  1. Crumpy is usually right on medical stuff if i remember. Barton would have had to have an x-ray first, thats why it didn`t get instantly reported.

  3. Real Quotes “I would not be bothered if we lost every game as long as we won the league” - Mark Viduka "One accusation you can’t throw at me is that I’ve always done my best.” - Alan Shearer “I’ve never wanted to leave. I’m here for the rest of my life, and hopefully after that as well.” - Alan Shearer “I’ve had 14 bookings this season - 8 of which were my fault, but 7 of which were disputable.” - Paul Gascoigne “Leeds is a great club and it’s been my home for years, even though I live in Middlesborough.” - Jonathan Woodgate “I can see the carrot at the end of the tunnel.” - Stuart Pearce “I always used to put my right boot on first, and then obviously my right sock.” - Barry Venison “He was one inch away from nudging it home, that’s what happens when you’re near the bottom” - Football commentator on ‘Match of the day’ “I’d rather play in front of a full house than an empty crowd.” - Johnny Giles “All that remains is for a few dots and commas to be crossed.” - Mitchell Thomas “I definitely want Brooklyn to be christened, but I don’t know into what religion yet.” - David Beckham “Germany are a very difficult team to play…they had 11 internationals out there today.” - Steve Lomas “I’d like to play for an Italian club, like Barcelona.” - Mark Draper “If you don’t believe you can win, there is no point in getting out of bed at the end of the day.” - Neville Southall My parents have always been there for me, ever since I was about seven” - David Beckham
  4. The Forum gets busy enough for advertising surely ?
  5. I saw a Newspaper poster on the way to work today saying Town ( Ipswich ) in for Toon striker. Not sure who yet. My guess is Carroll.
  6. I lost a £50 bet with 2 spurs fans last season. I`m not bitter though, let them have their year or two of finishing higher. We all know it won`t last. What I`m saying is I wouldn`t really expect much else from a fan of another club that has had to suffer being worse than us for years and has just found out our prize money takes the piss. I had the same attitude with my mates who support other clubs and I don`t expect other supporters to be any different. Its all banter. I don`t mind other fans from other clubs on here, even the annoying ones, it gives us a mini break from the constant black and white.
  7. Does that include intertoto money? Why is everyone on MJ`s case over this? He is only posting an article, he doesn`t decide the prize money himself does he?
  8. I'm not cracking a joke about his dead family, i'm making a valid point about his commitment to the club, or lack of. I'm not making this up, you can check back for his stats last season, fuks off when things were getting tough middle of November, then makes a miraculous recovery the day after his brother dies, plays to his best, then fuks off again (possibly started the next game in europe) and doesn't make another appearance when the shit hits the fan again. He picks and chooses his games while picking up in a week what we'll be lucky to make in a year, yet only the death of a family member motivates him enough to make it to the pitch to earn that money. I wouldn't piss on the cunt if he was on fire, in fact i'd probably throw on a log or two, the guy is a parasite, vermin, a total fukhead who's took the living piss out of this club since he's arrived. He does not deserve sympathy, understanding or restraint towards him. I'm sorry for the loss of his brother, but in the end of the day, prove to me why else he made that rare appearance fully fit, ready and motivated, then fuked off again after his families honour was upheld? Don't want an argument about it? Then don't comment on him tbh. I have to agree with Toon`s Taylor. It`s not taking the piss out of his dead brother but taking the piss out of the fact that he played that one game. Just got fit out of nowhere. Then is ill again. I`m sure Babayaro is 2nd to Dyers injury record, at least Dyer actually wants to play. When he doesn`t its because of treatment.
  9. I think he deserves it. He played that day then dissappeared again.
  10. That must put shola`s value at about 50 pence. I suppose its something I have never considered that Sam may only see Shola as a squad player which is a good sign.
  11. As long as they're all in before the season kicks off I couldn't give a shit what order they get here in. True. Its looking good now. Smith and Barton are the type of player that like to break a sweat for their team. They are natural at wanting to win, it doesn`t have to be the team they support.
  12. I would probably have Solano or Butt for our best player last season, although Martins kept us up. Solano - For Skill Butt - Getting stuck in and keeping his head dispite the mess around him Martins - Crucial Goals. Owen was not here last season, Shay was in and out but did play a few blinders - Spurs and Arsenal games. Taylor and Milner just played tbh.
  13. The Owen clause is there purely for when/if Liverpool want or are ready for him.
  14. I was about to vote no to SWP then I remembered the quality goals he scored. Milner has played nearly double the games for half the goals. 18-6 Swp 31-3 Milner Obviously if we have the money I would want both players. If Zoggy is off and Duff is mullered I think it would be a good move as both Milner and SWP can play well on the left, middle or right.
  15. No no , I`m trying to think of the last CB that we brought in that actually developed into a better CB after his time with us. Or that ended up as transfer speculation for a bigger club. Woodgate doesn`t count because he was class before he came to us and was an injury mess after he left us. If you were a player on the up and had a choice between us and Chelsea you would pick Chelsea knowing your chance with us wasn`t ruined because we take Chelsea rejects after anyway.
  16. Lets face it unless your John Terry, Rio or Woodgate you risk ruining your career in Newcastles back four. If I was a cb I wouldn`t sign for us unless we had already bought an LB and RB. I think he made the right choice.
  17. Man Utd 2-2 - considering the team we put out.
  18. I thought the fixtures were not random because of travel, congestion and to avoid driving up from one end of the country to the other to close together.
  19. http://www.eveningstar.co.uk/content/eveningstar/news/story.aspx?brand=ESTOnline&category=News&tBrand=ESTOnline&tCategory=news&itemid=IPED08%20Jun%202007%2008%3A45%3A36%3A463 SIX alleged drug dealers were due to appear in court today after police carried out raids on four premises in Ipswich. Kirsha Dyer, 19, of Bentley Road, Ipswich, Maxwell Appah, 21, of Acton, London, Dare Salau, 21, of Plaistow, London, Lewis Self, 27, of Canterbury Close, Ipswich, and Pannick Nikuna, of Burnt Oak, London, were scheduled to be brought before Ipswich magistrates. All five and a 17-year-old from London, who can not be named for legal reasons, are on charges relating to class A drugs. They were among 13 people arrested around Ipswich in dawn swoops by police yesterday. Anne-Marie Breach, a spokeswoman for Suffolk police, said: “Six people have been charged with conspiracy to supply Class A drugs after a number of arrests were made in Ipswich.” The remaining seven suspects have all been released on bail after questioning. They must now return to police stations in Suffolk on either July 18 or 19. Teams of officers swooped on addresses as part of Operation Academy, a crackdown on drug dealers infiltrating Suffolk. All the suspects were taken to police stations at various locations in Suffolk for questioning. Raids began after three people were arrested in a car in the town early yesterday. Further arrests were made at properties in Cody Road, Orchid Close, Canterbury Close and Alderlee. Detailed searches of all the properties were carried out as officers hunted for evidence of drug dealing. Operation Academy is a major initiative targeting pushers infiltrating Ipswich from other areas.

Would rather wait to see who we bring in defense. If we bring in an older player.
  21. Oh, no doubt. Yeah i`m dreading that too, because in the odd match he played a blinder for us his crunching tackles injure players as he did Ballack and others before him. Watch out Owen.
  22. Probably chose Wigan as his brother is nearby at Stockport.
  23. November 05 , a year and a half. At his age i`m not sure how I would react to losing my dad. The authority figure in his life. One of my daughters lost her mum at a young age and she is still not right in the head. Anyway you lot carry on slagging him off.
  24. Thats handy if he has a goal bonus in his contract.
