Fair play to him. I pay no attention to Italian football so I’m not qualified to comment at all, but as an outsider three appointments at his age and profile seems questionable. Maybe the team isn’t good or the financial situation is bad, so they can’t go higher profile. But with those significant caveats, my assumption would be that Roma can do something more exciting than hire him for a third time at what (I assume must be) the very tail end of his career? He’s 73…

The only dead horse that has been flogged more is the fast and furious franchise

That’s not his point though, is it? His point is that £80m isn’t insulting or inherently unreasonable.

Any team with Bowen and Paqueta has a chance in my view -
In a nutshell because it’s a massive opportunity to virtue signal

Was it Potter who said people who don’t rate Dan Burn don’t understand football? Or something to that effect. For £10-15m we have a centre half / left back who is super reliable, dedicated and endurable. He does so much more good than he does bad and to be otherwise is to willingly opt for ignorance. He’s a cracking Newcastle player and we’re lucky to have him.

Your dedication is admirable

You reckon? I think he’d stay at Bournemouth. Not much between them this year IMO
