We need a real manager to our club, someone with reputation(and im not talking Souness type of rep). With mediocre managers such as Souness, Roeder, Big Sam, kinnear etc isnt signs of a big club or a club going in the right direction. If we get a manager with a big reputation we can get good players here instead of Barry Ferguson, Riise etc. And Btw if u guys were the chairman, would you have given money to kinnear? I for sure wouldnt have.

I wonder if Carrol gets injured will xisco be played? I think JFK would rather play with one striker than play xisco. I feel JFK and Hughton have personal issues with him.

I agree what ure saying about we need 2-3 players to become a europe chasing side. The problem is, we need top class players in central midfield. If we get two class sentral midfielders i think we would be there. We need to replace Gary Speed which we never did, and replace Jenas of 02/03 the box to box player he was that season. If we can get in to players simular to that, we will be fighting for a place in europe.

Take off nicky butt, and we wont be so easy to break down. He doesnt track home, and doesnt track the players. Benayoun was his man to take by the first goal, but he just let him run into the box. His position play is the worst i seen in a long time, poor guthrie that gets raped by 2-3 players each time.

Butt is the worst player on te pitch today, its like playing with 2 men less on the field. If he had a red jersey today, he would have had a decent game. And why doesnt anyone tell him that chasing the ball alone and running away from the midfield 4 will never get him anywere, just puts us out of balance. Is Geremi so shite that we cant put butt on the bench?

I have to agree with this. Somehow I had a bad feeling when Taylor is going to take the freekick, and Shay is rather to the "left" hand side of the goal. He shd be standing rather to the center as if the ball travels at the same speed to the left or right - he could cover both sides. The problem is if you stand in the middle of the goal on free kicks, you want see the ball before its over the wall. The wall yesterday was to big(5-6 men in it+some wigan players) so Given had to stand that much to the left if he was gonna see the ball. But this is really something the coaches and det goalie should have been working on the training-ground.

Was he injured or just tired? dont think he is match fit to play more than 30+ min tbh. It might be the achilles injury, he did have his fair share of kicks by the wigan players.

Cant believe that Kinnear didnt take him off at half time, or even in the middle of the first half. Did he even hit a newcastle player with a pass today

Bit of a risk. It will always be a risk to play new players, especially young ones. We have always said that we cant throw in young players in relegationfight, when we were in the top we couldnt throw in the youngsters in the champions league fight... when can we throw in youngsters? When we are in the lead with 4+ goals? How does a player get experience, and yet alone premier league experience? By sitting on our bench or playing reserve footy, ofcourse not. Neither going on loan to other leagues. We seriously need to change our mentality towards our younger players, and give them a chance to show themself.. Just take 3 of the top 4 as an example, man utd, liverpool, and arsenal all gives youngsters a try from now and then.

I hope we get in some central midfielders, thats were we really lack players imo.

Owen score 1 in 2 games for us, and is injured 3 of 4 games. So if you count how many games newcastle play and how his goal ratio is pr newcastle game, then it isnt excactly good is it. We should be able to replace a striker who scores 9-11 goals a season, shouldnt we?

Xisco cant speak english, so he cant play football in england.. But yeah, would like to see Xisco start again.
