To me he applied a different standard to both sides: we were pulled up on every niggly foul but they were permitted to do them. The non-call that leads to their goal is a lot more shocking than a lot of people seem to have noticed today, the trip on Gordon was blatant.

I dunno, we weren’t great but I thought we were worth a point really. We did hit the bar twice, and that second of theirs should never have stood. It wasn’t a good second half and it reduces our margin for error, but was an example of when the fine margins don’t quite go your way for me. The aspect most troubling was again how pap Bruno looks.

That’s one of those areas where you’d think could VAR not step in? Gordon obviously and cynically tripped and they go up the other end and score.

While this is becoming circuitous, I don’t think the situations are the same. The first team squad is shallow on top-end talent; I had hoped he could use his supposed contacts book / knowledge of less popular markets to find us a difference maker or contributor over 2 windows. Perhaps you are right and truly he is not permitted to sign anyone. Who knows. On balance I’m not convinced by him. You are equally entitled to disagree.
