Anyone think that players that would improve us may want higher wages than what we are paying most of our first team players at present and we don`t want to risk the dressing room harmony we have at the moment ? I think its all to down to the fact there are probably only one or two players out there that would improve us without taking the piss on wages. Also I think some players we are interested in may not want to take the risk, because we are not in a position of dead certs to go up.

He did some decent little chest traps and flicked headers. The run for the penalty was also good. Unfortunately he missed three absolutely great chances including one where he fell over the ball. And obviously missed a penalty (which I said at the time should've been given to someone else). Overall he was very poor and because of those misses I would say he cost us the game. That said, in the second half the whole team didn't turn up. And additionally, Ayoze was also pap. I like what Klopp said the other day about Sturridge something like, "he had two chances, however he is human - so he missed these chances". Mitrovic has just come back from an injury (which looked grim), thrown into a dysfunctional eleven of misfits and youngsters playing a system they don't usually and expected to score every chance he gets to singlehandedly win us the game. Not accounting for the keeper keeping him out with some good saves. Aye, he was very poor today - but did anyone come out of this with any credit? The whole team was dreadful. Where was Perez, what was he doing? What did he achieve as one of our most senior players? Maybe if Mitrovic employed some tit to make social media posts about loving the Geordie nation stood beside a Christmas tree as Perez does, he'd get less criticism. Mitrovic has played well this season when he has started matches, other than today and against Blackburn. Gayle has also had some stinkers this season where he's barely touched a ball and we've lost the game. It happens. It also happens more frequently if you are dipped in and out of the team and you struggle for consistency and good performances, especially as a striker. See Sturridge at Liverpool. People mentioned Murphy coming in and hitting the ground running - well he didn't against Wolves in the EFL Cup (where he missed chances and was pretty average). Murphy has scored in the last two games against really woeful opponents in dire form. The Rotherham keeper for example, was embarrassingly bad. Whereas today, the Oxford one had a stormer. I'm not saying Mitro will be a great success or anything. I firmly believe that Rafa will sell him, but he is used as a scapegoat by a large majority of our support. If we started him every week as we do with Gayle, he'd have a similar goal tally at this level. Whether he's good enough next season if we are a PL club is a completely different story. I have always been 50/50 with Mitro. Like him for his antics, but I`m not blinded by them just a shame he isn`t really that good. How ever there is no way Mitro would have put those 2 away Murphy did. They would have both been put wide.

Maybe a few of the players selected today needed reminding why they are not selected for the league games. Also shows that our squad depth is pretty pointless if this is what they are capable of.

I get that and I have not read any articles, I mentioned it as I wondered if anyone else noticed. I suppose when he came on I expected him to be as fired up as us supporters from all the injustice but I just didn't see it really.

. My comment is from what I saw last night. I have no opinion on him in general either way to be honest, he`s not great neither is he completely shit in. I was being fair, Anita tried really hard and helped out massively. Hayden, Ritchie and Yedlin ran themselves into the ground whilst we had 9 men having played all match. If you could find the stats and take it from when he came on everyone did more running, more pressing...well more everything, he was no help and didn`t look bothered either.

Can anyone find out how many times Diame touched the ball last night ? To me it seemed like we went down to 8 men.

You sense he is thick ? How do you do that, Spiderman or Darth Vader ? Probably one of the stupidest posts I`ve read on here in 10-11 years. Even if he was thick it wouldn`t get in the way of him improving as a CB. By your logic Chris Smalling should be the worlds best CB.

On Twitter thanking the Preston fan for the 20p lobbed at his head.

Don`t know if its been mentioned, only went back 2-3 pages but I was shitting it in case Mitro did get a hat trick. I could see him taking his shirt off for the second time, getting a second yellow and off.

I think we tried Ritchie on the left for the first few games and he looked average compared to on the right.

Wow. As some form of defence, I can't tell the difference between Shelvey and Ritchie on PES Wow. As some form of defence, I can't tell the difference between Shelvey and Ritchie on PES If you could see what I'm trying to watch, then you'd understand. Shelvey looks like Harry Hill and I'm struggling to work out which one is Clark or Dummett at times. Nothing to worry about m8, I can`t tell the difference between Diame and Colback on what I`m watching.

Last night the live video of the match on Facebook got cut short as the poor girl filming it was grassed up. Call me paranoid but there were a fair few obsessed mackems on the live video feed commenting/fishing. Wouldn't put it past one of them phoning in to the ground. I can`t logically see it being a NUFC or Norwich fan watching it deciding to get it cut off.

It did - but was equally due to moving Hayden out of midfield and brining on a headless chicken. Lost all our composure and fell apart. I thought this too 90%, 5% Sels being shit and 5% Gayle not rounding the keeper one on one or passing back to Gouff down the left.

At the very start here he did, then downhill ever since. Like most of our signings for the past however many years. -
Has to go, Barkley was poor.
