What an absolute load of shite. What you mean is "played quite a few good passes out of defence". What should he have been doing racing forward for the one-two. Any excuse to have a go. No not really. I have never had a go at Taylor. I just noticed when he played a few balls down the line, not from a central position and just wondered what he was doing. I`m not the type of person to "have a go" for the sake of it mate.

As some have said, its ridiculous to start a thread about this so soon. Sam has had no time to gel the players and get the players used to this formation. Its our second game. I actually think it looked like we were purposely being cautious whilst learning eachothers game and tactics. I think for the first time we are building from the back. Clean sheets and solid defense play then work on creativity and forward play after. It was about not losing at home first and for most. Sam is doing things new to most of the players we have, tactical dvds, homework etc. Slowly but surely we will grow into a good team but not the second game in. Sam has probably been busy with transfers also rather than 100% commited to training.

Harper - 7 Couple of good saves Carr - 7 Suprisingly looked good. Roz - 7 Commited and missed a couple of times Taylor - 6 Caught on the ball a couple of times, noticed him standing admiring his passes a couple of times Zoggy - 7 Made a couple of good tackles and looked better going forward. Butt - 7 Got stuck in Smith - 6 A quite game passing wise, couple of good tackles Geremi - 6 Didn`t look up for it, got caught a few times with the ball Milner -6 Better on the left, poor on the right Viduka - 5 Poor and waited for the ball to come to him, lost out. Martins - 4 Didn`t stay wide and had a poor game

Tevez was rubbish for Man Utd last night but Nani showed what he is capable of.

In the region of £8 million. F*ckin happy days A profit then. Amazing. This season gets better and better. 20% Of the profit or the sale, can`t remember goes to Ipswich but yeah its good to get our original fee back. Northern Monkey your hatred for Dyer is drama queen-tastic , fucking hell I don`t get on with the boy due to a prior falling out but I don`t wish him to break his legs. No one really likes him in his home town but they gave up wasting breath on slating him years ago . Will you be joining the Hammers board now to carry on the hatred, cease posting on here or find a new target ?

For some reason on Match Of The Day last night I half expected Gary Lineker to say " And now for last nights games where Tottenham got bummed in the face by Everton" .
-
Why boo any of them you thick twats ? Never understood the mentality of some people.
-
What with someone else who will sit in the treatment room. Baba has been in training for 2 seasons to replace Dyer in there.
-
You spineless tw@t, your mate probs thinks you mrs is a pain in the @rse, when really its you. Your missing the point. They are the spineless ones who would get offended if I told them the truth.
-
Fucking hate both of them tbh! Don't mind Jol mind, but Moyes is a first rate bitter twat! Both sets of fans are cretins of the highest order! Agreed. I hate Everton as team more as they always cause shite on the pitch for us when ever we play them. Don`t mind the fans. Its the opposite for Tottenham like the team, dislike the fans.

I blame the misses all the time when I don`t want to offend a mate. Its easier than hurting their feelings. This could have been the case. Rather than say sorry Keano, i respect you as a footballer but what the fuck are you asking me to do playing that shite, sorry but no! Much easier to blame the misses.

Yes, if he had strong 18 stone deflecting boots on he would have been fine.

He was out clubbing all weekend as usual.

Well said Alex. how's the mull bowl going? Is it to do with a loyalty bonus? or is it the Sell on clause that has upped the price. I would say neither. Something new has come to light just before he signed that has caused this problem Tell you what Alex is going to be pissed off if it's his bowl that has caused all this trouble! There is a sell on clause but it is only if there is a profit, it would be 20% of profit. Just found out. So if he goes for the new price ITFC will make some money but they won`t if he goes for the WHU valuation.

Rebellious, while we have your attention, in another thread (the wisdom of selling Dyer) you claimed that the "family reasons" argument wasn't merely a way of Dyer transferring out without jeopardising his loyalty payment. In light of all that has happened in the last four days do you still hold to your claim that that wasn't the case? You spoke with the authority of someone allegedly ITK, yes? I`m pretty sure the family reasons thing is true. Family matters are personal so even if I knew the full truth I wouldn`t post it on here. As for the loyalty bonus maybe its to do with the agent. Agents are more in control of footballers financial matters than I thought as I found out a couple of years ago when myself and a certain footballer were going to go into business together only to be blocked by his agent.

You need to add Owen to that list. when fit. owen scores. so adds somethign to the team. i also feel dyer adds to the team if brought on as a sub late on in a game He hasn`t scored since 2005 not including the friendly goal for obvious reasons . We don`t really know if he is going to keep breaking down now. when owen is fit he scores, never been in doubt, thus he's a totally different prospect to dyer who produces virtually the same whether he's fit or unfit Hopefully Owen will continue to do well but who knows, he has been out virtually 2 years and is out again. I just feel he should be in the Baba and Dyer catergory. If given equal opportunity I feel Martins will out score Owen this year. dunno how you can write that with a straight face to be honest - you're talking about putting englands second (or third) all time goalscorer with baba and dyer the ONLY thing they have in common is persistent injuries....ability-wise they're in different leagues entirely therefore firmly not in the same category It must be obvious I wasn`t comparing ability as I assumed you wasn`t as Dyer is miles ahead of Baba. I was talking about breaking down injured after every 2 games and on massive wages in the process. Owen has done nothing for 2 years. Your talking about his England record from ages ago. I don`t think he will be the same player he was. I think Martins will be better this year if he gets the right coaching. He is faster, younger and stronger. If he gets to work on the mental side of the game.

It said on TV he is captain for the season

£6m for a bench player when we have NO left back? Genius. Do you HONESTLY think we're not looking at left backs then? Do you think that's it, Sam's decided to fuck the defence off in favour of Alan Smith? Do you HONESTLY think we are going to sign 2 left backs, 2/3 centre backs and a right back before the window closes? Because they are a much bigger priority imho. Given that Allardyce says we're bring in 4 players max, no I don't. I still don't see what any of that's got to do with signing Alan Smith though. If Dyer goes he needs replacing. Allardyce still has 3 defensive signings in mind. So we replace Dyer and we also try and get in those replacements. It's not fucking rocket science. Dyer doesn't need replacing. Thats not fucking rocket science either Errr ok then. I disagree. What makes you think though that signing Alan Smith makes any difference to the availablility or likelihood of us signing defenders? I'm really fucking intrigued. Neither of us know who the targets are or how much money there is, but there's the immediate assumption by people that we've somehow blown our chances of bringing in defenders by spending the money we get on Dyer on a replacement. We have 8 midfielder (not including kids) and 5 strikers (not including Carroll). Why do we need to spend £6m on Smith? If we are going so spend £6m on an average player I would much rather spend that £6m on an average defender. As you yourself have said we aren't going to get complete cover for the defence so why is it so wrong for people to comment that they feel spending £6m on Smith is a waste of money? The reason is simple, we need triple cover in every position because we are NUFC with our 20 injuries a week for the past 4 years. We could sign another 6 forwards and still end up playing a youth team kid at some point in the season.

I`m agreeing with Gemmill far too much this week.

Alan Smith in midfield was a bad move but when SAF used him up front near the end of the season I was really impressed. I`m quite pleased with move, mainly as I stated a few days, it will make us alot harder to beat.
