  1. At the price I think the idea is that Elanga will be a purple in the near future.
  2. Personally think it’s quite clear he’s better than longstaff and the current version of Willock, and so would be a 4th instance of raising the floor.
  3. I reckon you’ll support us either way, I personally.
  4. I don’t think you do really

So weird the way they instruct their shills to ensure everyone thinks they’re respectful. Wonder why it needs to be specified. I’ve never wanted us to batter a side more than these now. Total histrionic squirrel grillers.

It’s definitely worthy of criticism that we still haven’t replaced Wilson, that’s been on the cards for 2 years.
  7. Interesting debate, I think. Currently I think most of us would accept raising the floor as much as we now seem like we might given how awful the window has been at times, but is it a failure not to add anyone who raises the ceiling? Personally think the signings raise the floor and then Eddie works on them so that they raise the ceiling.
  8. I see the victimhood boner laser is firing up again, their absolute favourite status. Expect a petition to the government to follow.
  9. I say call his bluff. Agent a cock but Isak could have the morals and character to say no, or to at least say no to doing it in this way. I'd hope most ordinary and reasonably-minded people watching this will think he's an arsehole. Next up I'm sure they will start making noises about slavery with insidious attempts to invite readers to draw inferences of racism, but we should hold fast and tell him to act like an adult.
  10. Somewhere between baller and bagsman?
  11. I really hope we eat them alive in first home game, with fans voraciously howling and hissing every time they’re on the ball. Make it total hell for them.
  12. Yup. Raise the floor if not the ceiling is the mantra for me now.
  13. Not for me, it's telling that they're willing to move him this quickly.
  14. Excellent, 3/5 of the way to having a decent-ish window.
  15. Probably but, you know, decency and that
  16. Sure, but honestly I don’t think it makes a huge difference if his current stance is I want to leave and don’t want to play. I think it strengthens our hand in that we aren’t totally fucked if he doesn’t play, but we can stick him on the bench regardless of Wissa being here. Which he isn’t.
  17. Is it? He’s still one of the best players in the division who instantly makes us way better when he plays properly. He will make bank whenever he chooses to do so. I don’t condone it but I understand it. The bit that did surprise me is that I thought his reputation with the squad, club and us meant more to him than it does, but I don’t know the bloke from Adam.
  18. Honestly? This is what the super-wealthy do sometimes. They can get away with it because they can afford to. His bargaining position is incredibly strong, so while I think his conduct is immoral and highly disrespectful to the club and fanbase, I do at least see the logic in it. The club has not done some of the things it said it would, and he could earn and win more elsewhere. Certainly, we could seek to sue him for breach of contract I imagine. I doubt it will be of much use to us in practice.
  19. Ah come on man. It is what it is and like all of us you’re strapped in for the ride, ups and downs. Isak’s conduct sucks but it’s quite rational given his circumstances. Business has no respect for emotions or decency, and football is the grimmest of businesses. Howe will see us right, man.
