and got the following reply. "never listen to stories!!! NO ONE other than current season ticket holders are able to buy tickets. There will be tickets available when all current season ticket holders have been dealt with, and people who are on the waiting list will get priority" She was very amiable and helpful Aye Jan will sort it, shame her staff can't seem to though.. What did you put in your email to get that repsonce though? the "Never listen to stories!!! NO ONE" . Got to agree with Skirge on that, my mate rang and got told the same. But got in the car and drove to St James Park and got one no problem. I just quoted DavB93's experience of a mate who got one from the box office when he went down there. The old chinese whispers again!!!!

    Bye Bye

IT seems to me that Sam wants to reduce the wage bill. Luque won't go to PSV because of his wage demands so Sam is forcing the issue by saying there is no place for you here, thus perhaps making Luque rethink his opportunities at PSV.
  11. Going back to the 70's, the magic of Tony Green takes some beating, quick, fast feet, he always excited the crowd, but for me it has to be jinky Jimmy smith..........A pure entertainer. The crowd would wait for his innevitable nutmeg, then go home, happy.
  12. Doesn't away goals count at the end of extra time, then penalties if they cannot be seperated.
  13. Born in Heaton, lived in Newcastle for 30 odd years before taking up residence in Nottingham via London. I was a member of the East Midlands Supporters Club, before my job stopped me travelling to matches. I lost track of the EMSC. Does anyone else live in the East Midlands and does the EMSC still exist
  14. I went a few weeks ago. Beardsley didn't turn up, nor did Jeff Stelling. However the tour was done by the guy who runs the daily tours round the ground and he's superb, and Jeff Stelling was replaced by Kelly Dalgleish, who's a lot prettier. After the tour everyone left, so you don't have to stay for the Timeshare talk. Oh and free drink when you arrive. Worth a visit, as its free.
